1 H ermanos, el deseo de mi corazón y mi oración a Dios por ellos es para su salvación.

Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.

2 P orque yo testifico a su favor de que tienen celo de Dios, pero no conforme a un pleno conocimiento.

For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.

3 P ues desconociendo la justicia de Dios y procurando establecer la suya propia, no se sometieron a la justicia de Dios.

For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

4 P orque Cristo es el fin de la ley para justicia a todo aquel que cree. Cómo ser salvo

For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

5 P orque Moisés escribe que el hombre que practica la justicia que es de la ley, vivirá por ella.

For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them.

6 P ero la justicia que es de la fe, dice así: No digas en tu corazon: “¿ Quien subira al cielo ?” (esto es, para hacer bajar a Cristo),

But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above: )

7 o “¿ Quien descendera al abismo ?” (esto es, para subir a Cristo de entre los muertos ).

or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)

8 M as, ¿qué dice? Cerca de ti esta la palabra, en tu boca y en tu corazon, es decir, la palabra de fe que predicamos:

But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

9 q ue si confiesas con tu boca a Jesús por Señor, y crees en tu corazón que Dios le resucitó de entre los muertos, serás salvo;

that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 p orque con el corazón se cree para justicia, y con la boca se confiesa para salvación.

For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

11 P ues la Escritura dice: Todo el que cree en El no sera avergonzado.

For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

12 P orque no hay distinción entre judío y griego, pues el mismo Señor es Señor de todos, abundando en riquezas para todos los que le invocan;

For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

13 p orque: Todo aquel que invoque el nombre del Señor sera salvo.

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

14 ¿ Cómo, pues, invocarán a aquel en quien no han creído? ¿Y cómo creerán en aquel de quien no han oído ? ¿Y cómo oirán sin haber quien les predique ?

How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

15 ¿ Y cómo predicarán si no son enviados? Tal como está escrito: ¡ Cuan hermosos son los pies de los que anuncian el evangelio del bien! Israel rechaza el evangelio

and how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

16 S in embargo, no todos hicieron caso al evangelio, porque Isaías dice: Señor, ¿quien ha creido a nuestro anuncio ?

But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?

17 A sí que la fe viene del oír, y el oír, por la palabra de Cristo.

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

18 P ero yo digo, ¿acaso nunca han oído? Ciertamente que sí: Por toda la tierra ha salido su voz, y hasta los confines del mundo sus palabras.

But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.

19 Y añado: ¿Acaso Israel no sabía? En primer lugar, Moisés dice: Yo os provocare a celos con un pueblo que no es pueblo; con un pueblo sin entendimiento os provocare a ira.

But I say, Did not Israel know? First Moses saith, I will provoke you to jealousy by them that are no people, and by a foolish nation I will anger you.

20 E Isaías es muy osado, y dice: Fui hallado por los que no me buscaban; me manifeste a los que no preguntaban por mi.

But Esaias is very bold, and saith, I was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me.

21 P ero en cuanto a Israel, dice: Todo el dia he extendido mis manos a un pueblo desobediente y rebelde.

But to Israel he saith, All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people.
