1 ¶ At that time the LORD said unto me, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first and come up unto me into the mount and make thee an ark of wood,

En aquel tiempo el Señor me dijo: “Lábrate dos tablas de piedra como las anteriores, y sube a mí al monte, y hazte un arca de madera.

2 a nd I will write on the tables the words that were in the first tables which thou didst brake, and thou shalt put them in the ark.

“Y yo escribiré sobre las tablas las palabras que estaban sobre las primeras tablas que quebraste, y las pondrás en el arca.”

3 A nd I made an ark of cedar wood and hewed two tables of stone like unto the first, and went up into the mount, having the two tables in my hand.

Hice, pues, un arca de madera de acacia y labré dos tablas de piedra como las anteriores, y subí al monte con las dos tablas en mi mano.

4 A nd he wrote on the tables, according to the first writing, the ten words which the LORD spoke unto you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly; and the LORD gave them unto me.

Y El escribió sobre las tablas, conforme a la escritura anterior, los diez mandamientos que el Señor os había hablado en el monte de en medio del fuego el día de la asamblea; y el Señor me las dio.

5 A nd I turned and came down from the mount and put the tables in the ark which I had made; and there they are, as the LORD commanded me.

Entonces me volví y descendí del monte, y puse las tablas en el arca que yo había hecho; y allí están tal como el Señor me ordenó.

6 ( After this, the sons of Israel took their journey from Beeroth of the sons of Jaakan to Mosera; there Aaron died, and there he was buried; and Eleazar, his son, received the priesthood in his stead.

(Después los hijos de Israel partieron de Beerot-bene-jaacán hacia Mosera. Allí murió Aarón y allí fue sepultado, y su hijo Eleazar ministró como sacerdote en su lugar.

7 F rom there they journeyed unto Gudgodah and from Gudgodah to Jotbath, a land of rivers of waters.

De allí partieron hacia Gudgoda; y de Gudgoda hacia Jotbata, una tierra de corrientes de aguas.

8 A t that time the LORD separated the tribe of Levi to bear the ark of the covenant of the LORD, to stand before the LORD to minister unto him, and to bless in his name, unto this day.

En aquel tiempo el Señor apartó la tribu de Leví para que llevara el arca del pacto del Señor, y para que estuviera delante del Señor, sirviéndole y bendiciendo en su nombre hasta el día de hoy.

9 T herefore, Levi had no part nor inheritance with his brethren; the LORD is his inheritance, according as the LORD thy God said unto him.)

Por tanto, Leví no tiene porción o herencia con sus hermanos; el Señor es su herencia, así como el Señor tu Dios le habló.)

10 A nd I stayed in the mount, like the first time, forty days and forty nights; and the LORD hearkened unto me at that time also, and the LORD did not desire to destroy thee.

Y me quedé en el monte cuarenta días y cuarenta noches como la primera vez, y el Señor me escuchó también esta vez; y el Señor no quiso destruirte.

11 A nd the LORD said unto me, Arise, take thy journey before the people that they may enter in and inherit the land, which I swore unto their fathers to give unto them.

Entonces me dijo el Señor: “Levántate, continúa tu marcha al frente del pueblo, para que entren y tomen posesión de la tierra que yo juré a sus padres que les daría.” Lo que Dios requiere

12 ¶ And now, Israel, what does the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways and to love him and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,

Y ahora, Israel, ¿qué requiere de ti el Señor tu Dios, sino que temas al Señor tu Dios, que andes en todos sus caminos, que le ames y que sirvas al Señor tu Dios con todo tu corazón y con toda tu alma,

13 t o keep the commandments of the LORD and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?

y que guardes los mandamientos del Señor y sus estatutos que yo te ordeno hoy para tu bien?

14 B ehold, the heavens and the heaven of heavens are of the LORD thy God, the earth also, with all that is therein.

He aquí, al Señor tu Dios pertenecen los cielos y los cielos de los cielos, la tierra y todo lo que en ella hay.

15 T he LORD delighted only in thy fathers to love them, and he chose their seed after them, even you from among all the peoples, as it is this day.

Sin embargo, el Señor se agradó de tus padres, los amó, y escogió a su descendencia después de ellos, es decir, a vosotros, de entre todos los pueblos, como se ve hoy.

16 C ircumcise, therefore, the foreskin of your heart, and no longer be stiffnecked.

Circuncidad, pues, vuestro corazón, y no endurezcáis más vuestra cerviz.

17 F or the LORD your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, a great God, mighty, and terrible, who makes no exception of persons, nor takes a bribe;

Porque el Señor vuestro Dios es Dios de dioses y Señor de señores, Dios grande, poderoso y temible que no hace acepción de personas ni acepta soborno.

18 h e executes the rights of the fatherless and the widow and also loves the stranger, giving him food and clothing.

El hace justicia al huérfano y a la viuda, y muestra su amor al extranjero dándole pan y vestido.

19 Y e shall love, therefore, the stranger, for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.

Mostrad, pues, amor al extranjero, porque vosotros fuisteis extranjeros en la tierra de Egipto.

20 T hou shalt fear the LORD thy God; him shalt thou serve, and to him shalt thou cleave and swear by his name.

Temerás al Señor tu Dios; le servirás, te allegarás a El y sólo en su nombre jurarás.

21 H e shall be thy praise, and he shall be thy God, that has done with thee these great and terrible things, which thine eyes have seen.

El es el objeto de tu alabanza y El es tu Dios, que ha hecho por ti estas cosas grandes y portentosas que tus ojos han visto.

22 T hy fathers went down into Egypt with seventy souls, and now the LORD thy God has made thee as the stars of heaven in multitude.

Cuando tus padres descendieron a Egipto eran setenta personas, y ahora el Señor tu Dios te ha hecho tan numeroso como las estrellas del cielo.
