1 E l Señor habló con Moisés, y le dijo:

And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,

2 « Habla con los hijos de Israel, y diles: »Yo soy el Señor su Dios.

Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, I am Jehovah your God.

3 » No hagan ustedes lo que hacen los egipcios, en cuyo país vivieron. Tampoco hagan lo que hacen los cananeos, a cuyo país yo los conduzco. No sigan sus estatutos.

After the doings of the land of Egypt, wherein ye dwelt, shall ye not do: and after the doings of the land of Canaan, whither I bring you, shall ye not do; neither shall ye walk in their statutes.

4 M ás bien, pongan en práctica mis ordenanzas y cumplan con mis estatutos. Síganlos. Yo soy el Señor su Dios.

Mine ordinances shall ye do, and my statutes shall ye keep, to walk therein: I am Jehovah your God.

5 P or lo tanto, obedezcan mis estatutos y mis ordenanzas. Todo el que los cumpla, vivirá por ellos. Yo soy el Señor.

Ye shall therefore keep my statutes, and mine ordinances; which if a man do, he shall live in them: I am Jehovah.

6 » Nadie debe allegarse a ninguna parienta cercana para descubrir su desnudez. Yo soy el Señor.

None of you shall approach to any that are near of kin to him, to uncover their nakedness: I am Jehovah.

7 » No descubrirás la desnudez de tu padre ni la desnudez de tu madre. Se trata de tu madre, así que no descubrirás su desnudez.

The nakedness of thy father, even the nakedness of thy mother, shalt thou not uncover: she is thy mother; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.

8 » No descubrirás la desnudez de la mujer de tu padre. Se trata de la desnudez de tu padre.

The nakedness of thy father's wife shalt thou not uncover: it is thy father's nakedness.

9 » No descubrirás la desnudez de tu hermana, hija de tu padre o hija de tu madre, nacida en tu casa o fuera de tu casa.

The nakedness of thy sister, the daughter of thy father, or the daughter of thy mother, whether born at home, or born abroad, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover.

10 » No descubrirás la desnudez de la hija de tu hijo, o de la hija de tu hija. Es tu propia desnudez.

The nakedness of thy son's daughter, or of thy daughter's daughter, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover: for theirs is thine own nakedness.

11 » No descubrirás la desnudez de la hija de la mujer de tu padre. Ha sido engendrada por tu padre, y es tu hermana.

The nakedness of thy father's wife's daughter, begotten of thy father, she is thy sister, thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.

12 » No descubrirás la desnudez de la hermana de tu padre. Se trata de la familia de tu padre.

Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father's sister: she is thy father's near kinswoman.

13 » No descubrirás la desnudez de la hermana de tu madre. Se trata de la familia de tu madre.

Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy mother's sister: for she is thy mother's near kinswoman.

14 » No descubrirás la desnudez del hermano de tu padre. »No te acostarás con la mujer del hermano de tu padre. Se trata de la mujer del hermano de tu padre.

Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father's brother, thou shalt not approach to his wife: she is thine aunt.

15 » No descubrirás la desnudez de tu nuera. Se trata de la mujer de tu hijo, así que no descubrirás su desnudez.

Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy daughter-in-law: she is thy son's wife; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.

16 » No descubrirás la desnudez de la mujer de tu hermano. Se trata de la desnudez de tu hermano.

Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy brother's wife: it is thy brother's nakedness.

17 » No descubrirás la desnudez de una mujer y de su hija. »No descubrirás la desnudez de la hija de su hijo, ni de la hija de su hija. Eso es un acto perverso, pues se trata de parientas cercanas.

Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of a woman and her daughter; thou shalt not take her son's daughter, or her daughter's daughter, to uncover her nakedness; they are near kinswomen: it is wickedness.

18 » No descubrirás la desnudez de la hermana de tu mujer, mientras ésta viva, pues la harías su rival.

And thou shalt not take a wife to her sister, to be a rival to her, to uncover her nakedness, besides the other in her life-time.

19 » No descubrirás la desnudez de ninguna mujer durante sus días de impureza menstrual.

And thou shalt not approach unto a woman to uncover her nakedness, as long as she is impure by her uncleanness.

20 » No tendrás relaciones sexuales con la mujer de tu prójimo, para no deshonrarte con ella.

And thou shalt not lie carnally with thy neighbor's wife, to defile thyself with her.

21 » No ofrezcas ningún hijo tuyo a Moloc, para que sea quemado. No deshonres así el nombre de tu Dios. Yo soy el Señor.

And thou shalt not give any of thy seed to make them pass through the fire to Molech; neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am Jehovah.

22 » No te acostarás con un hombre como si te acostaras con una mujer. Eso es un acto aberrante.

Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.

23 » No te allegarás a ningún animal para deshonrarte con él. »Ninguna mujer se pondrá delante de ningún animal para ayuntarse con él. Ése es un acto perverso.

And thou shalt not lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith; neither shall any woman stand before a beast, to lie down thereto: it is confusion.

24 » No se contaminen con nada de esto. Las naciones que yo estoy expulsando de la presencia de ustedes se han corrompido cometiendo todas estas cosas,

Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out from before you;

25 y con ello la tierra se contaminó. Pero yo castigué su maldad, y la tierra expulsó a sus habitantes.

And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land vomiteth out her inhabitants.

26 P ero ustedes, cumplan con mis estatutos y mis ordenanzas, y no cometan, ni ustedes ni los extranjeros que habitan entre ustedes, ninguno de estos actos aberrantes.

Ye therefore shall keep my statutes and mine ordinances, and shall not do any of these abominations; neither the home-born, nor the stranger that sojourneth among you;

27 P orque todas estas perversiones las cometieron los que habitaron esa tierra antes que ustedes, y la tierra se contaminó.

(for all these abominations have the men of the land done, that were before you, and the land is defiled);

28 N o vaya a ser que la tierra los expulse por haberla contaminado, como expulsó a la gente que la habitó antes que ustedes.

that the land vomit not you out also, when ye defile it, as it vomited out the nation that was before you.

29 T odos los que incurran en alguna de estas perversiones serán eliminados de su pueblo.

For whosoever shall do any of these abominations, even the souls that do them shall be cut off from among their people.

30 » Por lo tanto, cumplan con mis ordenanzas y no imiten las repugnantes acciones que se practicaron allí antes de ustedes. No se contaminen con ellas. Yo soy el Señor su Dios.»

Therefore shall ye keep my charge, that ye practise not any of these abominable customs, which were practised before you, and that ye defile not yourselves therein: I am Jehovah your God.
