1 T hen there come to Jesus from Jerusalem Pharisees and scribes, saying,

Entonces se acercaron a Jesús algunos escribas y fariseos de Jerusalén, diciendo:

2 W hy do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread.

¿Por qué tus discípulos quebrantan la tradición de los ancianos? Pues no se lavan las manos cuando comen pan.

3 A nd he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God because of your tradition?

Y respondiendo El, les dijo: ¿Por qué también vosotros quebrantáis el mandamiento de Dios a causa de vuestra tradición?

4 F or God said, Honor thy father and thy mother: and, He that speaketh evil of father or mother, let him die the death.

Porque Dios dijo: “ Honra a tu padre y a tu madre,” y: “ Quien hable mal de su padre o de su madre, que muera.”

5 B ut ye say, whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, That wherewith thou mightest have been profited by me is given to God;

Pero vosotros decís: “Cualquiera que diga a su padre o a su madre: ‘Es ofrenda a Dios todo lo mío con que pudieras ser ayudado’,

6 h e shall not honor his father. And ye have made void the word of God because of your tradition.

no necesitará más honrar a su padre o a su madre.” Y así invalidasteis la palabra de Dios por causa de vuestra tradición.

7 Y e hypocrites, well did Isaiah prophesy of you, saying,

¡Hipócritas! Bien profetizó Isaías de vosotros cuando dijo:

8 T his people honoreth me with their lips; But their heart is far from me.

“ Este pueblo con los labios me honra, pero su corazon esta muy lejos de mi.

9 B ut in vain do they worship me, Teaching as their doctrines the precepts of men.

“ Mas en vano me rinden culto, enseñando como doctrinas preceptos de hombres.” Lo que contamina al hombre

10 A nd he called to him the multitude, and said unto them, Hear, and understand:

Y llamando junto a sí a la multitud, les dijo: Oíd y entended:

11 N ot that which entereth into the mouth defileth the man; but that which proceedeth out of the mouth, this defileth the man.

no es lo que entra en la boca lo que contamina al hombre; sino lo que sale de la boca, eso es lo que contamina al hombre.

12 T hen came the disciples, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended, when they heard this saying?

Entonces, acercándose los discípulos, le dijeron: ¿Sabes que los fariseos se escandalizaron cuando oyeron tus palabras ?

13 B ut he answered and said, Every plant which my heavenly Father planted not, shall be rooted up.

Pero El contestó y dijo: Toda planta que mi Padre celestial no haya plantado, será desarraigada.

14 L et them alone: they are blind guides. And if the blind guide the blind, both shall fall into a pit.

Dejadlos; son ciegos guías de ciegos. Y si un ciego guía a otro ciego, ambos caerán en el hoyo.

15 A nd Peter answered and said unto him, Declare unto us the parable.

Respondiendo Pedro, le dijo: Explícanos la parábola.

16 A nd he said, Are ye also even yet without understanding?

Y El dijo: ¿También vosotros estáis aún faltos de entendimiento?

17 P erceive ye not, that whatsoever goeth into the mouth passeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught?

¿No entendéis que todo lo que entra en la boca va al estómago y luego se elimina ?

18 B ut the things which proceed out of the mouth come forth out of the heart; and they defile the man.

Pero lo que sale de la boca proviene del corazón, y eso es lo que contamina al hombre.

19 F or out of the heart come forth evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, railings:

Porque del corazón provienen malos pensamientos, homicidios, adulterios, fornicaciones, robos, falsos testimonios y calumnias.

20 t hese are the things which defile the man; but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not the man.

Estas cosas son las que contaminan al hombre; pero comer sin lavarse las manos no contamina al hombre. Jesús sana a la hija de una cananea

21 A nd Jesus went out thence, and withdrew into the parts of Tyre and Sidon.

Saliendo Jesús de allí, se retiró a la región de Tiro y de Sidón.

