1 H abló el Señor a Moisés, diciendo:

Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

2 D i a Aarón y a sus hijos que tengan cuidado con las cosas sagradas que los hijos de Israel me consagran, para que no profanen mi santo nombre; yo soy el Señor.

“Tell Aaron and his sons to separate themselves from the holy things of the children of Israel, which they make holy to me, and that they not profane my holy name. I am Yahweh.

3 D iles: “Si alguno de entre vuestros descendientes en todas vuestras generaciones, se acerca a las cosas sagradas que los hijos de Israel consagran al Señor, estando inmundo, esa persona será cortada de mi presencia. Yo soy el Señor.

“Tell them, ‘If anyone of all your offspring throughout your generations approaches the holy things, which the children of Israel make holy to Yahweh, having his uncleanness on him, that soul shall be cut off from before me. I am Yahweh.

4 “ Ningún varón de los descendientes de Aarón que sea leproso, o que tenga flujo, podrá comer de las cosas sagradas hasta que sea limpio. Y si alguno toca alguna cosa contaminada por un cadáver, o si un hombre tiene una emisión seminal,

“‘Whoever of the offspring of Aaron is a leper or has an issue; he shall not eat of the holy things, until he is clean. Whoever touches anything that is unclean by the dead, or a man whose offspring goes from him;

5 s i alguno toca ciertos animales por los cuales se pueda contaminar, o a cualquier hombre que lo contamine, cualquiera que sea su inmundicia,

or whoever touches any creeping thing, whereby he may be made unclean, or a man of whom he may take uncleanness, whatever uncleanness he has;

6 l a persona que toque a cualquiera de éstos quedará inmunda hasta el atardecer; no comerá de las cosas sagradas a menos que haya lavado su cuerpo con agua.

the person that touches any such shall be unclean until the evening, and shall not eat of the holy things, unless he bathe his body in water.

7 “ Cuando el sol se ponga quedará limpio, y después comerá de las cosas sagradas, porque son su alimento.

When the sun is down, he shall be clean; and afterward he shall eat of the holy things, because it is his bread.

8 “ No comerá animal que muera o sea despedazado por fieras, contaminándose por ello; yo soy el Señor.

That which dies of itself, or is torn by animals, he shall not eat, defiling himself by it. I am Yahweh.

9 “ Guardarán, pues, mi ordenanza para que no se carguen de pecado por ello, y mueran porque la profanen; yo soy el Señor que los santifico.

“‘They shall therefore follow my requirements, lest they bear sin for it, and die therein, if they profane it. I am Yahweh who sanctifies them.

10 “ Ningún extraño comerá cosa sagrada; ni huésped del sacerdote, ni jornalero comerán cosa sagrada.

“‘No stranger shall eat of the holy thing: a foreigner living with the priests, or a hired servant, shall not eat of the holy thing.

11 “ Pero si un sacerdote compra con su dinero un esclavo como propiedad suya, éste sí puede comer de ella, y también los nacidos en su casa podrán comer de su alimento.

But if a priest buys a slave, purchased by his money, he shall eat of it; and such as are born in his house, they shall eat of his bread.

12 “ Y si la hija del sacerdote se casa con un extraño, ella no comerá de la ofrenda de las cosas sagradas.

If a priest’s daughter is married to an outsider, she shall not eat of the heave offering of the holy things.

13 “ Pero si la hija del sacerdote queda viuda o se divorcia, y no tiene hijo y regresa a la casa de su padre como en su juventud, podrá comer del alimento de su padre; pero ningún extraño comerá de él.

But if a priest’s daughter is a widow, or divorced, and has no child, and has returned to her father’s house, as in her youth, she may eat of her father’s bread: but no stranger shall eat any of it.

14 “ Y si un hombre come inadvertidamente cosa sagrada, entonces añadirá a ella una quinta parte y restituirá la cosa sagrada al sacerdote.

“‘If a man eats something holy unwittingly, then he shall add the fifth part of its value to it, and shall give the holy thing to the priest.

15 “ Los sacerdotes no profanarán las cosas sagradas que los hijos de Israel ofrecen al Señor,

The priests shall not profane the holy things of the children of Israel, which they offer to Yahweh,

16 c ausándoles así sufrir castigo por la culpa al comer sus cosas sagradas; porque yo soy el Señor que los santifico.” Animales para el sacrificio

and so cause them to bear the iniquity that brings guilt, when they eat their holy things; for I am Yahweh who sanctifies them.’”

