1 S eñor, el rey se alegra por tu poder; grande es su gozo por tu salvación.

The king shall joy in thy strength, O Jehovah; And in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!

2 L e has concedido los deseos de su corazón; le has concedido todas sus peticiones.

Thou hast given him his heart's desire, And hast not withholden the request of his lips. Selah

3 L o has recibido con grandes bendiciones; lo has coronado con fina corona de oro.

For thou meetest him with the blessings of goodness: Thou settest a crown of fine gold on his head.

4 T e pidió muchos años de vida, y tú se los concediste.

He asked life of thee, thou gavest it him, Even length of days for ever and ever.

5 L e concediste además honra y grandeza; por eso él se gloría en tu salvación.

His glory is great in thy salvation: Honor and majesty dost thou lay upon him.

6 L o has bendecido para siempre; con tu presencia lo has llenado de alegría.

For thou makest him most blessed for ever: Thou makest him glad with joy in thy presence.

7 E l rey confía en ti, Señor; confía en tu misericordia, Dios Altísimo; ¡por eso nunca será derrocado!

For the king trusteth in Jehovah; And through the lovingkindness of the Most High he shall not be moved.

8 S u mano derribará a todos sus enemigos; su diestra destruirá a quienes lo aborrecen.

Thy hand will find out all thine enemies; Thy right hand will find out those that hate thee.

9 C uando tú, Señor, te manifiestes, los convertirás en un horno encendido; en tu enojo los harás pedazos, y con tu fuego acabarás con ellos.

Thou wilt make them as a fiery furnace in the time of thine anger: Jehovah will swallow them up in his wrath, And the fire shall devour them.

10 B orrarás de la tierra a sus descendientes, y ninguno de ellos quedará con vida.

Their fruit wilt thou destroy from the earth, And their seed from among the children of men.

11 E llos tramaron hacerte daño; maquinaron insidias, pero no prevalecerán.

For they intended evil against thee; They conceived a device which they are not able to perform.

12 T ú los pondrás en retirada cuando dispares contra ellos tus flechas.

For thou wilt make them turn their back; Thou wilt make ready with thy bowstrings against their face.

13 ¡ Enaltece, Señor, tu gran poder, y celebraremos con salmos tu victoria!

Be thou exalted, O Jehovah, in thy strength: So will we sing and praise thy power.
