1 L os cielos proclaman la gloria de Dios, y la expansión anuncia la obra de sus manos.

The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament showeth his handiwork.

2 U n día transmite el mensaje al otro día, y una noche a la otra noche revela sabiduría.

Day unto day uttereth speech, And night unto night showeth knowledge.

3 N o hay mensaje, no hay palabras; no se oye su voz.

There is no speech nor language; Their voice is not heard.

4 M as por toda la tierra salió su voz, y hasta los confines del mundo sus palabras. En ellos puso una tienda para el sol,

Their line is gone out through all the earth, And their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,

5 y éste, como un esposo que sale de su alcoba, se regocija cual hombre fuerte al correr su carrera.

Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, And rejoiceth as a strong man to run his course.

6 D e un extremo de los cielos es su salida, y su curso hasta el otro extremo de ellos; y nada hay que se esconda de su calor.

His going forth is from the end of the heavens, And his circuit unto the ends of it; And there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.

7 L a ley del Señor es perfecta, que restaura el alma; el testimonio del Señor es seguro, que hace sabio al sencillo.

The law of Jehovah is perfect, restoring the soul: The testimony of Jehovah is sure, making wise the simple.

8 L os preceptos del Señor son rectos, que alegran el corazón; el mandamiento del Señor es puro, que alumbra los ojos.

The precepts of Jehovah are right, rejoicing the heart: The commandment of Jehovah is pure, enlightening the eyes.

9 E l temor del Señor es limpio, que permanece para siempre; los juicios del Señor son verdaderos, todos ellos justos;

The fear of Jehovah is clean, enduring for ever: The ordinances of Jehovah are true, and righteous altogether.

10 d eseables más que el oro; sí, más que mucho oro fino, más dulces que la miel y que el destilar del panal.

More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold; Sweeter also than honey and the droppings of the honeycomb.

11 A demás, tu siervo es amonestado por ellos; en guardarlos hay gran recompensa.

Moreover by them is thy servant warned: In keeping them there is great reward.

12 ¿ Quién puede discernir sus propios errores ? Absuélveme de los que me son ocultos.

Who can discern his errors? Clear thou me from hidden faults.

13 G uarda también a tu siervo de pecados de soberbia; que no se enseñoreen de mí. Entonces seré íntegro, y seré absuelto de gran transgresión.

Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; Let them not have dominion over me: Then shall I be upright, And I shall be clear from great transgression.

14 S ean gratas las palabras de mi boca y la meditación de mi corazón delante de ti, oh Señor, roca mía y redentor mío.

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in thy sight, O Jehovah, my rock, and my redeemer.
