1 ¶ Why do the Gentiles rage, and the peoples imagine a vain thing?

¿Por qué se sublevan las naciones, Y los pueblos traman cosas vanas ?

2 T he kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD and against his anointed, saying,

Se levantan los reyes de la tierra, Y los gobernantes traman unidos Contra el Señor y contra Su Ungido, diciendo:

3 l et us break their bands asunder and cast away their cords from us.

“¡Rompamos Sus cadenas Y echemos de nosotros Sus cuerdas!”

4 H e that sits in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.

El que se sienta como Rey en los cielos se ríe, El Señor se burla de ellos.

5 T hen he shall speak unto them in his wrath and trouble them in his sore displeasure.

Luego les hablará en Su ira, Y en Su furor los aterrará, diciendo:

6 Y et I have set my king upon Zion, the mountain of my holiness.

“Pero Yo mismo he consagrado a Mi Rey Sobre Sion, Mi santo monte.”

7 ¶ I will declare the decree; the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day I have begotten thee.

“Ciertamente anunciaré el decreto del Señor Que me dijo: ‘Mi Hijo eres Tú, Yo Te he engendrado hoy.

8 A sk of me, and I shall give thee the Gentiles for thine inheritance and unto the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.

Pídeme, y Te daré las naciones como herencia Tuya, Y como posesión Tuya los confines de la tierra.

9 T hou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.

Tú los quebrantarás con vara de hierro; Los desmenuzarás como vaso de alfarero.’”

10 ¶ Understand now therefore, O ye kings: receive chastening, ye judges of the earth.

Ahora pues, oh reyes, muestren discernimiento; Reciban amonestación, oh jueces de la tierra.

11 S erve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

Adoren al Señor con reverencia, Y alégrense con temblor.

12 K iss the Son lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way when his wrath is kindled in a little while. Blessed are all those that put their trust in him.

Honren al Hijo para que no se enoje y perezcan en el camino, Pues puede inflamarse de repente Su ira. ¡Cuán bienaventurados son todos los que en El se refugian!
