1 N adab y Abiú, hijos de Aarón, tomaron sus respectivos incensarios, y después de poner fuego en ellos y echar incienso sobre él, ofrecieron delante del Señor fuego extraño, que El no les había ordenado.

And the sons of Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, take each his censer, and put in them fire, and put on it perfume, and bring near before Jehovah strange fire, which He hath not commanded them;

2 Y de la presencia del Señor salió fuego que los consumió, y murieron delante del Señor.

and fire goeth out from before Jehovah, and consumeth them, and they die before Jehovah.

3 E ntonces Moisés dijo a Aarón: Esto es lo que el Señor habló, diciendo: “Como santo seré tratado por los que se acercan a mí, y en presencia de todo el pueblo seré honrado.” Y Aarón guardó silencio.

And Moses saith unto Aaron, `It that which Jehovah hath spoken, saying, By those drawing near to Me I am sanctified, and in the face of all the people I am honoured;' and Aaron is silent.

4 L lamó también Moisés a Misael y a Elzafán, hijos de Uziel, tío de Aarón, y les dijo: Acercaos, llevaos a vuestros parientes de delante del santuario, fuera del campamento.

And Moses calleth unto Mishael and unto Elzaphan, sons of Uzziel, uncle of Aaron, and saith unto them, `Come near, bear your brethren from the front of the sanctuary unto the outside of the camp;'

5 Y ellos se acercaron y los llevaron fuera del campamento todavía en sus túnicas, como Moisés había dicho.

and they come near, and bear them in their coats unto the outside of the camp, as Moses hath spoken.

6 L uego Moisés dijo a Aarón y a sus hijos Eleazar e Itamar: No descubráis vuestra cabeza ni rasguéis vuestros vestidos, para que no muráis y para que El no desate todo su enojo contra toda la congregación. Pero vuestros hermanos, toda la casa de Israel, se lamentarán por el incendio que el Señor ha traído.

And Moses saith unto Aaron, and to Eleazar, and to Ithamar his sons, `Your heads ye do not uncover, and your garments ye do not rend, that ye die not, and on all the company He be wroth; as to your brethren, the whole house of Israel, they bewail the burning which Jehovah hath kindled;

7 N i siquiera saldréis de la entrada de la tienda de reunión, no sea que muráis; porque el aceite de unción del Señor está sobre vosotros. Y ellos hicieron conforme al mandato de Moisés. Deberes y porciones de los sacerdotes

and from the opening of the tent of meeting ye do not go out, lest ye die, for the anointing oil of Jehovah upon you;' and they do according to the word of Moses.

8 E l Señor habló a Aarón, diciendo:

And Jehovah speaketh unto Aaron, saying,

9 N o beberéis vino ni licor, tú ni tus hijos contigo, cuando entréis en la tienda de reunión, para que no muráis (es estatuto perpetuo por todas vuestras generaciones),

`Wine and strong drink thou dost not drink, thou, and thy sons with thee, in your going in unto the tent of meeting, and ye die not -- a statute age-during to your generations;

10 y para que hagáis distinción entre lo santo y lo profano, entre lo inmundo y lo limpio,

so as to make a separation between the holy and the common, and between the unclean and the pure;

11 y para que enseñéis a los hijos de Israel todos los estatutos que el Señor les ha dicho por medio de Moisés.

and to teach the sons of Israel all the statutes which Jehovah hath spoken unto them by the hand of Moses.'

12 Y Moisés dijo a Aarón y a los hijos que le quedaban, Eleazar e Itamar: Tomad la ofrenda de cereal que queda de las ofrendas encendidas para el Señor, y comedla sin levadura junto al altar, porque es santísima.

And Moses speaketh unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar, and unto Ithamar his sons, who are left, `Take ye the present that is left from the fire-offerings of Jehovah, and eat it unleavened near the altar, for it most holy,

13 L a comeréis, pues, en lugar santo, porque es la porción tuya y la porción de tus hijos de las ofrendas encendidas al Señor; porque así se me ha ordenado.

and ye have eaten it in the holy place, for it thy portion, and the portion of thy sons, from the fire-offerings of Jehovah; for so I have been commanded.

14 S in embargo, el pecho de la ofrenda mecida y la pierna de la ofrenda podéis comer los en un lugar limpio, tú, y tus hijos y tus hijas contigo; porque han sido dadas como la porción tuya y la de tus hijos de los sacrificios de las ofrendas de paz de los hijos de Israel.

`And the breast of the wave-offering, and the leg of the heave-offering, ye do eat in a clean place, thou, and thy sons, and thy daughters with thee; for thy portion and the portion of thy sons they have been given, out of the sacrifices of peace-offerings of the sons of Israel;

15 L a pierna que fue ofrecida levantándola, y el pecho que fue ofrecido meciéndolo, los traerán junto con las ofrendas encendidas de los pedazos de grasa, para presentarlos como ofrenda mecida delante del Señor; así será para siempre la porción tuya y la de tus hijos contigo, tal como el Señor ha ordenado.

the leg of the heave-offering, and breast of the wave-offering, besides fire-offerings of the fat, they do bring in to wave a wave-offering before Jehovah, and it hath been to thee, and to thy sons with thee, by a statute age-during, as Jehovah hath commanded.'

16 Y Moisés preguntó con diligencia por el macho cabrío de la ofrenda por el pecado, y he aquí que había sido quemado. Y se enojó con Eleazar e Itamar, los hijos que le habían quedado a Aarón, diciendo:

And the goat of the sin-offering hath Moses diligently sought, and lo, it is burnt, and he is wroth against Eleazar, and against Ithamar, sons of Aaron, who are left, saying,

17 ¿ Por qué no comisteis la ofrenda por el pecado en el lugar santo? Porque es santísima y os ha sido dada para quitar la culpa de la congregación, para hacer expiación por ellos delante del Señor.

`Wherefore have ye not eaten the sin-offering in the holy place, for it most holy -- and it He hath given to you to take away the iniquity of the company, to make atonement for them before Jehovah?

18 H e aquí, puesto que la sangre no había sido traída dentro, al santuario, ciertamente debíais haber comido la ofrenda en el santuario, tal como yo ordené.

lo, its blood hath not been brought in unto the holy place within; eating ye do eat it in the holy place, as I have commanded.'

19 P ero Aarón dijo a Moisés: Mira, hoy mismo han presentado ellos su ofrenda por el pecado y su holocausto delante del Señor. Ya que esto me ha sucedido, si yo hubiera comido hoy de la ofrenda por el pecado, ¿hubiera sido grato a los ojos del Señor ?

And Aaron speaketh unto Moses, `Lo, to-day they have brought near their sin-offering and their burnt-offering before Jehovah; and like these meet me, yet I have eaten a sin-offering to-day; is it good in the eyes of Jehovah?'

20 C uando Moisés oyó esto, quedó satisfecho.

And Moses hearkeneth, and it is good in his eyes.
