1 ¶ In that day they shall sing this song in the land of Judah; We have a strong city; God has appointed saving health for walls and bulwarks.

En aquel día se cantará este cántico en la tierra de Judá: “Ciudad fuerte tenemos; Para protección El pone murallas y baluartes.

2 O pen ye the gates, that the righteous nation which keeps the truth may enter in.

Abran las puertas para que pueda entrar la nación justa, La que permanece fiel.

3 T hou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusts in thee.

Al de firme propósito guardarás en perfecta paz, Porque en Ti confía.

4 T rust ye in the LORD for ever: for in JAH, the LORD is the strength of the ages:

Confíen en el Señor para siempre, Porque en Dios el Señor, tenemos una Roca eterna.

5 ¶ For he has brought down those that dwelt on high; he has humbled the lofty city; he humbled her, even to the ground; he brought her down even to the dust.

Porque El ha abatido a los que moran en lo alto, a la ciudad inconmovible; La humilla, la humilla hasta la tierra, la derriba hasta el polvo,

6 T he foot shall tread her down, even the feet of the poor, and the steps of the needy.

Y la pisotearán los pies, Los pies de los afligidos, las pisadas de los desvalidos.”

7 T he way of the just is uprightness: thou, most upright, dost weigh the path of the just.

La senda del justo es rectitud. Tú, que eres recto, allana el sendero del justo.

8 Y ea, in the way of thy judgments, O LORD, we wait for thee; the desire of our soul is to thy name and to the remembrance of thee.

Ciertamente, siguiendo la senda de Tus juicios, Oh Señor, Te hemos esperado. Tu nombre y Tu memoria son el anhelo del alma.

9 W ith my soul I desire thee in the night; yea, even as long as the spirit is within me I will seek thee early: for as long as thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness.

En la noche Te desea mi alma, En verdad mi espíritu dentro de mí Te busca con diligencia. Porque cuando la tierra tiene conocimiento de Tus juicios, Aprenden justicia los habitantes del mundo.

10 L et favour be showed to the wicked, yet will he not learn righteousness: in the land of uprightness he will deal unjustly and will not behold the majesty of the LORD.

Aunque se le muestre piedad al impío, No aprende justicia. Obra injustamente en tierra de rectitud, Y no ve la majestad del Señor.

11 L ORD, when thy hand is withdrawn, they will not see: but they shall see in the end and be ashamed with the zeal of the people. And fire shall consume thine enemies.

Oh Señor, levantada está Tu mano, mas ellos no la ven. Que vean Tu celo por el pueblo y se avergüencen. Ciertamente el fuego devorará a Tus enemigos.

12 ¶ LORD, thou wilt ordain peace for us: for thou also hast wrought in us all our works.

Señor, Tú establecerás paz para nosotros, Ya que también todas nuestras obras Tú las hiciste por nosotros.

13 O LORD our God, other lords have had dominion over us without thee: but in thee only will we remember thy name.

Oh Señor, Dios nuestro, otros señores fuera de Ti nos han gobernado. Pero sólo en Ti confesamos Tu nombre.

14 T hey are dead, they shall not live; they are deceased, they shall not rise because thou hast visited and destroyed them and made all their memory to perish.

Los muertos no vivirán, los espíritus no se levantarán, Pues los castigaste y destruiste, Y has borrado todo recuerdo de ellos.

15 T hou hast added the Gentiles, O LORD, thou hast added the Gentiles: thou hast made thyself glorious: thou hast extended thyself unto all the ends of the earth.

Has aumentado la nación, oh Señor, Has aumentado la nación, Te has glorificado, Has ensanchado todos los límites de la tierra.

16 L ORD, in the tribulation they have sought thee, they poured out prayer when thy chastening was upon them.

Oh Señor, en la angustia Te buscaron. Apenas susurraban una oración, Cuando Tu castigo estaba sobre ellos.

17 L ike as a woman with child, that draws near the time of her delivery, is in pain, and cries out in her pangs; so have we been in thy sight, O LORD.

Como la mujer encinta, al acercarse el momento de dar a luz, Se retuerce y grita en sus dolores de parto, Así éramos nosotros delante de Ti, oh Señor.

18 W e have conceived, we have had birth pangs; we have, as it were, brought forth wind; we have not wrought any health in the earth; neither have the inhabitants of the world fallen.

Estábamos encinta, nos retorcíamos en los dolores, Dimos a luz, al parecer, sólo viento. No logramos liberación para la tierra, Ni nacieron habitantes del mundo.

19 T hy dead shall live, and together with my body they shall arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the covering of light, and the earth shall cast out the dead.

Tus muertos vivirán, Sus cadáveres se levantarán. ¡Moradores del polvo, despierten y den gritos de júbilo!, Porque tu rocío es como el rocío del alba, Y la tierra dará a luz a los espíritus.

20 ¶ Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself, as it were, for a little moment until the indignation is overpast.

Ven, pueblo mío, entra en tus aposentos Y cierra tras ti tus puertas; Escóndete por corto tiempo Hasta que pase la indignación.

21 F or, behold, the LORD comes out of his place to visit the iniquity of the inhabitant of the earth against himself: the earth also shall disclose her blood and shall no longer cover her slain.

Porque el Señor va a salir de Su lugar Para castigar la iniquidad de los habitantes de la tierra, Y la tierra pondrá de manifiesto su sangre derramada Y no ocultará más a sus asesinados.