22 A nd behold, a Canaanitish woman came out from those borders, and cried, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a demon.

Y he aquí, una mujer cananea que había salido de aquella comarca, comenzó a gritar, diciendo: Señor, Hijo de David, ten misericordia de mí; mi hija está terriblemente endemoniada.

23 B ut he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.

Pero El no le respondió palabra. Y acercándose sus discípulos, le rogaban, diciendo: Atiéndela, pues viene gritando tras nosotros.

24 B ut he answered and said, I was not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

Y respondiendo El, dijo: No he sido enviado sino a las ovejas perdidas de la casa de Israel.

25 B ut she came and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.

Pero acercándose ella, se postró ante El, diciendo: ¡Señor, socórreme!

26 A nd he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread and cast it to the dogs.

Y El respondió y dijo: No está bien tomar el pan de los hijos, y echár selo a los perrillos.

27 B ut she said, Yea, Lord: for even the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.

Pero ella dijo: Sí, Señor; pero también los perrillos comen de las migajas que caen de la mesa de sus amos.

28 T hen Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it done unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was healed from that hour.

Entonces, respondiendo Jesús, le dijo: Oh mujer, grande es tu fe; que te suceda como deseas. Y su hija quedó sana desde aquel momento. Jesús sana a muchos junto al mar de Galilea

29 A nd Jesus departed thence, and came nigh unto the sea of Galilee; and he went up into the mountain, and sat there.

Y pasando Jesús de allí, vino junto al mar de Galilea, y subiendo al monte, se sentó allí.

30 A nd there came unto him great multitudes, having with them the lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and they cast them down at this feet; and he healed them:

Y vinieron a El grandes multitudes trayendo consigo cojos, lisiados, ciegos, mudos y muchos otros enfermos y los pusieron a sus pies y El los sanó;

31 i nsomuch that the multitude wondered, when they saw the dumb speaking, the maimed whole, and lame walking, and the blind seeing: and they glorified the God of Israel.

de modo que la muchedumbre se maravilló al ver que los mudos hablaban, los lisiados quedaban restaurados, los cojos caminaban y los ciegos veían; y glorificaron al Dios de Israel. Alimentación de los cuatro mil

32 A nd Jesus called unto him his disciples, and said, I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days and have nothing to eat: and I would not send them away fasting, lest haply they faint on the way.

Entonces Jesús, llamando junto a sí a sus discípulos, les dijo: Tengo compasión de la multitud, porque hace ya tres días que están conmigo y no tienen qué comer; y no quiero despedirlos sin comer, no sea que desfallezcan en el camino.

33 A nd the disciples say unto him, Whence should we have so many loaves in a desert place as to fill so great a multitude?

Y los discípulos le dijeron: ¿Dónde conseguiríamos nosotros en el desierto tantos panes para saciar a una multitud tan grande?

34 A nd Jesus said unto them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven, and a few small fishes.

Jesús entonces les dijo: ¿Cuántos panes tenéis? Y ellos respondieron: Siete, y unos pocos pececillos.

35 A nd he commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground;

Y El mandó a la multitud que se recostara en el suelo;

36 a nd he took the seven loaves and the fishes; and he gave thanks and brake, and gave to the disciples, and the disciples to the multitudes.

y tomó los siete panes y los peces; y después de dar gracias, los partió y empezó a dar los a los discípulos, y los discípulos a las multitudes.

37 A nd they all ate, and were filled: and they took up that which remained over of the broken pieces, seven baskets full.

Y comieron todos y se saciaron; y recogieron de lo que sobró de los pedazos, siete canastas llenas.

38 A nd they that did eat were four thousand men, besides women and children.

Los que comieron fueron cuatro mil hombres, sin contar las mujeres y los niños.

39 A nd he sent away the multitudes, and entered into the boat, and came into the borders of Magadan.

Y después de despedir a la muchedumbre, subió a la barca y fue a la región de Magadán.
