1 T odavía el Señor volvió a decirme: «Ve y ama a esa adúltera, a quien ama su amigo como ama el Señor a los hijos de Israel, aun cuando éstos sólo tienen ojos para los dioses ajenos y aman las tortas de pasas.»

Yahweh said to me, “Go again, love a woman loved by another, and an adulteress, even as Yahweh loves the children of Israel, though they turn to other gods, and love cakes of raisins.”

2 Y o la compré para mí, y di por ella quince monedas de plata y doscientos litros de cebada.

So I bought her for myself for fifteen pieces of silver and a homer and a half of barley.

3 Y le dije: «Tú serás mía durante mucho tiempo. No te prostituirás, ni tendrás a ningún otro hombre. Tampoco yo tendré otra mujer.»

I said to her, “You shall stay with me many days. You shall not play the prostitute, and you shall not be with any other man. I will also be so toward you.”

4 P orque durante mucho tiempo los hijos de Israel estarán sin rey ni príncipe, ni sacrificios, ni estatuas, ni efod ni terafines.

For the children of Israel shall live many days without king, and without prince, and without sacrifice, and without sacred stone, and without ephod or idols.

5 D espués de eso los hijos de Israel volverán a buscar al Señor su Dios y a David su rey, y en los últimos días temerán al Señor y su bondad.

Afterward the children of Israel shall return, and seek Yahweh their God, and David their king, and shall come with trembling to Yahweh and to his blessings in the last days.
