1 O n that day went Jesus out of the house, and sat by the sea side.

Ese mismo día salió Jesús de la casa y se sentó a la orilla del mar.

2 A nd there were gathered unto him great multitudes, so that he entered into a boat, and sat; and all the multitude stood on the beach.

Y se congregaron junto a El grandes multitudes, por lo que subió a una barca y se sentó; y toda la multitud estaba de pie en la playa. Parábola del Sembrador

3 A nd he spake to them many things in parables, saying, Behold, the sower went forth to sow;

Y les habló muchas cosas en parábolas, diciendo: “El sembrador salió a sembrar;

4 a nd as he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the birds came and devoured them:

y al sembrar, parte de la semilla cayó junto al camino, y vinieron las aves y se la comieron.

5 a nd others fell upon the rocky places, where they had not much earth: and straightway they sprang up, because they had no deepness of earth:

Otra parte cayó en pedregales donde no tenía mucha tierra; y enseguida brotó porque no tenía profundidad de tierra;

6 a nd when the sun was risen, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.

pero cuando salió el sol, se quemó; y porque no tenía raíz, se secó.

7 A nd others fell upon the thorns; and the thorns grew up and choked them:

Otra parte cayó entre espinos; y los espinos crecieron y la ahogaron.

8 a nd others fell upon the good ground, and yielded fruit, some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

Y otra parte cayó en tierra buena y dio fruto, algunas semillas a ciento por uno, otras a sesenta y otras a treinta.

9 H e that hath ears, let him hear.

El que tiene oídos, que oiga.” Propósito de las Parábolas

10 A nd the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?

Y acercándose los discípulos, dijeron a Jesús: “¿Por qué les hablas en parábolas?”

11 A nd he answered and said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

Jesús les respondió: “Porque a ustedes se les ha concedido conocer los misterios del reino de los cielos, pero a ellos no se les ha concedido.

12 F or whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that which he hath.

Porque a cualquiera que tiene, se le dará más, y tendrá en abundancia; pero a cualquiera que no tiene, aun lo que tiene se le quitará.

13 T herefore speak I to them in parables; because seeing they see not, and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.

Por eso les hablo en parábolas; porque viendo no ven, y oyendo no oyen ni entienden.

14 A nd unto them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall in no wise understand; And seeing ye shall see, and shall in no wise perceive:

Y en ellos se cumple la profecía de Isaías que dice: ‘ Al oir, ustedes oiran, pero no entenderan; Y viendo veran, pero no percibiran;

15 F or this people's heart is waxed gross, And their ears are dull of hearing, And their eyes they have closed; Lest haply they should perceive with their eyes, And hear with their ears, And understand with their heart, And should turn again, And I should heal them.

Porque el corazon de este pueblo se ha vuelto insensible, Y con dificultad oyen con sus oidos; Y han cerrado sus ojos; De otro modo, verian con los ojos, Oirian con los oidos, Y entenderian con el corazon, Y se convertirian, Y yo los sanaria.’

16 B ut blessed are your eyes, for they see; and your ears, for they hear.

Pero dichosos los ojos de ustedes, porque ven, y sus oídos, porque oyen.

17 F or verily I say unto you, that many prophets and righteous men desired to see the things which ye see, and saw them not; and to hear the things which ye hear, and heard them not.

Porque en verdad les digo que muchos profetas y justos desearon ver lo que ustedes ven, y no lo vieron; y oír lo que ustedes oyen, y no lo oyeron. Explicación de la Parábola del Sembrador

18 H ear then ye the parable of the sower.

“ Ustedes, pues, escuchen la parábola del sembrador.

19 W hen any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the evil one, and snatcheth away that which hath been sown in his heart. This is he that was sown by the way side.

A todo el que oye la palabra del reino y no la entiende, el maligno viene y arrebata lo que fue sembrado en su corazón. Este es aquél en quien se sembró la semilla junto al camino.