17 Y el Señor habló a Moisés, diciendo:

Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

18 H abla a Aarón y a sus hijos y a todos los hijos de Israel, y diles: “Cualquier hombre de la casa de Israel o de los forasteros en Israel, que presente su ofrenda, ya sea de sus ofrendas votivas o de sus ofrendas voluntarias, las cuales presenta al Señor como holocausto,

“Speak to Aaron, and to his sons, and to all the children of Israel, and say to them, ‘Whoever is of the house of Israel, or of the foreigners in Israel, who offers his offering, whether it is any of their vows, or any of their freewill offerings, which they offer to Yahweh for a burnt offering;

19 p ara que os sea aceptada, ésta debe ser macho sin defecto del ganado, de los corderos o de las cabras.

that you may be accepted, you shall offer a male without defect, of the bulls, of the sheep, or of the goats.

20 “ Lo que tenga defecto, no ofreceréis, porque no os será aceptado.

But whatever has a defect, that you shall not offer; for it shall not be acceptable for you.

21 “ Cuando alguno ofrezca sacrificio de ofrenda de paz al Señor para cumplir un voto especial o como ofrenda voluntaria, del ganado o del rebaño, tiene que ser sin defecto para ser aceptado; no habrá imperfección en él.

Whoever offers a sacrifice of peace offerings to Yahweh to accomplish a vow, or for a freewill offering, of the herd or of the flock, it shall be perfect to be accepted. It shall have no defect.

22 “ Los que estén ciegos, quebrados, mutilados, o con llagas purulentas, sarna o roña, no los ofreceréis al Señor, ni haréis de ellos una ofrenda encendida sobre el altar al Señor.

Blind, injured, maimed, having a wart, festering, or having a running sore: you shall not offer these to Yahweh, nor make an offering by fire of them on the altar to Yahweh.

23 “ En cuanto al buey o carnero que tenga un miembro deformado o atrofiado, podréis presentarlo como ofrenda voluntaria, pero por voto no será aceptado.

Either a bull or a lamb that has any deformity or lacking in his parts, that you may offer for a freewill offering; but for a vow it shall not be accepted.

24 “ También cualquier animal con sus testículos magullados, aplastados, rasgados o cortados, no lo ofreceréis al Señor ni lo sacrificaréis en vuestra tierra;

You must not offer to Yahweh that which has its testicles bruised, crushed, broken, or cut. You must not do this in your land.

25 t ampoco aceptaréis tales animales de mano de un extranjero por ofrenda como alimento para vuestro Dios; porque su corrupción está en ellos, tienen defecto y no os serán aceptados.”

You must not offer the bread of your God from the hand of a foreigner as any of these; because their corruption is in them. There is a defect in them. They shall not be accepted for you.’”

26 Y habló el Señor a Moisés, diciendo:

Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

27 C uando nazca un ternero, un cordero o un cabrito, quedará siete días con su madre, y desde el octavo día en adelante será aceptable como sacrificio de ofrenda encendida al Señor.

“When a bull, or a sheep, or a goat, is born, then it shall remain seven days with its mother; and from the eighth day and thenceforth it shall be accepted for the offering of an offering made by fire to Yahweh.

28 M as, ya sea vaca u oveja, no mataréis a ella y a su cría en el mismo día.

Whether it is a cow or ewe, you shall not kill it and its young both in one day.

29 Y cuando ofrezcáis sacrificio de acción de gracias al Señor, lo sacrificaréis para que seáis aceptados.

“When you sacrifice a sacrifice of thanksgiving to Yahweh, you shall sacrifice it so that you may be accepted.

30 L o comeréis en el mismo día, no dejaréis nada de él para la mañana siguiente; yo soy el Señor.

It shall be eaten on the same day; you shall leave none of it until the morning. I am Yahweh.

31 A sí, pues, guardaréis mis mandamientos y los cumpliréis; yo soy el Señor.

“Therefore you shall keep my commandments, and do them. I am Yahweh.

32 N o profanaréis mi santo nombre, sino que seré santificado entre los hijos de Israel; yo soy el Señor que os santifico,

You shall not profane my holy name, but I will be made holy among the children of Israel. I am Yahweh who makes you holy,

33 q ue os saqué de la tierra de Egipto para ser vuestro Dios; yo soy el Señor.

who brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God. I am Yahweh.”
