1 T he third day, there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee. Jesus’ mother was there.

Al tercer día se celebró una boda en Caná de Galilea, y estaba allí la madre de Jesús;

2 J esus also was invited, with his disciples, to the marriage.

y también Jesús fue invitado a la boda, con Sus discípulos.

3 W hen the wine ran out, Jesus’ mother said to him, “They have no wine.”

Cuando se acabó el vino, la madre de Jesús Le dijo: “No tienen vino.”

4 J esus said to her, “Woman, what does that have to do with you and me? My hour has not yet come.”

Y Jesús le dijo: “Mujer, ¿qué nos interesa esto a ti y a Mí ? Todavía no ha llegado Mi hora.”

5 H is mother said to the servants, “Whatever he says to you, do it.”

Su madre dijo a los que servían: “Hagan todo lo que El les diga.”

6 N ow there were six water pots of stone set there after the Jews’ way of purifying, containing two or three metretes apiece.

Y había allí seis tinajas de piedra, puestas para ser usadas en el rito de la purificación de los Judíos; en cada una cabían dos o tres cántaros (unos 100 litros).

7 J esus said to them, “Fill the water pots with water.” They filled them up to the brim.

Jesús les dijo: “Llenen de agua las tinajas.” Y las llenaron hasta el borde.

8 H e said to them, “Now draw some out, and take it to the ruler of the feast.” So they took it.

Entonces les dijo: “Saquen ahora un poco y llévenlo al mayordomo.” Y se lo llevaron.

9 W hen the ruler of the feast tasted the water now become wine, and didn’t know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the ruler of the feast called the bridegroom,

El mayordomo probó el agua convertida en vino, sin saber de dónde era, pero los que servían, que habían sacado el agua, lo sabían. Entonces el mayordomo llamó al novio,

10 a nd said to him, “Everyone serves the good wine first, and when the guests have drunk freely, then that which is worse. You have kept the good wine until now!”

y le dijo: “Todo hombre sirve primero el vino bueno, y cuando ya han tomado bastante, entonces el inferior; pero tú has guardado hasta ahora el vino bueno.”

11 T his beginning of his signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and revealed his glory; and his disciples believed in him.

Este principio de Sus señales (milagros) hizo Jesús en Caná de Galilea, y manifestó Su gloria, y Sus discípulos creyeron en El.

12 A fter this, he went down to Capernaum, he, and his mother, his brothers, and his disciples; and they stayed there a few days.

Después de esto Jesús bajó a Capernaúm con Su madre, Sus hermanos y Sus discípulos; pero no se quedaron allí muchos días. Jesús Echa a los Mercaderes del Templo

13 T he Passover of the Jews was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.

La Pascua de los Judíos estaba cerca, y Jesús subió a Jerusalén.

14 H e found in the temple those who sold oxen, sheep, and doves, and the changers of money sitting.

En el templo encontró a los que vendían bueyes, ovejas y palomas, y a los que cambiaban dinero allí sentados.

15 H e made a whip of cords, and threw all out of the temple, both the sheep and the oxen; and he poured out the changers’ money, and overthrew their tables.

Y haciendo un látigo de cuerdas, echó a todos fuera del templo, con las ovejas y los bueyes; desparramó las monedas de los que cambiaban el dinero y volcó las mesas.

16 T o those who sold the doves, he said, “Take these things out of here! Don’t make my Father’s house a marketplace!”

A los que vendían palomas les dijo: “Quiten esto de aquí; no hagan de la casa de Mi Padre una casa de comercio.”

17 H is disciples remembered that it was written, “Zeal for your house will eat me up.”

Sus discípulos se acordaron de que estaba escrito: “ El celo por Tu casa Me consumira.”

18 T he Jews therefore answered him, “What sign do you show us, seeing that you do these things?”

Entonces los Judíos Le dijeron: “Ya que haces estas cosas, ¿qué señal nos muestras?”

19 J esus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.”

Jesús les respondió: “Destruyan este templo, y en tres días lo levantaré.”

20 T he Jews therefore said, “It took forty-six years to build this temple! Will you raise it up in three days?”

Entonces los Judíos dijeron: “En cuarenta y seis años fue edificado este templo, ¿y Tú lo levantarás en tres días?”

21 B ut he spoke of the temple of his body.

Pero El hablaba del templo de Su cuerpo.

22 W hen therefore he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that he said this, and they believed the Scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.

Por eso, cuando resucitó de los muertos, Sus discípulos se acordaron de que había dicho esto; y creyeron en la Escritura y en la palabra que Jesús había hablado. Los Primeros Creyentes en Jerusalén

23 N ow when he was in Jerusalem at the Passover, during the feast, many believed in his name, observing his signs which he did.

Cuando Jesús estaba en Jerusalén durante la fiesta de la Pascua, muchos creyeron en Su nombre al ver las señales que hacía.

24 B ut Jesus didn’t trust himself to them, because he knew everyone,

Pero Jesús, en cambio, no se confiaba en ellos, porque los conocía a todos,

25 a nd because he didn’t need for anyone to testify concerning man; for he himself knew what was in man.

y no tenía necesidad de que nadie Le diera testimonio del hombre, porque El conocía lo que había en el interior del hombre.