20 A nd he that was sown upon the rocky places, this is he that heareth the word, and straightway with joy receiveth it;

Y aquél en quien se sembró la semilla en pedregales, éste es el que oye la palabra y enseguida la recibe con gozo;

21 y et hath he not root in himself, but endureth for a while; and when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, straightway he stumbleth.

pero no tiene raíz profunda en sí mismo, sino que sólo es temporal, y cuando por causa de la palabra viene la aflicción o la persecución, enseguida se aparta de ella.

22 A nd he that was sown among the thorns, this is he that heareth the word; and the care of the world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.

Y aquél en quien se sembró la semilla entre espinos, éste es el que oye la palabra, pero las preocupaciones del mundo y el engaño de las riquezas ahogan la palabra, y se queda sin fruto.

23 A nd he that was sown upon the good ground, this is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; who verily beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

Pero aquél en quien se sembró la semilla en tierra buena, éste es el que oye la palabra y la entiende; éste sí da fruto y produce, uno a ciento, otro a sesenta y otro a treinta por uno.” Parábola del Trigo y la Cizaña

24 A nother parable set he before them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man that sowed good seed in his field:

Jesús les contó otra parábola: “El reino de los cielos puede compararse a un hombre que sembró buena semilla en su campo.

25 b ut while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares also among the wheat, and went away.

Pero mientras los hombres dormían, vino su enemigo y sembró cizaña entre el trigo, y se fue.

26 B ut when the blade sprang up and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.

Cuando el trigo brotó y produjo grano, entonces apareció también la cizaña.

27 A nd the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst thou not sow good seed in thy field? whence then hath it tares?

Y los siervos del dueño fueron y le dijeron: ‘Señor, ¿no sembró usted buena semilla en su campo? ¿Cómo, pues, tiene cizaña?’

28 A nd he said unto them, An enemy hath done this. And the servants say unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?

El les dijo: ‘Un enemigo ha hecho esto.’ Y los siervos le dijeron: ‘¿Quiere, usted, que vayamos y la recojamos?’

29 B ut he saith, Nay; lest haply while ye gather up the tares, ye root up the wheat with them.

Pero él dijo: ‘No, no sea que al recoger la cizaña, arranquen el trigo junto con ella.

30 L et both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of the harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather up first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them; but gather the wheat into my barn.

Dejen que ambos crezcan juntos hasta la cosecha; y al tiempo de la cosecha diré a los segadores: “Recojan primero la cizaña y átenla en manojos para quemarla, pero el trigo recójanlo en mi granero.”’” Parábola del Grano de Mostaza

31 A nother parable set he before them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like unto a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field:

Otra parábola les contó Jesús: “ El reino de los cielos es semejante a un grano de mostaza, que un hombre tomó y sembró en su campo,

32 w hich indeed is less than all seeds; but when it is grown, it is greater than the herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the heaven come and lodge in the branches thereof.

y que de todas las semillas es la más pequeña; pero cuando ha crecido, es la mayor de las hortalizas, y se hace árbol, de modo que las aves del cielo vienen y anidan en sus ramas.” Parábola de la Levadura

33 A nother parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till it was all leavened.

Les dijo otra parábola: “ El reino de los cielos es semejante a la levadura que una mujer tomó y escondió en tres medidas (39 litros) de harina hasta que todo quedó fermentado.”

34 A ll these things spake Jesus in parables unto the multitudes; and without a parable spake he nothing unto them:

Todo esto habló Jesús en parábolas a las multitudes, y nada les hablaba sin parábola,

35 t hat it might be fulfilled which was spoken through the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things hidden from the foundation of the world.

para que se cumpliera lo que fue dicho por medio del profeta, cuando dijo: “ Abrire Mi boca en parabolas; hablare de cosas ocultas desde la fundacion del mundo.” Explicación de la Parábola del Trigo y la Cizaña

36 T hen he left the multitudes, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Explain unto us the parable of the tares of the field.

Entonces Jesús dejó a la multitud y entró en la casa. Y se acercaron Sus discípulos, diciendo: “Explícanos la parábola de la cizaña del campo.”

