1 L 'Eterno parlò ancora a Mosè, dicendo:

Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

2 « Vedi, io ho chiamato per nome Betsaleel, figlio di Uri, figlio di Hur, della tribú di Giuda;

“Behold, I have called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah:

3 e l'ho riempito dello Spirito di DIO, di sapienza, di intelligenza, di conoscenza e di ogni abilità,

and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all kinds of workmanship,

4 p er ideare disegni artistici, per lavorare l'oro, l'argento e il bronzo,

to devise skillful works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass,

5 p er scolpire pietre da incastonare, per intagliare il legno e per eseguire ogni sorta di lavori.

and in cutting of stones for setting, and in carving of wood, to work in all kinds of workmanship.

6 E d ecco, gli ho dato per compagno Oholiab, figlio i Ahisamak, della tribú di Dan; e ho messo sapienza nella mente di tutti gli uomini abili, perché possano fare tutto ciò che ti ho ordinato:

Behold, I myself have appointed with him Oholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan; and in the heart of all who are wise-hearted I have put wisdom, that they may make all that I have commanded you:

7 l a tenda di convegno, l'arca della testimonianza e il propiziatorio che vi sta sopra, e tutti gli arredi della tenda,

the Tent of Meeting, the ark of the testimony, the mercy seat that is on it, all the furniture of the Tent,

8 l a tavola e i suoi utensili, il candelabro d'oro puro e tutti i suoi utensili, l'altare dell'incenso,

the table and its vessels, the pure lamp stand with all its vessels, the altar of incense,

9 l 'altare degli olocausti e tutti i suoi utensili, la conca e la sua base,

the altar of burnt offering with all its vessels, the basin and its base,

10 l e vesti finemente tessute, e le vesti sacre per il sacerdote Aaronne e le vesti dei suoi figli per servire come sacerdoti,

the finely worked garments—the holy garments for Aaron the priest—the garments of his sons to minister in the priest’s office,

11 l 'olio dell'unzione e l'incenso profumato per il luogo santo. Essi faranno secondo tutto ciò che ti ho ordinato».

the anointing oil, and the incense of sweet spices for the holy place: according to all that I have commanded you they shall do.”

12 L 'Eterno parlò ancora a Mosè, dicendo:

Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

13 « parla anche ai figli d'Israele, dicendo: Badate bene di osservare i miei sabati, perché è un segno fra me e voi per tutte le vostre generazioni, affinché conosciate che io sono l'Eterno che vi santifica.

“Speak also to the children of Israel, saying, ‘Most certainly you shall keep my Sabbaths: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that you may know that I am Yahweh who sanctifies you.

14 O sserverete dunque il sabato, perché è per voi un giorno santo; chi lo profana sarà messo a morte; chiunque fa in esso qualche lavoro sarà sterminato da mezzo del suo popolo.

You shall keep the Sabbath therefore; for it is holy to you. Everyone who profanes it shall surely be put to death; for whoever does any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people.

15 S i lavorerà sei giorni; ma il settimo giorno è sabato di riposo, sacro all'Eterno; chiunque farà qualche lavoro nel giorno di sabato sarà messo a morte.

Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, holy to Yahweh. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day shall surely be put to death.

16 I figli d'Israele perciò osserveranno il sabato, celebrando il sabato di generazione in generazione, come un patto perpetuo.

Therefore the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.

17 E sso è un segno perpetuo fra me e i figli d'Israele, poiché in sei giorni l'Eterno fece i cieli e la terra, e il settimo giorno si riposò e fu ristorato».

It is a sign between me and the children of Israel forever; for in six days Yahweh made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.’”

18 Q uando l'Eterno ebbe finito di parlare con Mosè sul monte Sinai, gli diede le due tavole della testimonianza, tavole di pietra, scritte col dito di DIO.

He gave to Moses, when he finished speaking with him on Mount Sinai, the two tablets of the testimony, stone tablets, written with God’s finger.
