1 A Psalm of David, `To cause to remember.' Jehovah, in Thy wrath reprove me not, Nor in Thy fury chastise me.

Señor, no me reprendas en Tu enojo, Ni me castigues en Tu furor.

2 F or Thine arrows have come down on me, And Thou lettest down upon me Thy hand.

Porque Tus flechas se han clavado en mí, Y sobre mí ha descendido Tu mano.

3 S oundness is not in my flesh, Because of Thine indignation, Peace is not in my bones because of my sin.

Nada hay sano en mi carne a causa de Tu indignación; En mis huesos no hay salud a causa de mi pecado.

4 F or mine iniquities have passed over my head, As a heavy burden -- too heavy for me.

Porque mis iniquidades han sobrepasado mi cabeza; Como pesada carga, pesan mucho para mí.

5 S tunk -- become corrupt have my wounds, Because of my folly.

Mis llagas huelen mal y supuran A causa de mi necedad.

6 I have been bent down, I have been bowed down -- unto excess, All the day I have gone mourning.

Estoy encorvado y abatido en gran manera, Y ando sombrío todo el día.

7 F or my flanks have been full of drought, And soundness is not in my flesh.

Porque mis lomos están inflamados de fiebre, Y nada hay sano en mi carne.

8 I have been feeble and smitten -- unto excess, I have roared from disquietude of heart.

Estoy entumecido y abatido en gran manera; Gimo a causa de la agitación de mi corazón.

9 L ord, before Thee all my desire, And my sighing from Thee hath not been hid.

Señor, todo mi anhelo está delante de Ti, Y mi suspiro no Te es oculto.

10 M y heart panting, my power hath forsaken me, And the light of mine eyes, Even they are not with me.

Palpita mi corazón, mis fuerzas me abandonan, Y aun la luz de mis ojos se ha ido de mí.

11 M y lovers and my friends over-against my plague stand. And my neighbours afar off have stood.

Mis amigos y mis compañeros se mantienen lejos de mi plaga, Y mis parientes se mantienen a distancia.

12 A nd those seeking my soul lay a snare, And those seeking my evil Have spoken mischievous things, And they do deceits meditate all the day.

Los que buscan mi vida me tienden lazos; Los que procuran mi mal hablan de mi destrucción, Y traman traición todo el día.

13 A nd I, as deaf, hear not. And as a dumb one who openeth not his mouth.

Pero yo, como el sordo, no oigo; Soy como el mudo que no abre la boca.

14 Y ea, I am as a man who heareth not, And in his mouth are no reproofs.

Sí, soy como el hombre que no oye, Y en cuya boca no hay réplica.

15 B ecause for Thee, O Jehovah, I have waited, Thou dost answer, O Lord my God.

Porque en Ti espero, oh Señor; Tú responderás, Señor, Dios mío.

16 W hen I said, `Lest they rejoice over me, In the slipping of my foot against me they magnified themselves.

Pues dije: “Que no se alegren de mí Los que, cuando mi pie resbala, se engrandecen sobre mí.”

17 F or I am ready to halt, And my pain before me continually.

Porque yo estoy a punto de caer, Y mi dolor está continuamente delante de mí.

18 F or mine iniquity I declare, I am sorry for my sin.

Confieso, pues, mi iniquidad; Afligido estoy a causa de mi pecado.

19 A nd mine enemies lively, They have been strong, and those hating me without cause, Have been multiplied.

Pero mis enemigos son vigorosos y fuertes; Muchos son los que sin causa me aborrecen.

20 A nd those paying evil for good accuse me, Because of my pursuing good.

Y los que pagan mal por bien Se me oponen, porque yo sigo lo bueno.

21 D o not forsake me, O Jehovah, My God, be not far from me,

No me abandones, oh Señor; Dios mío, no estés lejos de mí.

22 H aste to help me, O Lord, my salvation!

Apresúrate a socorrerme, Oh Señor, salvación mía.