37 A nd he answered and said, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;

Jesús les respondió: “El que siembra la buena semilla es el Hijo del Hombre,

38 a nd the field is the world; and the good seed, these are the sons of the kingdom; and the tares are the sons of the evil one;

y el campo es el mundo; la buena semilla son los hijos del reino, y la cizaña son los hijos del maligno;

39 a nd the enemy that sowed them is the devil: and the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are angels.

el enemigo que la sembró es el diablo, la siega es el fin del mundo, y los segadores son los ángeles.

40 A s therefore the tares are gathered up and burned with fire; so shall it be in the end of the world.

Por tanto, así como la cizaña se recoge y se quema en el fuego, de la misma manera será en el fin del mundo.

41 T he Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that cause stumbling, and them that do iniquity,

El Hijo del Hombre enviará a Sus ángeles, y recogerán de Su reino a todos los que son piedra de tropiezo y a los que hacen iniquidad;

42 a nd shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.

y los echarán en el horno de fuego; allí será el llanto y el crujir de dientes.

43 T hen shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He that hath ears, let him hear.

Entonces los justos resplandeceran como el sol en el reino de su Padre. El que tiene oídos, que oiga. Parábolas del Tesoro Escondido y la Perla de Gran Valor

44 T he kingdom of heaven is like unto a treasure hidden in the field; which a man found, and hid; and in his joy he goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.

“El reino de los cielos es semejante a un tesoro escondido en el campo, que al encontrarlo un hombre, lo vuelve a esconder, y de alegría por ello, va, vende todo lo que tiene y compra aquel campo.

45 A gain, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is a merchant seeking goodly pearls:

“El reino de los cielos también es semejante a un mercader que busca perlas finas,

46 a nd having found one pearl of great price, he went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

y al encontrar una perla de gran valor, fue y vendió todo lo que tenía y la compró. Parábola de la Red Barredera

47 A gain, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind:

“El reino de los cielos también es semejante a una red barredera que se echó en el mar, y recogió peces de toda clase.

48 w hich, when it was filled, they drew up on the beach; and they sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but the bad they cast away.

Cuando se llenó, la sacaron a la playa; y se sentaron y recogieron los peces buenos en canastas, pero echaron fuera los malos.

49 S o shall it be in the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the righteous,

Así será en el fin del mundo; los ángeles saldrán, y sacarán a los malos de entre los justos,

50 a nd shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.

y los arrojarán en el horno de fuego; allí será el llanto y el crujir de dientes. Parábola del Dueño de Casa

51 H ave ye understood all these things? They say unto him, Yea.

“¿Han entendido ustedes todas estas cosas?” “Sí,” Le dijeron ellos.

52 A nd he said unto them, Therefore every scribe who hath been made a disciple to the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is a householder, who bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.

Entonces Jesús les dijo: “Por eso todo escriba que se ha convertido en un discípulo del reino de los cielos es semejante al dueño de casa que saca de su tesoro cosas nuevas y cosas viejas.” Jesús Enseña en Nazaret

53 A nd it came to pass, when Jesus had finished these parables, he departed thence.

Sucedió que cuando Jesús terminó estas parábolas, se fue de allí.

54 A nd coming into his own country he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works?

Y llegando a Su pueblo, les enseñaba en la sinagoga de ellos, de tal manera que se maravillaban y decían: “¿Dónde obtuvo Este tal sabiduría y estos poderes milagrosos ?

55 I s not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joseph, and Simon, and Judas?

¿No es Este el Hijo del carpintero? ¿No se llama Su madre María, y Sus hermanos Jacobo (Santiago), José, Simón y Judas?

56 A nd his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things?

¿No están todas Sus hermanas con nosotros? ¿Dónde, pues, obtuvo Este todas estas cosas?”

57 A nd they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honor, save in his own country, and in his own house.

Y se escandalizaban a causa de El. Pero Jesús les dijo: “No hay profeta sin honra, sino en su propia tierra y en su casa.”

58 A nd he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.

Y no hizo muchos milagros allí a causa de la incredulidad de ellos.
