1 Y ahweh said to Moses,

Y el Señor habló a Moisés, diciendo:

2 “ Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them, ‘I am Yahweh your God.

Habla a los hijos de Israel y diles: “Yo soy el Señor vuestro Dios.

3 Y ou shall not do as they do in the land of Egypt, where you lived: and you shall not do as they do in the land of Canaan, where I am bringing you. You shall not follow their statutes.

“No haréis como hacen en la tierra de Egipto en la cual morasteis, ni haréis como hacen en la tierra de Canaán adonde yo os llevo; no andaréis en sus estatutos.

4 Y ou shall do my ordinances, and you shall keep my statutes, and walk in them: I am Yahweh your God.

“Habréis de cumplir mis leyes y guardaréis mis estatutos para vivir según ellos; yo soy el Señor vuestro Dios.

5 Y ou shall therefore keep my statutes and my ordinances; which if a man does, he shall live in them. I am Yahweh.

“Por tanto, guardaréis mis estatutos y mis leyes, por los cuales el hombre vivirá si los cumple; yo soy el Señor.

6 “ ‘None of you shall approach anyone who are his close relatives, to uncover their nakedness: I am Yahweh.

“Ninguno de vosotros se acercará a una parienta cercana suya para descubrir su desnudez; yo soy el Señor.

7 “ ‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father, nor the nakedness of your mother: she is your mother. You shall not uncover her nakedness.

“No descubrirás la desnudez de tu padre, o la desnudez de tu madre. Es tu madre, no descubrirás su desnudez.

8 “ ‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father’s wife. It is your father’s nakedness.

“No descubrirás la desnudez de la mujer de tu padre; es la desnudez de tu padre.

9 “ ‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your sister, the daughter of your father, or the daughter of your mother, whether born at home, or born abroad.

“La desnudez de tu hermana, sea hija de tu padre o de tu madre, nacida en casa o nacida fuera, su desnudez no descubrirás.

10 “ ‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your son’s daughter, or of your daughter’s daughter, even their nakedness: for theirs is your own nakedness.

“La desnudez de la hija de tu hijo, o de la hija de tu hija, su desnudez no descubrirás; porque su desnudez es la tuya.

11 “ ‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father’s wife’s daughter, conceived by your father, since she is your sister.

“La desnudez de la hija de la mujer de tu padre, engendrada de tu padre, su desnudez no descubrirás; tu hermana es.

12 “ ‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father’s sister: she is your father’s near kinswoman.

“No descubrirás la desnudez de la hermana de tu padre; parienta de tu padre es.

13 “ ‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your mother’s sister: for she is your mother’s near kinswoman.

“No descubrirás la desnudez de la hermana de tu madre; parienta de tu madre es.

14 “ ‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father’s brother, you shall not approach his wife. She is your aunt.

“No descubrirás la desnudez del hermano de tu padre; no te acercarás a su mujer, tu tía es.

15 “ ‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your daughter-in-law: she is your son’s wife. You shall not uncover her nakedness.

“No descubrirás la desnudez de tu nuera; es mujer de tu hijo, no descubrirás su desnudez.

16 “ ‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your brother’s wife. It is your brother’s nakedness.

“No descubrirás la desnudez de la mujer de tu hermano; es la desnudez de tu hermano.

17 “ ‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of a woman and her daughter. You shall not take her son’s daughter, or her daughter’s daughter, to uncover her nakedness; they are near kinswomen: it is wickedness.

“No descubrirás la desnudez de una mujer y la de su hija, ni tomarás la hija de su hijo ni la hija de su hija para descubrir su desnudez; son parientas. Es aborrecible.

18 “ ‘You shall not take a wife to her sister, to be a rival, to uncover her nakedness, while her sister is yet alive.

“No tomarás mujer juntamente con su hermana, para que sea rival suya, descubriendo su desnudez mientras ésta viva.

19 “ ‘You shall not approach a woman to uncover her nakedness, as long as she is impure by her uncleanness.

“Y no te acercarás a una mujer para descubrir su desnudez durante su impureza menstrual.

20 “ ‘You shall not lie carnally with your neighbor’s wife, and defile yourself with her.

“No te acostarás con la mujer de tu prójimo, contaminándote con ella.

21 “ ‘You shall not give any of your children to sacrifice to Molech. You shall not profane the name of your God. I am Yahweh.

“Tampoco darás hijo tuyo para ofrecerlo a Moloc, ni profanarás el nombre de tu Dios; yo soy el Señor.

22 “ ‘You shall not lie with a man, as with a woman. That is detestable.

“No te acostarás con varón como los que se acuestan con mujer; es una abominación.

23 “ ‘You shall not lie with any animal to defile yourself with it. No woman may give herself to an animal, to lie down with it: it is a perversion.

“No te ayuntarás con ningún animal, contaminándote con él, ni mujer alguna se pondrá delante de un animal para ayuntarse con él; es una perversión.

24 “ ‘Don’t defile yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations which I am casting out before you were defiled.

“No os contaminéis con ninguna de estas cosas, porque por todas estas cosas se han contaminado las naciones que voy a echar de delante de vosotros.

25 T he land was defiled: therefore I punished its iniquity, and the land vomited out her inhabitants.

“Porque esta tierra se ha corrompido, por tanto, he castigado su iniquidad sobre ella, y la tierra ha vomitado a sus moradores.

26 Y ou therefore shall keep my statutes and my ordinances, and shall not do any of these abominations; neither the native-born, nor the stranger who lives as a foreigner among you;

“Pero en cuanto a vosotros, guardaréis mis estatutos y mis leyes y no haréis ninguna de estas abominaciones, ni el nativo ni el forastero que reside entre vosotros

27 ( for the men of the land that were before you had done all these abominations, and the land became defiled);

(porque los hombres de esta tierra que fueron antes de vosotros han hecho todas estas abominaciones, y la tierra se ha contaminado),

28 t hat the land not vomit you out also, when you defile it, as it vomited out the nation that was before you.

29 “ ‘For whoever shall do any of these abominations, even the souls that do them shall be cut off from among their people.

“Porque todo el que haga cualquiera de estas abominaciones, aquellas personas que las hagan, serán cortadas de entre su pueblo.

30 T herefore you shall keep my requirements, that you do not practice any of these abominable customs, which were practiced before you, and that you do not defile yourselves with them. I am Yahweh your God.’”

“Por tanto, guardaréis mi ordenanza, no practicando ninguna de las costumbres abominables que se practicaron antes de vosotros, para que no os contaminéis con ellas; yo soy el Señor vuestro Dios.”
