1 J osué era ya viejo, entrado en años, cuando Jehová le dijo: «Tú eres ya viejo, de edad avanzada, y queda aún mucha tierra por poseer.

And Joshua is old, entering into days, and Jehovah saith unto him, `Thou hast become aged, thou hast entered into days; as to the land, very much hath been left to possess.

2 É sta es la tierra que queda: todos los territorios de los filisteos y de los gesureos,

`This the land that is left; all the circuits of the Philistines, and all Geshuri,

3 d esde Sihor, que está al oriente de Egipto, hasta el límite de Ecrón por el norte, que se considera de los cananeos; los cinco principados de los filisteos, el gazeo, el asdodeo, el ascaloneo, el geteo y el ecroneo; también los aveos,

from Sihor which on the front of Egypt, and unto the border of Ekron northward, to the Canaanite it is reckoned, five princes of the Philistines, the Gazathite, and the Ashdothite, the Eshkalonite, the Gittite, and the Ekronite, also the Avim.

4 q ue están al sur. Toda la tierra de los cananeos, y Mehara, que es de los sidonios, hasta Afec y hasta los límites del amorreo;

`From the south, all the land of the Canaanite, and Mearah, which to the Sidonians, unto Aphek, unto the border of the Amorite;

5 l a tierra de los giblitas, con todo el Líbano hacia donde sale el sol, desde Baal-gad, al pie del monte Hermón, hasta la entrada de Hamat.

and the land of the Giblite, and all Lebanon, at the sun-rising, from Baal-Gad under mount Hermon, unto the going in to Hamath:

6 Y o expulsaré de la presencia de los hijos de Israel a todos los que habitan en las montañas desde el Líbano hasta Misrefot-maim, y a todos los sidonios. Tú solamente repartirás por suertes el país a los israelitas como heredad, conforme te he mandado.

all the inhabitants of the hill-country, from Lebanon unto Misrephoth-Maim, all the Sidonians: I -- I dispossess them before the sons of Israel; only, cause it to fall to Israel for an inheritance, as I have commanded thee.

7 R eparte, pues, ahora esta tierra como heredad a las nueve tribus y a la media tribu de Manasés.»

`And now, apportion this land for an inheritance to the nine tribes, and the half of the tribe of Manasseh,' --

8 P orque la otra media tribu de Manasés, los rubenitas y los gaditas habían recibido ya la heredad que les dio Moisés al otro lado del Jordán, al oriente, según el reparto de Moisés, siervo de Jehová:

with it the Reubenite, and the Gadite, have received their inheritance, which Moses hath given to them beyond the Jordan eastward, as Moses servant of Jehovah hath given to them;

9 d esde Aroer, a orillas del arroyo Arnón, con la ciudad que está en medio del valle y toda la llanura de Medeba, hasta Dibón;

from Aroer, which on the edge of the brook Arnon, and the city which in the midst of the brook, and all the plain of Medeba unto Dihon,

10 t odas las ciudades de Sehón, rey de los amorreos, el cual reinó en Hesbón, hasta los límites de los hijos de Amón;

and all the cities of Sihon king of the Amorite, who reigned in Heshbon, unto the border of the Bene-Ammon,

11 G alaad, los territorios de los gesureos y los maacateos, todo el monte Hermón y toda la tierra de Basán hasta Salca;

and Gilead, and the border of the Geshurite, and of the Maachathite, and all mount Hermon, and all Bashan unto Salcah;

12 y en Basán todo el reino de Og, que reinó en Astarot y en Edrei, y era el último sobreviviente de los refaítas, pues Moisés los había derrotado y expulsado.

all the kingdom of Og in Bashan, who reigned in Ashtaroth and in Edrei; he was left of the remnant of the Rephaim, and Moses doth smite them, and dispossess them;

13 P ero a los gesureos y a los maacateos no los expulsaron los hijos de Israel, sino que Gesur y Maaca habitaron entre los israelitas hasta hoy. Los territorios que Moisés distribuyó

and the sons of Israel dispossessed not the Geshurite, and the Maachathite; and Geshur and Maachath dwell in the midst of Israel unto this day.

14 P ero a la tribu de Leví no le dio heredad; los sacrificios de Jehová, Dios de Israel, son su heredad, como él les había dicho.

Only, to the tribe of Levi he hath not given an inheritance; fire-offerings of Jehovah, God of Israel, is its inheritance, as He hath spoken to it.

