1 J ehová dijo a Moisés: —Prepara dos tablas de piedra, como las primeras, y escribiré sobre esas tablas las palabras que estaban en las tablas primeras que quebraste.

And Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Hew for thyself two tables of stone like the first, and I have written on the tables the words which were on the first tables which thou hast broken;

2 P repárate, pues, para mañana, sube de mañana al monte Sinaí y preséntate ante mí sobre la cumbre del monte.

and be prepared at morning, and thou hast come up in the morning unto mount Sinai, and hast stood before Me there, on the top of the mount,

3 Q ue no suba nadie contigo ni aparezca nadie en todo el monte. Ni ovejas ni bueyes pasten frente al monte.

and no man cometh up with thee, and also no man is seen in all the mount, also the flock and the herd do not feed over-against that mount.'

4 M oisés preparó dos tablas de piedra como las primeras, se levantó de mañana y subió al monte Sinaí, como le mandó Jehová, llevando en sus manos las dos tablas de piedra.

And he heweth two tables of stone like the first, and Moses riseth early in the morning, and goeth up unto mount Sinai, as Jehovah commanded him, and he taketh in his hand two tables of stone.

5 D escendió Jehová en la nube y permaneció allí junto a él; y él proclamó el nombre de Jehová.

And Jehovah cometh down in a cloud, and stationeth Himself with him there, and calleth in the Name of Jehovah,

6 J ehová pasó por delante de él y exclamó: —¡Jehová! ¡Jehová! Dios fuerte, misericordioso y piadoso; tardo para la ira y grande en misericordia y verdad,

and Jehovah passeth over before his face, and calleth: `Jehovah, Jehovah God, merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in kindness and truth,

7 q ue guarda misericordia a millares, que perdona la iniquidad, la rebelión y el pecado, pero que de ningún modo tendrá por inocente al malvado; que castiga la maldad de los padres en los hijos y en los hijos de los hijos, hasta la tercera y cuarta generación.

keeping kindness for thousands, taking away iniquity, and transgression, and sin, and not entirely acquitting, charging iniquity of fathers on children, and on children's children, on a third, and on a fourth.'

8 E ntonces Moisés, apresurándose, bajó la cabeza hasta el suelo y adoró,

And Moses hasteth, and boweth to the earth, and doth obeisance,

9 d iciendo: —Señor, si en verdad he hallado gracia a tus ojos, que vaya ahora el Señor en medio de nosotros. Éste es un pueblo muy terco, pero perdona nuestra maldad y nuestro pecado, y acéptanos como tu heredad. Advertencia contra la idolatría de Canaán

and saith, `If, I pray Thee, I have found grace in Thine eyes, O my Lord, let my Lord, I pray Thee, go in our midst (for it a stiff-necked people), and thou hast forgiven our iniquity and our sin, and hast inherited us.'

10 J ehová le dijo: «Mira, voy a hacer un pacto delante de todo tu pueblo. Haré maravillas que no han sido hechas en toda la tierra, ni en nación alguna, y verá todo el pueblo en medio del cual tú estás la obra de Jehová, porque será cosa tremenda la que yo haré contigo.

And He saith, `Lo, I am making a covenant: before all thy people I do wonders, which have not been done in all the earth, or in any nation, and all the people in whose midst thou have seen the work of Jehovah, for it fearful that which I am doing with thee.

11 » Guarda lo que yo te mando hoy. Yo echo de delante de tu presencia al amorreo, al cananeo, al heteo, al ferezeo, al heveo y al jebuseo.

`Observe for thyself that which I am commanding thee to-day: lo, I am casting out from before thee the Amorite, and the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite;

12 » Guárdate de hacer alianza con los habitantes de la tierra donde has de entrar, para que no sean una trampa en medio de ti.

take heed to thyself, lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitant of the land into which thou art going, lest it become a snare in thy midst;

13 D erribaréis sus altares, quebraréis sus estatuas y destruiréis sus imágenes de Asera.

for their altars ye break down, and their standing pillars ye shiver, and its shrines ye cut down;

14 » No te inclinarás ante ningún otro dios, pues Jehová, cuyo nombre es Celoso, es un Dios celoso.

for ye do not bow yourselves to another god -- for Jehovah, whose name Zealous, is a zealous God.

15 » Por tanto, no harás alianza con los habitantes de aquella tierra, no sea que cuando se prostituyan siguiendo a sus dioses y les ofrezcan sacrificios, te inviten y comas de sus sacrificios;

`Lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitant of the land, and they have gone a-whoring after their gods, and have sacrificed to their gods, and hath called to thee, and thou hast eaten of his sacrifice,

16 o que tomen de sus hijas para tus hijos, y al prostituirse ellas tras sus dioses, hagan que tus hijos se prostituyan también yendo tras los dioses de ellas.

and thou hast taken of their daughters to thy sons, and their daughters have gone a-whoring after their gods, and have caused thy sons to go a-whoring after their gods;

17 » No te harás dioses de fundición. Fiestas anuales

a molten god thou dost not make to thyself.

18 » La fiesta de los Panes sin levadura guardarás; siete días comerás pan sin levadura, según te he mandado, en el tiempo señalado del mes de Abib, porque en el mes de Abib saliste de Egipto.

