1 L os jefes del pueblo habitaron en Jerusalén, pero el resto del pueblo echó suertes a fin de traer uno de cada diez para que habitara en Jerusalén, la ciudad santa, mientras los otros nueve se quedarían en las otras ciudades.

And the princes of the people dwelt in Jerusalem: the rest of the people also cast lots, to bring one of ten to dwell in Jerusalem the holy city, and nine parts in the other cities.

2 Y bendijo el pueblo a todos los hombres que se ofrecieron para habitar en Jerusalén.

And the people blessed all the men that willingly offered themselves to dwell in Jerusalem.

3 E stos son los jefes de la provincia que habitaron en Jerusalén (en las ciudades de Judá cada cual habitó en su propiedad, en sus ciudades; los israelitas, los sacerdotes, los levitas, los sirvientes del templo, los descendientes de los siervos de Salomón,

Now these are the chiefs of the province that dwelt in Jerusalem: but in the cities of Judah dwelt every one in his possession in their cities, to wit, Israel, the priests, and the Levites, and the Nethinim, and the children of Solomon's servants.

And in Jerusalem dwelt certain of the children of Judah, and of the children of Benjamin. Of the children of Judah: Athaiah the son of Uzziah, the son of Zechariah, the son of Amariah, the son of Shephatiah, the son of Mahalalel, of the children of Perez;

5 y Maasías, hijo de Baruc, hijo de Col-hoze, hijo de Hazaías, hijo de Adaías, hijo de Joiarib, hijo de Zacarías, hijo de Siloni.

and Maaseiah the son of Baruch, the son of Colhozeh, the son of Hazaiah, the son of Adaiah, the son of Joiarib, the son of Zechariah, the son of the Shilonite.

6 T odos los hijos de Fares que habitaron en Jerusalén fueron cuatrocientos sesenta y ocho hombres fuertes.

All the sons of Perez that dwelt in Jerusalem were four hundred threescore and eight valiant men.

7 Y estos son los hijos de Benjamín: Salú, hijo de Mesulam, hijo de Joed, hijo de Pedaías, hijo de Colaías, hijo de Maasías, hijo de Itiel, hijo de Jesaías;

And these are the sons of Benjamin: Sallu the son of Meshullam, the son of Joed, the son of Pedaiah, the son of Kolaiah, the son of Maaseiah, the son of Ithiel, the son of Jeshaiah.

And after him Gabbai, Sallai, nine hundred twenty and eight.

9 Y Joel, hijo de Zicri, era su superintendente, y Judá, hijo de Senúa, era segundo en el mando de la ciudad.

and their brethren that did the work of the house, eight hundred twenty and two; and Adaiah the son of Jeroham, the son of Pelaliah, the son of Amzi, the son of Zechariah, the son of Pashhur, the son of Malchijah,

13 y sus parientes, jefes de casas paternas, doscientos cuarenta y dos; y Amasai, hijo de Azareel, hijo de Azai, hijo de Mesilemot, hijo de Imer,

and his brethren, chiefs of fathers' houses, two hundred forty and two; and Amashsai the son of Azarel, the son of Ahzai, the son of Meshillemoth, the son of Immer,

14 y sus parientes, guerreros valientes, ciento veintiocho. Y su superintendente era Zabdiel, hijo de Gedolim.

and their brethren, mighty men of valor, a hundred twenty and eight; and their overseer was Zabdiel, the son of Haggedolim.

15 D e los levitas: Semaías, hijo de Hasub, hijo de Azricam, hijo de Hasabías, hijo de Buni;

And of the Levites: Shemaiah the son of Hasshub, the son of Azrikam, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Bunni;

16 y Sabetai y Jozabad, de los jefes de los levitas, encargados de la obra fuera de la casa de Dios;

and Shabbethai and Jozabad, of the chiefs of the Levites, who had the oversight of the outward business of the house of God;

17 y Matanías, hijo de Micaía, hijo de Zabdi, hijo de Asaf, que era jefe para comenzar la acción de gracias en la oración, y Bacbuquías, el segundo entre sus hermanos; y Abda, hijo de Samúa, hijo de Galal, hijo de Jedutún.

and Mattaniah the son of Mica, the son of Zabdi, the son of Asaph, who was the chief to begin the thanksgiving in prayer, and Bakbukiah, the second among his brethren; and Abda the son of Shammua, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun.

18 E l total de los levitas en la ciudad santa era de doscientos ochenta y cuatro.

All the Levites in the holy city were two hundred fourscore and four.

19 Y los porteros, Acub, Talmón y sus parientes, que guardaban las puertas, eran ciento setenta y dos.

Moreover the porters, Akkub, Talmon, and their brethren, that kept watch at the gates, were a hundred seventy and two.

20 E l resto de Israel, de los sacerdotes y de los levitas estaban en todas las ciudades de Judá, cada uno en su heredad.

And the residue of Israel, of the priests, the Levites, were in all the cities of Judah, every one in his inheritance.

21 P ero los sirvientes del templo habitaban en Ofel; y Ziha y Gispa estaban encargados de los sirvientes del templo.

But the Nethinim dwelt in Ophel: and Ziha and Gishpa were over the Nethinim.

22 E l superintendente de los levitas en Jerusalén era Uzi, hijo de Bani, hijo de Hasabías, hijo de Matanías, hijo de Micaía, de los hijos de Asaf, cantores para el servicio de la casa de Dios;

The overseer also of the Levites at Jerusalem was Uzzi the son of Bani, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Mica, of the sons of Asaph, the singers, over the business of the house of God.

23 p orque había un mandato del rey acerca de ellos y un reglamento fijo para los cantores de cada día.

For there was a commandment from the king concerning them, and a settled provision for the singers, as every day required.

24 Y Petaías, hijo de Mesezabeel, de los hijos de Zera, hijo de Judá, era representante del rey en todos los asuntos del pueblo.

And Pethahiah the son of Meshezabel, of the children of Zerah the son of Judah, was at the king's hand in all matters concerning the people.

25 E n cuanto a las aldeas con sus campos, algunos de los hijos de Judá habitaron en Quiriat-arba y sus ciudades, en Dibón y sus ciudades, en Jecabseel y sus aldeas,

And as for the villages, with their fields, some of the children of Judah dwelt in Kiriath-arba and the towns thereof, and in Dibon and the towns thereof, and in Jekabzeel and the villages thereof,

and in Jeshua, and in Moladah, and Beth-pelet,

30 Z anoa, Adulam y sus aldeas, Laquis y sus campos, Azeca y sus ciudades. Y ellos acamparon desde Beerseba hasta el valle de Hinom.

Zanoah, Adullam, and their villages, Lachish and the fields thereof, Azekah and the towns thereof. So they encamped from Beer-sheba unto the valley of Hinnom.

31 L os hijos de Benjamín habitaron también desde Geba, en Micmas y Aía, en Betel y sus ciudades,

The children of Benjamin also dwelt from Geba onward, at Michmash and Aija, and at Beth-el and the towns thereof,

32 e n Anatot, Nob, Ananías,

at Anathoth, Nob, Ananiah,

33 H azor, Ramá, Gitaim,

Hazor, Ramah, Gittaim,

34 H adid, Seboim, Nebalat,

Hadid, Zeboim, Neballat,

35 L od y Ono, el valle de los artífices.

Lod, and Ono, the valley of craftsmen.

36 Y de los levitas, algunos grupos de Judá habitaban en Benjamín.

And of the Levites, certain courses in Judah were joined to Benjamin.
