3 D enn der HERR ist ein großer Gott und ein großer König über alle Götter.

For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods.

4 D enn in seiner Hand ist, was unten in der Erde ist; und die Höhen der Berge sind auch sein.

In His hand are the deep places of the earth; the heights and strength of the hills are His also.

5 D enn sein ist das Meer, und er hat's gemacht; und seine Hände haben das Trockene bereitet.

The sea is His, for He made it; and His hands formed the dry land.

6 K ommt, laßt uns anbeten und knieen und niederfallen vor dem HERRN, der uns gemacht hat.

O come, let us worship and bow down, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.

7 D enn er ist unser Gott und wir das Volk seiner Weide und Schafe seiner Hand. Heute, so ihr seine Stimme höret,

For He is our God and we are the people of His pasture and the sheep of His hand. Today, if you will hear His voice,

8 s o verstocket euer Herz nicht, wie zu Meriba geschah, wie zu Massa in der Wüste,

Harden not your hearts as at Meribah and as at Massah in the day of temptation in the wilderness,

9 d a mich eure Väter versuchten, mich prüften und sahen mein Werk.

When your fathers tried My patience and tested Me, proved Me, and saw My work.

10 V ierzig Jahre hatte ich Mühe mit diesem Volk und sprach: Es sind Leute, deren Herz immer den Irrweg will und die meine Wege nicht lernen wollen;

Forty years long was I grieved and disgusted with that generation, and I said, It is a people that do err in their hearts, and they do not approve, acknowledge, or regard My ways.

11 d aß ich schwur in meinem Zorn: Sie sollen nicht zu meiner Ruhe kommen.

Wherefore I swore in My wrath that they would not enter My rest.