`The feast of unleavened things thou dost keep; seven days thou dost eat unleavened things, as I have commanded thee, at an appointed time, the month of Abib: for in the month of Abib thou didst come out from Egypt.

19 » Todo primer nacido, mío es; y todo macho de tu ganado que sea primogénito de vaca o de oveja.

`All opening a womb Mine, and every firstling of thy cattle born a male, ox or sheep;

20 P ero redimirás con un cordero al primogénito del asno; y si no lo redimes, lo desnucarás. Redimirás todo primogénito de tus hijos, y nadie se presentará ante mí con las manos vacías.

and the firstling of an ass thou dost ransom with a lamb; and if thou dost not ransom, then thou hast beheaded it; every first-born of thy sons thou dost ransom, and they do not appear before Me empty.

21 » Seis días trabajarás, pero en el séptimo día descansarás; aun en tiempo de siembra y de cosecha, descansarás.

`Six days thou dost work, and on the seventh day thou dost rest; in ploughing-time and in harvest thou dost rest.

22 » También celebrarás la fiesta de las Semanas, la de las primicias de la cosecha del trigo y la fiesta de la Cosecha a la salida del año.

`And a feast of weeks thou dost observe for thyself; first-fruits of wheat-harvest; and the feast of in-gathering, at the revolution of the year.

23 » Tres veces en el año se presentará todo hombre tuyo delante de Jehová, el Señor, Dios de Israel.

`Three times in a year do all thy males appear before the Lord Jehovah, God of Israel;

24 Y o arrojaré de tu presencia a las naciones y ensancharé tu territorio. Nadie codiciará tu tierra cuando subas tres veces al año a presentarte delante de Jehová, tu Dios.

for I dispossess nations from before thee, and have enlarged thy border, and no man doth desire thy land in thy going up to appear before Jehovah thy God three times in a year.

25 » No ofrecerás cosa leudada junto con la sangre de mi sacrificio, ni se dejará hasta la mañana nada del sacrificio de la fiesta de la Pascua.

`Thou dost not slaughter with a fermented thing the blood of My sacrifice; and the sacrifice of the feast of the passover doth not remain till morning:

26 » Llevarás las primicias de los primeros frutos de tu tierra a la casa de Jehová, tu Dios. »No cocerás el cabrito en la leche de su madre.» Moisés y las tablas de la Ley

the first of the first-fruits of the land thou dost bring into the house of Jehovah thy God; thou dost not boil a kid in its mother's milk.'

27 J ehová dijo a Moisés: «Escribe tú estas palabras, porque conforme a estas palabras he hecho un pacto contigo y con Israel.»

And Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Write for thyself these words, for, according to the tenor of these words I have made with thee a covenant, and with Israel.'

28 M oisés estuvo allí con Jehová cuarenta días y cuarenta noches; no comió pan ni bebió agua. Y escribió en tablas las palabras del pacto, los diez mandamientos.

And he is there with Jehovah forty days and forty nights; bread he hath not eaten, and water he hath not drunk; and he writeth on the tables the matters of the covenant -- the ten matters.

29 D espués descendió Moisés del monte Sinaí con las dos tablas del Testimonio en sus manos. Al descender del monte, la piel de su rostro resplandecía por haber estado hablando con Dios, pero Moisés no lo sabía.

And it cometh to pass, when Moses is coming down from mount Sinai (and the two tables of the testimony in the hand of Moses in his coming down from the mount), that Moses hath not known that the skin of his face hath shone in His speaking with him,

30 A arón y todos los hijos de Israel miraron a Moisés, y al ver que la piel de su rostro resplandecía, tuvieron miedo de acercarse a él.

and Aaron seeth -- all the sons of Israel also -- Moses, and lo, the skin of his face hath shone, and they are afraid of coming nigh unto him.

31 E ntonces Moisés los llamó; Aarón y todos los príncipes de la congregación se acercaron a él, y Moisés les habló.

And Moses calleth unto them, and Aaron and all the princes in the company return unto him, and Moses speaketh unto them;

32 L uego se acercaron todos los hijos de Israel, a los cuales mandó todo lo que Jehová le había dicho en el monte Sinaí.

and afterwards have all the sons of Israel come nigh, and he chargeth them with all that Jehovah hath spoken with him in mount Sinai.

33 C uando acabó Moisés de hablar con ellos, puso un velo sobre su rostro.

And Moses finisheth speaking with them, and putteth on his face a vail;

34 C uando Moisés iba ante Jehová para hablar con él, se quitaba el velo hasta que salía. Al salir, comunicaba a los hijos de Israel lo que le era mandado.

and in the going in of Moses before Jehovah to speak with Him, he turneth aside the vail until his coming out; and he hath come out and hath spoken unto the sons of Israel that which he is commanded;

35 A l mirar los hijos de Israel el rostro de Moisés, veían que la piel de su rostro resplandecía, y entonces Moisés volvía a ponerse el velo sobre el rostro, hasta que entraba a hablar con Dios.

and the sons of Israel have seen the face of Moses that the skin of the face of Moses hath shone, and Moses hath put back the vail on his face until his going in to speak with Him.