15 D io, pues, Moisés a la tribu de los hijos de Rubén conforme a sus familias.

And Moses giveth to the tribe of the sons of Reuben, for their families;

16 S u territorio iba desde Aroer, que está a la orilla del arroyo Arnón, con la ciudad que está en medio del valle y toda la llanura hasta Medeba;

and the border is to them from Aroer, which on the edge of the brook Arnon, and the city which in the midst of the brook, and all the plain by Medeba,

17 H esbón, con todas las ciudades que están en la llanura; Dibón, Bamot-baal, Bet-baal-meón,

Heshbon, and all its cities which in the plain, Dibon, and Bamoth-Baal, and Beth-Baal-Meon,

18 J ahaza, Cademot, Mefaat,

and Jahazah, and Kedemoth, and Mephaath,

19 Q uiriataim, Sibma, Zaret-sahar en el monte del valle,

and Kirjathaim, and Sibmah, and Zareth-Shahar, in the mount of the valley,

20 B et-peor, las laderas de Pisga, Bet-jesimot,

and Beth-Peor, and the springs of Pisgah, and Beth-Jeshimoth,

21 t odas las ciudades de la llanura y todo el reino de Sehón, rey de los amorreos, que reinó en Hesbón y a quien derrotó Moisés, lo mismo que a los príncipes de Madián, Evi, Requem, Zur, Hur y Reba, príncipes de Sehón que habitaban en aquella tierra.

and all the cities of the plain, and all the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorite, who reigned in Heshbon, whom Moses smote, with the princes of Midian, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, princes of Sihon, inhabitants of the land.

22 T ambién pasaron a espada los hijos de Israel, entre otras víctimas, a Balaam, el adivino, hijo de Beor.

And Balaam, son of Beor, the diviner, have the sons of Israel slain with the sword, among their wounded ones.

23 Y el Jordán servía de límite al territorio de los hijos de Rubén. Ésta fue la heredad de los hijos de Rubén conforme a sus familias, con sus ciudades y sus aldeas.

And the border of the sons of Reuben is the Jordan, and border; this the inheritance of the sons of Reuben, for their families, the cities and their villages.

24 D io asimismo Moisés a la tribu de Gad, a los hijos de Gad, conforme a sus familias.

And Moses giveth to the tribe of Gad, to the sons of Gad, for their families;

25 S u territorio fue Jazer, todas las ciudades de Galaad, la mitad de la tierra de los hijos de Amón hasta Aroer, que está enfrente de Rabá,

and the border is to them Jazer, and all the cities of Gilead, and the half of the land of the Bene-Ammon, unto Aroer which on the front of Rabbah,

26 y desde Hesbón hasta Ramat-mizpa y Betonim, y desde Mahanaim hasta el límite de Debir;

and from Heshbon unto Ramath-Mispeh, and Betonim, and from Mahanaim unto the border of Debir,

27 y en el valle, Bet-aram, Bet-nimra, Sucot y Zafón —el resto del reino de Sehón, rey de Hesbón—, el Jordán y su límite hasta el extremo del mar de Cineret al otro lado del Jordán, al oriente.

and in the valley, Beth-Aram, and Beth-Nimrah, and Succoth, and Zaphon, the rest of the kingdom of Sihon king of Heshbon, the Jordan and border, unto the extremity of the sea of Chinnereth, beyond the Jordan, eastward.

28 É sta es la heredad de los hijos de Gad por sus familias, con sus ciudades y sus aldeas.

This the inheritance of the sons of Gad, for their families, the cities and their villages.

29 T ambién dio Moisés su heredad a la media tribu de Manasés, que fue para la media tribu de los hijos de Manasés, conforme a sus familias.

And Moses giveth to the half of the tribe of Manasseh; and it is to the half of the tribe of the sons of Manasseh, for their families.

30 S u territorio iba desde Mahanaim, y comprendía todo Basán, todo el reino de Og, rey de Basán, todas las aldeas de Jair que están en Basán: sesenta poblaciones.

And their border is from Mahanaim, all Bashan, all the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, and all the small towns of Jair, which in Bashan, sixty cities;

31 L a mitad de Galaad, Astarot y Edrei, ciudades del reino de Og en Basán, pasaron a la mitad de los hijos de Maquir hijo de Manasés, conforme a sus familias.

and the half of Gilead, and Ashteroth, and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan, to the sons of Machir, son of Manasseh, to the half of the sons of Machir, for their families.

32 E sto es lo que Moisés repartió como heredad en los llanos de Moab, al otro lado del Jordán, al oriente de Jericó.

These they whom Moses caused to inherit in the plains of Moab, beyond the Jordan, Jericho, eastward;

33 P ero a la tribu de Leví no le dio Moisés heredad; Jehová, Dios de Israel, es su heredad, como él les había dicho.

and to the tribe of Levi Moses gave not an inheritance; Jehovah, God of Israel, Himself their inheritance, as He hath spoken to them.
