1 P aul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, set apart for the Good News of God,

Pablo, siervo de Cristo Jesús (el Mesías Redentor), llamado a ser apóstol, apartado para el evangelio (las buenas nuevas) de Dios,

2 w hich he promised before through his prophets in the holy Scriptures,

que El ya había prometido por medio de Sus profetas en las Sagradas Escrituras.

3 c oncerning his Son, who was born of the offspring of David according to the flesh,

Es el mensaje acerca de Su Hijo, que nació de la descendencia de David según la carne,

4 w ho was declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord,

y que fue declarado Hijo de Dios con un acto de poder, conforme al Espíritu de santidad, por (como resultado de) la resurrección de entre los muertos: nuestro Señor Jesucristo.

5 t hrough whom we received grace and apostleship, for obedience of faith among all the nations, for his name’s sake;

Es por medio de El que hemos recibido la gracia y el apostolado para promover la obediencia a la fe entre todos los Gentiles, por amor a Su nombre;

6 a mong whom you are also called to belong to Jesus Christ;

entre los cuales están también ustedes, llamados de Jesucristo.

7 t o all who are in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

A todos los amados de Dios que están en Roma, llamados a ser santos: Gracia y paz a ustedes de parte de Dios nuestro Padre y del Señor Jesucristo. Deseos de Pablo de Visitar a Roma

8 F irst, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, that your faith is proclaimed throughout the whole world.

En primer lugar, doy gracias a mi Dios por medio de Jesucristo por todos ustedes, porque por todo el mundo (se da a conocer) se habla de su fe.

9 F or God is my witness, whom I serve in my spirit in the Good News of his Son, how unceasingly I make mention of you always in my prayers,

Pues Dios, a quien sirvo en mi espíritu en la predicación del evangelio de Su Hijo, me es testigo de cómo sin cesar hago mención de ustedes

10 r equesting, if by any means now at last I may be prospered by the will of God to come to you.

siempre en mis oraciones, implorando que ahora, al fin, por la voluntad de Dios, logre ir a ustedes.

11 F or I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, to the end that you may be established;

Porque anhelo verlos para impartirles algún don espiritual, a fin de que sean confirmados;

12 t hat is, that I with you may be encouraged in you, each of us by the other’s faith, both yours and mine.

es decir, para que cuando esté entre ustedes nos confortemos mutuamente, cada uno por la fe del otro, tanto la de ustedes como la mía.

13 N ow I don’t desire to have you unaware, brothers, that I often planned to come to you, and was hindered so far, that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among the rest of the Gentiles.

Y no quiero que ignoren, hermanos, que con frecuencia he hecho planes para ir a visitarlos, pero hasta ahora me he visto impedido, a fin de obtener algún fruto también entre ustedes, así como entre los demás Gentiles.

14 I am debtor both to Greeks and to foreigners, both to the wise and to the foolish.

Tengo obligación (Soy deudor) tanto para con los Griegos como para con los bárbaros (los que no son Griegos por nacimiento, ni por cultura), para con los sabios como para con los ignorantes.

15 S o, as much as is in me, I am eager to preach the Good News to you also who are in Rome.

Así que, por mi parte, ansioso estoy de anunciar el evangelio (las buenas nuevas) también a ustedes que están en Roma. Una Definición del Evangelio

16 F or I am not ashamed of the Good News of Christ, for it is the power of God for salvation for everyone who believes; for the Jew first, and also for the Greek.

Porque no me avergüenzo del evangelio, pues es el poder de Dios para la salvación de todo el que cree, del Judío primeramente y también del Griego.

17 F or in it is revealed God’s righteousness from faith to faith. As it is written, “But the righteous shall live by faith.”

Porque en el evangelio la justicia de Dios se revela por fe y para fe, como está escrito: Mas el justo por la fe vivira. El Hombre ha Ignorado a Dios

18 F or the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,

Porque la ira de Dios se revela desde el cielo contra toda impiedad e injusticia de los hombres, que con injusticia restringen la verdad.

19 b ecause that which is known of God is revealed in them, for God revealed it to them.

Pero lo que se conoce acerca de Dios es evidente dentro de ellos, pues Dios se lo hizo evidente.

20 F or the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity; that they may be without excuse.

Porque desde la creación del mundo, Sus atributos invisibles, Su eterno poder y divinidad, se han visto con toda claridad, siendo entendidos por medio de lo creado, de manera que ellos no tienen excusa.

21 B ecause, knowing God, they didn’t glorify him as God, neither gave thanks, but became vain in their reasoning, and their senseless heart was darkened.

Pues aunque conocían a Dios, no Lo honraron (no Lo glorificaron) como a Dios ni Le dieron gracias, sino que se hicieron vanos en sus razonamientos y su necio corazón fue entenebrecido.

22 P rofessing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

Profesando ser sabios, se volvieron necios,

23 a nd traded the glory of the incorruptible God for the likeness of an image of corruptible man, and of birds, and four-footed animals, and creeping things.

y cambiaron la gloria del Dios incorruptible por una imagen en forma de hombre corruptible, de aves, de cuadrúpedos y de reptiles. La Consecuente Corrupción del Hombre

24 T herefore God also gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to uncleanness, that their bodies should be dishonored among themselves,

Por lo cual Dios los entregó a la impureza en la lujuria de sus corazones, de modo que deshonraron entre sí sus propios cuerpos.

25 w ho exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

Porque ellos cambiaron la verdad de Dios por la mentira, y adoraron y sirvieron a la criatura en lugar del Creador, quien es bendito por los siglos. Amén.

26 F or this reason, God gave them up to vile passions. For their women changed the natural function into that which is against nature.

Por esta razón Dios los entregó a pasiones degradantes; porque sus mujeres cambiaron la función natural por la que es contra la naturaleza.

27 L ikewise also the men, leaving the natural function of the woman, burned in their lust toward one another, men doing what is inappropriate with men, and receiving in themselves the due penalty of their error.

De la misma manera también los hombres, abandonando el uso natural de la mujer, se encendieron en su lujuria unos con otros, cometiendo hechos vergonzosos hombres con hombres, y recibiendo en sí mismos el castigo correspondiente a su extravío.

28 E ven as they refused to have God in their knowledge, God gave them up to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not fitting;

Y así como ellos no tuvieron a bien reconocer a Dios, Dios los entregó a una mente depravada, para que hicieran las cosas que no convienen.

29 b eing filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, malice; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil habits, secret slanderers,

Están llenos de toda injusticia, maldad (perversidad), avaricia y malicia, llenos de envidia, homicidios, pleitos, engaños, y malignidad. Son chismosos,

30 b ackbiters, hateful to God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

detractores (calumniadores), aborrecedores (enemigos) de Dios, insolentes, soberbios, jactanciosos (arrogantes), inventores de lo malo, desobedientes (rebeldes) a los padres,

31 w ithout understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, unforgiving, unmerciful;

sin entendimiento, indignos de confianza (desleales), sin amor, despiadados.

32 w ho, knowing the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but also approve of those who practice them.

Ellos, aunque conocen el decreto de Dios que los que practican tales cosas son dignos de muerte, no sólo las hacen, sino que también dan su aprobación a los que las practican.
