1 P raise ye Jehovah. Blessed is the man that feareth Jehovah, That delighteth greatly in his commandments.

Dichoso el hombre que honra al Señor y se deleita obedeciendo sus mandatos.

2 H is seed shall be mighty upon earth: The generation of the upright shall be blessed.

Sus hijos tendrán poder en la tierra, y serán bendecidos por su rectitud.

3 W ealth and riches are in his house; And his righteousness endureth for ever.

Su casa rebosará de bienestar y de riquezas, y su justicia permanecerá para siempre.

4 U nto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: He is gracious, and merciful, and righteous.

Para los justos, la luz brilla en las tinieblas. Dios es bueno, justo y compasivo.

5 W ell is it with the man that dealeth graciously and lendeth; He shall maintain his cause in judgment.

El hombre bueno es compasivo y generoso; todos sus negocios los maneja con justicia,

6 F or he shall never be moved; The righteous shall be had in everlasting remembrance.

y por eso nunca tendrá tropiezos. El hombre justo siempre será recordado;

7 H e shall not be afraid of evil tidings: His heart is fixed, trusting in Jehovah.

vivirá sin temor a las malas noticias, y su corazón estará firme y confiando en el Señor.

8 H is heart is established, he shall not be afraid, Until he see his desire upon his adversaries.

Su corazón estará tranquilo, sin ningún temor, y llegará a ver la caída de sus enemigos.

9 H e hath dispersed, he hath given to the needy; His righteousness endureth for ever: His horn shall be exalted with honor.

El justo comparte con los pobres lo que tiene; su justicia permanece para siempre, y con mucha honra puede ostentar su poder.

10 T he wicked shall see it, and be grieved; He shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away: The desire of the wicked shall perish.

El malvado lo ve y se enoja; rechinando los dientes, se irá consumiendo; pero sus malos deseos no prosperarán.
