1 H ear my voice, God, in my complaint. Preserve my life from fear of the enemy.

Escucha mi voz, oh Dios, en mi queja; guarda mi vida del terror del enemigo.

2 H ide me from the conspiracy of the wicked, from the noisy crowd of the ones doing evil;

Escóndeme de los planes secretos de los malhechores, del asalto de los obradores de iniquidad,

3 w ho sharpen their tongue like a sword, and aim their arrows, deadly words,

que afilan su lengua como espada, y lanzan palabras amargas como saeta,

4 t o shoot innocent men from ambushes. They shoot at him suddenly and fearlessly.

para herir en oculto al íntegro; lo hieren repentinamente, y no temen.

5 T hey encourage themselves in evil plans. They talk about laying snares secretly. They say, “Who will see them?”

Se aferran en propósitos malignos; hablan de tender trampas en secreto, y dicen: ¿Quién las verá ?

6 T hey plot injustice, saying, “We have made a perfect plan!” Surely man’s mind and heart are cunning.

Traman injusticias, diciendo: Estamos listos con una trama bien concebida; pues los pensamientos del hombre y su corazón son profundos.

7 B ut God will shoot at them. They will be suddenly struck down with an arrow.

Pero Dios les disparará con saeta; repentinamente serán heridos.

8 T heir own tongues shall ruin them. All who see them will shake their heads.

Vuelven su lengua tropezadero contra sí mismos; todos los que los vean menearán la cabeza.

9 A ll mankind shall be afraid. They shall declare the work of God, and shall wisely ponder what he has done.

Entonces todos los hombres temerán, y declararán la obra de Dios, y considerarán sus hechos.

10 T he righteous shall be glad in Yahweh, and shall take refuge in him. All the upright in heart shall praise him!

El justo se alegrará en el Señor, y en El se refugiará; y todos los rectos de corazón se gloriarán.
