1 ¶ The earth is the LORD’s, and the fullness thereof; the world and they that dwell therein.

(Ein Psalm Davids.) Die Erde ist des HERRN und was darinnen ist, der Erdboden und was darauf wohnt.

2 F or he has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the rivers.

Denn er hat ihn an die Meere gegründet und an den Wassern bereitet.

3 ¶ Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in the place of his holiness?

Wer wird auf des HERRN Berg gehen, und wer wird stehen an seiner heiligen Stätte?

4 H e that has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not taken my name in vain, nor sworn deceitfully.

Der unschuldige Hände hat und reines Herzens ist; der nicht Lust hat zu loser Lehre und schwört nicht fälschlich:

5 H e shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his saving health.

der wird den Segen vom HERRN empfangen und Gerechtigkeit von dem Gott seines Heils.

6 T his is the generation of those that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.

Das ist das Geschlecht, das nach ihm fragt, das da sucht dein Antlitz, Gott Jakobs. (Sela.)

7 ¶ Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and lift yourselves up, ye everlasting doors, and the King of glory shall come in.

Machet die Tore weit und die Türen in der Welt hoch, daß der König der Ehren einziehe!

8 W ho is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.

Wer ist derselbe König der Ehren? Es ist der HERR, stark und mächtig, der HERR, mächtig im Streit.

9 L ift up your heads, O ye gates; lift yourselves up, ye everlasting doors, and the King of glory shall come in.

Machet die Tore weit und die Türen in der Welt hoch, daß der König der Ehren einziehe!

10 W ho is this King of glory? The LORD of the hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.

Wer ist derselbe König der Ehren? Es ist der HERR Zebaoth; er ist der König der Ehren. (Sela.)
