1 M any a time have they afflicted me from my youth up, Let Israel now say,

“Muchas veces me han perseguido desde mi juventud,” Que lo diga ahora Israel.

2 M any a time have they afflicted me from my youth up: Yet they have not prevailed against me.

“Muchas veces me han perseguido desde mi juventud, Pero no han prevalecido contra mí.

3 T he plowers plowed upon my back; They made long their furrows.

Sobre mis espaldas araron los aradores; Alargaron sus surcos.”

4 J ehovah is righteous: He hath cut asunder the cords of the wicked.

El Señor es justo; Ha cortado las ataduras de los impíos.

5 L et them be put to shame and turned backward, All they that hate Zion.

Sean avergonzados y vueltos atrás Todos los que odian a Sion.

6 L et them be as the grass upon the housetops, Which withereth before it groweth up;

Que sean como la hierba en los techos, Que se seca antes de crecer;

7 W herewith the reaper filleth not his hand, Nor he that bindeth sheaves his bosom.

Con la cual el segador no llena su mano, Ni el recogedor de gavillas sus brazos.

8 N either do they that go by say, The blessing of Jehovah be upon you; We bless you in the name of Jehovah.

Que no digan los que pasan: “La bendición del Señor sea sobre ustedes; Los bendecimos en el nombre del Señor.”
