1 A nd Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,

Y el Señor habló a Moisés, diciendo:

2 S peak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a woman conceive seed, and bear a man-child, then she shall be unclean seven days; as in the days of the impurity of her sickness shall she be unclean.

Habla a los hijos de Israel y diles: “Cuando una mujer dé a luz y tenga varón, quedará impura por siete días; como en los días de su menstruación, será impura.

3 A nd in the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised.

“Al octavo día la carne del prepucio del niño será circuncidada.

4 A nd she shall continue in the blood of her purifying three and thirty days; she shall touch no hallowed thing, nor come into the sanctuary, until the days of her purifying be fulfilled.

“Y ella permanecerá en la sangre de su purificación por treinta y tres días; no tocará ninguna cosa consagrada ni entrará al santuario hasta que los días de su purificación sean cumplidos.

5 B ut if she bear a maid-child, then she shall be unclean two weeks, as in her impurity; and she shall continue in the blood of her purifying threescore and six days.

“Pero si da a luz una niña, quedará impura por dos semanas, como en los días de su menstruación; y permanecerá en la sangre de su purificación por sesenta y seis días.

6 A nd when the days of her purifying are fulfilled, for a son, or for a daughter, she shall bring a lamb a year old for a burnt-offering, and a young pigeon, or a turtle-dove, for a sin-offering, unto the door of the tent of meeting, unto the priest:

“Cuando se cumplan los días de su purificación por un hijo o por una hija, traerá al sacerdote, a la entrada de la tienda de reunión, un cordero de un año como holocausto, y un pichón o una tórtola como ofrenda por el pecado.

7 a nd he shall offer it before Jehovah, and make atonement for her; and she shall be cleansed from the fountain of her blood. This is the law for her that beareth, whether a male or a female.

“Entonces él los ofrecerá delante del Señor y hará expiación por ella, y quedará limpia del flujo de su sangre. Esta es la ley para la que da a luz, sea hijo o hija.

8 A nd if her means suffice not for a lamb, then she shall take two turtle-doves, or two young pigeons; the one for a burnt-offering, and the other for a sin-offering: and the priest shall make atonement for her, and she shall be clean.

“Pero si no le alcanzan los recursos para ofrecer un cordero, entonces tomará dos tórtolas o dos pichones, uno para el holocausto y el otro para la ofrenda por el pecado; y el sacerdote hará expiación por ella, y quedará limpia.”
