1 Y ahweh’s word came to me, saying,

Vino a mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:

2 S on of man, set your face toward the children of Ammon, and prophesy against them:

«Hijo de hombre, vuelve tu rostro hacia los hijos de Amón y profetiza contra ellos.

3 a nd tell the children of Ammon, Hear the word of the Lord Yahweh: Thus says the Lord Yahweh, Because you said, Aha, against my sanctuary, when it was profaned; and against the land of Israel, when it was made desolate; and against the house of Judah, when they went into captivity:

Dirás a los hijos de Amón: “Oíd la palabra de Jehová, el Señor, que dice así: Por cuanto dijiste: ‘¡Ea, qué bien!’, cuando mi santuario era profanado, la tierra de Israel era asolada y llevada en cautiverio la casa de Judá;

4 t herefore, behold, I will deliver you to the children of the east for a possession, and they shall set their encampments in you, and make their dwellings in you; they shall eat your fruit, and they shall drink your milk.

por eso yo te entrego por heredad a los orientales, pondrán en ti sus apriscos y plantarán en ti sus tiendas; ellos comerán tus sementeras y beberán tu leche.

5 I will make Rabbah a stable for camels, and the children of Ammon a resting place for flocks: and you shall know that I am Yahweh.

Pondré a Rabá por pastizal de camellos y a los hijos de Amón por majada de ovejas. Y sabréis que yo soy Jehová.

6 F or thus says the Lord Yahweh: Because you have clapped your hands, and stamped with the feet, and rejoiced with all the despite of your soul against the land of Israel;

Porque así ha dicho Jehová, el Señor: Por cuanto aplaudiste, golpeaste con tu pie y te gozaste en el alma con todo tu menosprecio hacia la tierra de Israel,

7 t herefore, behold, I have stretched out my hand on you, and will deliver you for a plunder to the nations; and I will cut you off from the peoples, and I will cause you to perish out of the countries: I will destroy you; and you shall know that I am Yahweh.

por eso yo extenderé mi mano contra ti y te entregaré a las naciones para ser saqueada; te eliminaré de entre los pueblos y te destruiré de entre los países. Te exterminaré, y sabrás que yo soy Jehová. Profecía contra Moab

8 T hus says the Lord Yahweh: Because Moab and Seir say, Behold, the house of Judah is like all the nations;

»”Así ha dicho Jehová, el Señor: Por cuanto dijeron Moab y Seir: ‘He aquí la casa de Judá es como todas las naciones’;

9 t herefore, behold, I will open the side of Moab from the cities, from his cities which are on his frontiers, the glory of the country, Beth Jeshimoth, Baal Meon, and Kiriathaim,

por eso, he aquí yo abro el lado de Moab desde las ciudades, desde sus ciudades que están en su confín, las tierras deseables de Bet-jesimot, Baal-meón y Quiriataim,

10 t o the children of the east, to go against the children of Ammon; and I will give them for a possession, that the children of Ammon may not be remembered among the nations.

a los hijos del oriente junto con los hijos de Amón; y la entregaré por heredad, para que no haya más memoria de los hijos de Amón entre las naciones.

11 a nd I will execute judgments on Moab; and they shall know that I am Yahweh.

También en Moab ejecutaré juicios, y sabrán que yo soy Jehová. Profecía contra Edom

12 T hus says the Lord Yahweh: Because Edom has dealt against the house of Judah by taking vengeance, and has greatly offended, and revenged himself on them;

»”Así ha dicho Jehová, el Señor: Por lo que hizo Edom, tomando venganza de la casa de Judá, pues delinquieron en extremo cuando se vengaron de ellos;

13 t herefore thus says the Lord Yahweh, I will stretch out my hand on Edom, and will cut off man and animal from it; and I will make it desolate from Teman; even to Dedan shall they fall by the sword.

por eso, así ha dicho Jehová, el Señor: Yo también extenderé mi mano sobre Edom y eliminaré de ella a hombres y a bestias, y la asolaré; desde Temán hasta Dedán caerán a espada.

14 I will lay my vengeance on Edom by the hand of my people Israel; and they shall do in Edom according to my anger and according to my wrath; and they shall know my vengeance, says the Lord Yahweh.

Pondré mi venganza contra Edom en manos de mi pueblo Israel, y harán en Edom según mi enojo y conforme a mi ira; y conocerán mi venganza, dice Jehová, el Señor. Profecía contra los filisteos

15 T hus says the Lord Yahweh: Because the Philistines have dealt by revenge, and have taken vengeance with despite of soul to destroy with perpetual hostility;

»”Así ha dicho Jehová, el Señor: Por lo que hicieron los filisteos por venganza, cuando se vengaron con despecho de ánimo, destruyendo por antiguas enemistades;

16 t herefore thus says the Lord Yahweh, Behold, I will stretch out my hand on the Philistines, and I will cut off the Cherethites, and destroy the remnant of the sea coast.

por eso, así ha dicho Jehová: He aquí yo extiendo mi mano contra los filisteos, eliminaré a los cereteos y destruiré el resto que queda en la costa del mar.

17 I will execute great vengeance on them with wrathful rebukes; and they shall know that I am Yahweh, when I shall lay my vengeance on them.

Haré en ellos grandes venganzas con reprensiones de ira; y sabrán que yo soy Jehová, cuando lleve a cabo mi venganza en ellos.”»
