1 A nd as he went forth out of the temple, one of his disciples saith unto him, Teacher, behold, what manner of stones and what manner of buildings!

Cuando Jesús salía del templo, uno de Sus discípulos Le dijo: “Maestro, ¡mira qué piedras y qué edificios!”

2 A nd Jesus said unto him, Seest thou these great buildings? there shall not be left here one stone upon another, which shall not be thrown down.

Y Jesús le dijo: “¿Ves estos grandes edificios? No quedará piedra sobre piedra que no sea derribada.” Señales antes del Fin

3 A nd as he sat on the mount of Olives over against the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately,

Y estando El sentado en el Monte de los Olivos, frente al templo, Pedro, Jacobo (Santiago), Juan y Andrés Le preguntaban en privado:

4 T ell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign when these things are all about to be accomplished?

“Dinos, ¿cuándo sucederá esto, y qué señal habrá cuando todas estas cosas se hayan de cumplir?”

5 A nd Jesus began to say unto them, Take heed that no man lead you astray.

Y Jesús comenzó a decirles: “Miren que nadie los engañe.

6 M any shall come in my name, saying, I am he; and shall lead many astray.

Muchos vendrán en Mi nombre diciendo: ‘Yo soy el Cristo,’ y engañarán a muchos.

7 A nd when ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars, be not troubled: these things must needs come to pass; but the end is not yet.

Cuando ustedes oigan de guerras y de rumores de guerras, no se alarmen; es necesario que todo esto suceda, pero todavía no es el fin.

8 F or nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; there shall be earthquakes in divers places; there shall be famines: these things are the beginning of travail.

Porque se levantará nación contra nación, y reino contra reino; y habrá terremotos en diversos lugares; y habrá hambres. Esto sólo es el comienzo de dolores.

9 B ut take ye heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in synagogues shall ye be beaten; and before governors and kings shall ye stand for my sake, for a testimony unto them.

“Pero ustedes, estén alerta; porque los entregarán a los tribunales y serán azotados en las sinagogas, y comparecerán delante de gobernadores y reyes por Mi causa, para testimonio a ellos.

10 A nd the gospel must first be preached unto all the nations.

Pero primero el evangelio debe ser predicado a todas las naciones.

11 A nd when they lead you to judgment, and deliver you up, be not anxious beforehand what ye shall speak: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye; for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Spirit.

Cuando los lleven y los entreguen, no se preocupen de antemano por lo que van a decir, sino que lo que les sea dado en aquella hora, eso hablen; porque no son ustedes los que hablan, sino el Espíritu Santo.

12 A nd brother shall deliver up brother to death, and the father his child; and children shall rise up against parents, and cause them to be put to death.

El hermano entregará a la muerte al hermano, y el padre al hijo; y los hijos se levantarán contra los padres, y les causarán la muerte.

13 A nd ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end, the same shall be saved.

Y ustedes serán odiados de todos por causa de Mi nombre, pero el que persevere hasta el fin, ése será salvo. La Abominación de la Desolación

14 B ut when ye see the abomination of desolation standing where he ought not (let him that readeth understand), then let them that are in Judaea flee unto the mountains:

“Pero cuando vean la abominacion de la desolacion puesta donde no debe estar (el que lea, que entienda), entonces los que estén en Judea huyan a los montes;

15 a nd let him that is on the housetop not go down, nor enter in, to take anything out his house:

y el que esté en la azotea, no baje ni entre a sacar nada de su casa;

16 a nd let him that is in the field not return back to take his cloak.

y el que esté en el campo, no vuelva a tomar su capa.

17 B ut woe unto them that are with child and to them that give suck in those days!

Pero, ¡ay de las que estén encinta y de las que estén criando en aquellos días!

18 A nd pray ye that it be not in the winter.

Oren para que esto no suceda en el invierno.

19 F or those days shall be tribulation, such as there hath not been the like from the beginning of the creation which God created until now, and never shall be.

Porque aquellos días serán de tribulación, tal como no ha acontecido desde el principio de la creación que hizo Dios hasta ahora, ni acontecerá jamás.

20 A nd except the Lord had shortened the days, no flesh would have been saved; but for the elect's sake, whom he chose, he shortened the days.

Si el Señor no hubiera acortado aquellos días, nadie se salvaría; pero por causa de los escogidos que El eligió, acortó los días.

21 A nd then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is the Christ; or, Lo, there; believe it not:

Entonces, si alguien les dice: ‘Miren, aquí está el Cristo (el Mesías),’ o: ‘Miren, allí está,’ no lo crean.

22 f or there shall arise false Christs and false prophets, and shall show signs and wonders, that they may lead astray, if possible, the elect.

Porque se levantarán falsos Cristos y falsos profetas, y mostrarán señales y prodigios a fin de extraviar, de ser posible, a los escogidos.

23 B ut take ye heed: behold, I have told you all things beforehand.

Pero ustedes, estén alerta; vean que se lo he dicho todo de antemano. La Venida del Hijo del Hombre

24 B ut in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,

“Pero en aquellos días, después de esa tribulación, el sol se oscurecera y la luna no dara su luz,

25 a nd the stars shall be falling from heaven, and the powers that are in the heavens shall be shaken.

las estrellas iran cayendo del cielo y las potencias que están en los cielos serán sacudidas.

26 A nd then shall they see the Son of man coming in clouds with great power and glory.

Entonces verán al Hijo del Hombre que viene en las nubes con gran poder y gloria.

27 A nd then shall he send forth the angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.

Y entonces El enviará a los ángeles, y reunirá a Sus escogidos de los cuatro vientos, desde el extremo de la tierra hasta el extremo del cielo. Parábola de la Higuera

28 N ow from the fig tree learn her parable: when her branch is now become tender, and putteth forth its leaves, ye know that the summer is nigh;

“De la higuera aprendan la parábola: cuando su rama ya se pone tierna y echa las hojas, saben que el verano está cerca.

29 e ven so ye also, when ye see these things coming to pass, know ye that he is nigh, even at the doors.

Así también ustedes, cuando vean que suceden estas cosas, sepan que El está cerca, a las puertas.

30 V erily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, until all these things be accomplished.

En verdad les digo que no pasará esta generación hasta que todo esto suceda.

31 H eaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

El cielo y la tierra pasarán, pero Mis palabras no pasarán.

32 B ut of that day or that hour knoweth no one, not even the angels in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.

Pero de aquel día o de aquella hora nadie sabe, ni siquiera los ángeles en el cielo, ni el Hijo, sino sólo el Padre. Exhortación a Velar

33 T ake ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.

“Estén alerta, velen; porque no saben cuándo es el tiempo señalado.

34 I t is as when a man, sojourning in another country, having left his house, and given authority to his servants, to each one his work, commanded also the porter to watch.

Es como un hombre que se fue de viaje, y al salir de su casa dejó a sus siervos encargados, asignándole a cada uno su tarea, y ordenó al portero que estuviera alerta.

35 W atch therefore: for ye know not when the lord of the house cometh, whether at even, or at midnight, or at cockcrowing, or in the morning;

Por tanto, velen, porque no saben cuándo viene el señor de la casa, si al atardecer, o a la medianoche, o al canto del gallo, o al amanecer;

36 l est coming suddenly he find you sleeping.

no sea que venga de repente y los halle dormidos.

37 A nd what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

Y lo que a ustedes digo, a todos digo: ¡Velen!”
