1 T hen he made an altar of brass, twenty cubits its length, and twenty cubits its width, and ten cubits its height.

Hizo además un altar de bronce de veinte codos de largo, veinte codos de ancho y diez codos de alto.

2 A lso he made the molten sea of ten cubits from brim to brim, round in compass; and its height was five cubits; and a line of thirty cubits encircled it.

También hizo un mar de metal fundido, el cual tenía diez codos de un borde al otro, enteramente redondo; su altura era de cinco codos, y un cordón de treinta codos de largo lo ceñía alrededor.

3 U nder it was the likeness of oxen, which encircled it, for ten cubits, encircling the sea. The oxen were in two rows, cast when it was cast.

Debajo y alrededor del mar había figuras de calabazas, diez por cada codo, colocadas en dos hileras fundidas juntamente con el mar.

4 I t stood on twelve oxen, three looking toward the north, and three looking toward the west, and three looking toward the south, and three looking toward the east: and the sea was set on them above, and all their hinder parts were inward.

Éste estaba asentado sobre doce bueyes, tres de los cuales miraban al norte, tres al occidente, tres al sur, y tres al oriente; el mar descansaba sobre ellos, y sus partes traseras miraban hacia adentro.

5 I t was a hand width thick; and its brim was worked like the brim of a cup, like the flower of a lily: it received and held three thousand baths.

Y tenía de grueso un palmo menor, y el borde tenía la forma del borde de un cáliz o de una flor de lis. Y le cabían tres mil batos.

6 H e made also ten basins, and put five on the right hand, and five on the left, to wash in them; such things as belonged to the burnt offering they washed in them; but the sea was for the priests to wash in.

Hizo también diez fuentes, y puso cinco a la derecha y cinco a la izquierda, para lavar y limpiar en ellas lo que se ofrecía en holocausto; pero el mar era para que los sacerdotes se lavaran en él.

7 H e made the ten lamp stands of gold according to the ordinance concerning them; and he set them in the temple, five on the right hand, and five on the left.

Hizo asimismo diez candelabros de oro según la forma prescrita, los cuales puso en el Templo, cinco a la derecha y cinco a la izquierda.

8 H e made also ten tables, and placed them in the temple, five on the right side, and five on the left. He made one hundred basins of gold.

Además hizo diez mesas y las puso en el Templo, cinco a la derecha y cinco a la izquierda; igualmente hizo cien tazones de oro.

9 F urthermore he made the court of the priests, and the great court, and doors for the court, and overlaid their doors with brass.

También hizo el atrio de los sacerdotes, el gran atrio y las portadas del atrio, y recubrió de bronce sus puertas.

10 H e set the sea on the right side of the house eastward, toward the south.

Y colocó el mar al lado derecho, hacia el sureste de la Casa.

11 H uram made the pots, and the shovels, and the basins. So Huram finished doing the work that he did for king Solomon in God’s house:

Hiram también hizo calderos, palas y tazones. Así acabó Hiram la obra que le había encargado el rey Salomón para la casa de Dios.

12 t he two pillars, and the bowls, and the two capitals which were on the top of the pillars, and the two networks to cover the two bowls of the capitals that were on the top of the pillars,

Las dos columnas y los cordones, los capiteles sobre las cabezas de las dos columnas, y las dos redes para cubrir las dos esferas de los capiteles que estaban encima de las columnas;

13 a nd the four hundred pomegranates for the two networks; two rows of pomegranates for each network, to cover the two bowls of the capitals that were on the pillars.

cuatrocientas granadas en las dos redes, dos hileras de granadas en cada red, para que cubrieran las dos esferas de los capiteles que estaban encima de las columnas.

14 H e made also the bases, and the basins made he on the bases;

Hizo también las basas, sobre las cuales colocó las fuentes;

15 o ne sea, and the twelve oxen under it.

un mar, y los doce bueyes debajo de él;

16 H uram his father also made the pots, the shovels, the forks, and all its vessels for king Solomon for Yahweh’s house of bright brass.

y calderos, palas y garfios. Todos estos enseres los hizo Hiram-abi al rey Salomón, para la casa de Jehová, de bronce muy fino.

17 T he king cast them in the plain of the Jordan, in the clay ground between Succoth and Zeredah.

Los fundió el rey en los llanos del Jordán, en tierra arcillosa, entre Sucot y Seredata.

18 T hus Solomon made all these vessels in great abundance: for the weight of the brass could not be found out.

Salomón hizo todos estos enseres en número tan grande, que no pudo saberse el peso del bronce.

19 S olomon made all the vessels that were in God’s house, the golden altar also, and the tables with the show bread on them;

Así hizo Salomón todos los utensilios para la casa de Dios, el altar de oro, y las mesas sobre las cuales se ponían los panes de la proposición;

20 a nd the lamp stands with their lamps, to burn according to the ordinance before the inner sanctuary, of pure gold;

asimismo los candelabros y sus lámparas, de oro puro, para que las encendieran delante del Lugar santísimo conforme a la ordenanza.

21 a nd the flowers, and the lamps, and the tongs, of gold, and that perfect gold;

Las flores, lámparas y tenazas se hicieron de oro, de oro finísimo;

22 a nd the snuffers, and the basins, and the spoons, and the fire pans, of pure gold: and as for the entry of the house, the inner doors of it for the most holy place, and the doors of the main hall of the temple were of gold.

también las despabiladeras, los lebrillos, las cucharas y los incensarios eran de oro puro. También eran de oro la entrada de la Casa, sus puertas interiores para el Lugar santísimo, y las puertas del Templo mismo.
