1 H e showed me Joshua the high priest standing before Yahweh’s angel, and Satan standing at his right hand to be his adversary.

Entonces me mostró al sumo sacerdote Josué, que estaba delante del ángel del Señor; y Satanás estaba a su derecha para acusarlo.

2 Y ahweh said to Satan, “Yahweh rebuke you, Satan! Yes, Yahweh who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Isn’t this a burning stick plucked out of the fire?”

Y el ángel del Señor dijo a Satanás: El Señor te reprenda, Satanás. Repréndate el Señor que ha escogido a Jerusalén. ¿No es éste un tizón arrebatado del fuego ?

3 N ow Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and was standing before the angel.

Y Josué estaba vestido de ropas sucias, en pie delante del ángel.

4 H e answered and spoke to those who stood before him, saying, “Take the filthy garments off of him.” To him he said, “Behold, I have caused your iniquity to pass from you, and I will clothe you with rich clothing.”

Y éste habló, y dijo a los que estaban delante de él: Quitadle las ropas sucias. Y a él le dijo: Mira, he quitado de ti tu iniquidad y te vestiré de ropas de gala.

5 I said, “Let them set a clean turban on his head.” So they set a clean turban on his head, and clothed him; and Yahweh’s angel was standing by.

Después dijo: Que le pongan un turbante limpio en la cabeza. Y le pusieron un turbante limpio en la cabeza y le vistieron con ropas de gala; y el ángel del Señor estaba allí.

6 Y ahweh’s angel protested to Joshua, saying,

Entonces el ángel del Señor amonestó a Josué, diciendo:

7 “ Yahweh of Armies says: ‘If you will walk in my ways, and if you will follow my instructions, then you also shall judge my house, and shall also keep my courts, and I will give you a place of access among these who stand by.

Así dice el Señor de los ejércitos: “Si andas en mis caminos, y si guardas mis ordenanzas, también tú gobernarás mi casa; además tendrás a tu cargo mis atrios y te daré libre acceso entre éstos que están aquí.

8 H ear now, Joshua the high priest, you and your fellows who sit before you; for they are men who are a sign: for, behold, I will bring out my servant, the Branch.

“Escucha ahora, Josué, sumo sacerdote, tú y tus compañeros que se sientan ante ti, que son hombres de presagio, pues he aquí, yo voy a traer a mi siervo, el Renuevo.

9 F or, behold, the stone that I have set before Joshua; on one stone are seven eyes: behold, I will engrave its engraving,’ says Yahweh of Armies, ‘and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.

“Porque he aquí la piedra que he puesto delante de Josué, sobre esta única piedra hay siete ojos. He aquí, yo grabaré una inscripción en ella” —declara el Señor de los ejércitos— “y quitaré la iniquidad de esta tierra en un solo día.

10 I n that day,’ says Yahweh of Armies, ‘you will invite every man his neighbor under the vine and under the fig tree.’”

“Aquel día” —declara el Señor de los ejércitos— “convidaréis cada uno a su prójimo bajo su parra y bajo su higuera.”
