1 U nd der HERR redete mit Mose und Aaron und sprach:

Yahweh spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying,

2 D ie Kinder Israel sollen vor der Hütte des Stifts umher sich lagern, ein jeglicher unter seinem Panier und Zeichen nach ihren Vaterhäusern.

“The children of Israel shall encamp every man by his own standard, with the banners of their fathers’ houses: at a distance from the Tent of Meeting shall they encamp around it.”

3 G egen Morgen sollen lagern Juda mit seinem Panier und Heer; ihr Hauptmann Nahesson, der Sohn Amminadabs,

Those who encamp on the east side toward the sunrise shall be of the standard of the camp of Judah, according to their divisions: and the prince of the children of Judah shall be Nahshon the son of Amminadab.

4 u nd sein Heer, zusammen vierundsiebzigtausend und sechshundert.

His division, and those who were numbered of them, were seventy-four thousand six hundred.

5 N eben ihm soll sich lagern der Stamm Isaschar; ihr Hauptmann Nathanael, der Sohn Zuars,

Those who encamp next to him shall be the tribe of Issachar: and the prince of the children of Issachar shall be Nethanel the son of Zuar.

6 u nd sein Heer, zusammen vierundfünfzigtausend und vierhundert.

His division, and those who were numbered of it, were fifty-four thousand four hundred.

7 D azu der Stamm Sebulon; ihr Hauptmann Eliab, der Sohn Helons,

The tribe of Zebulun: and the prince of the children of Zebulun shall be Eliab the son of Helon.

8 s ein Heer, zusammen siebenundfünfzigtausend und vierhundert.

His division, and those who were numbered of it, were fifty-seven thousand four hundred.

9 D aß alle, die ins Lager Juda's gehören, seien zusammen hundert sechsundachtzigtausend und vierhundert die zu ihrem Heer gehören; und sie sollen vornean ziehen.

All who were numbered of the camp of Judah were one hundred eighty-six thousand four hundred, according to their divisions. They shall set out first.

10 G egen Mittag soll liegen das Gezelt und Panier Rubens mit ihrem Heer; ihr Hauptmann Elizur, der Sohn Sedeurs,

“On the south side shall be the standard of the camp of Reuben according to their divisions. The prince of the children of Reuben shall be Elizur the son of Shedeur.

11 u nd sein Heer, zusammen sechsundvierzigtausend fünfhundert.

His division, and those who were numbered of it, were forty-six thousand five hundred.

12 N eben ihm soll sich lagern der Stamm Simeon; ihr Hauptmann Selumiel, der Sohn Zuri-Saddais,

“Those who encamp next to him shall be the tribe of Simeon. The prince of the children of Simeon shall be Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.

13 u nd sein Heer, zusammen neunundfünfzigtausend dreihundert.

His division, and those who were numbered of them, were fifty-nine thousand three hundred.

14 D azu der Stamm Gad; ihr Hauptmann Eljasaph, der Sohn Reguels,

“The tribe of Gad: and the prince of the children of Gad shall be Eliasaph the son of Reuel.

15 u nd sein Heer, zusammen fünfundvierzigtausend sechshundertfünfzig.

His division, and those who were numbered of them, were forty-five thousand six hundred fifty.

16 D aß alle, die ins Lager Rubens gehören, seien zusammen hunderteinundfünfzigtausend vierhundertfünfzig, die zu ihrem Heer gehören; sie sollen die zweiten im Ausziehen sein.

“All who were numbered of the camp of Reuben were one hundred fifty-one thousand four hundred fifty, according to their armies. They shall set out second.

17 D arnach soll die Hütte des Stifts ziehen mit dem Lager der Leviten, mitten unter den Lagern; und wie sie sich lagern, so sollen sie auch ziehen, ein jeglicher an seinem Ort unter seinem Panier.

“Then the Tent of Meeting shall set out, with the camp of the Levites in the middle of the camps. As they encamp, so shall they set out, every man in his place, by their standards.

18 G egen Abend soll liegen das Gezelt und Panier Ephraims mit ihrem Heer; ihr Hauptmann soll sein Elisama, der Sohn Ammihuds,

“On the west side shall be the standard of the camp of Ephraim according to their divisions: and the prince of the children of Ephraim shall be Elishama the son of Ammihud.

19 u nd sein Heer, zusammen vierzigtausend und fünfhundert.

His division, and those who were numbered of them, were forty thousand five hundred.

20 N eben ihm soll sich lagern der Stamm Manasse; ihr Hauptmann Gamliel, der Sohn Pedazurs,

“Next to him shall be the tribe of Manasseh: and the prince of the children of Manasseh shall be Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur.

21 u nd sein Heer, zusammen zweiunddreißigtausend und zweihundert.

His division, and those who were numbered of them, were thirty-two thousand two hundred.

22 D azu der Stamm Benjamin; ihr Hauptmann Abidan, der Sohn des Gideoni,

“The tribe of Benjamin: and the prince of the children of Benjamin shall be Abidan the son of Gideoni.

23 u nd sein Heer, zusammen fünfunddreißigtausend und vierhundert.

His army, and those who were numbered of them, were thirty-five thousand four hundred.

24 D aß alle, die ins Lager Ephraims gehören, seien zusammen hundertundachttausend und einhundert, die zu seinem Heer gehören; und sie sollen die dritten im Ausziehen sein.

“All who were numbered of the camp of Ephraim were one hundred eight thousand one hundred, according to their divisions. They shall set out third.

25 G egen Mitternacht soll liegen das Gezelt und Panier Dans mit ihrem Heer; ihr Hauptmann Ahieser, der Sohn Ammi-Saddais,

“On the north side shall be the standard of the camp of Dan according to their divisions: and the prince of the children of Dan shall be Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai.

26 u nd sein Heer, zusammen zweiundsechzigtausend und siebenhundert.

His division, and those who were numbered of them, were sixty-two thousand seven hundred.

27 N eben ihm soll sich lagern der Stamm Asser; ihr Hauptmann Pagiel, der Sohn Ochrans,

“Those who encamp next to him shall be the tribe of Asher: and the prince of the children of Asher shall be Pagiel the son of Ochran.

28 u nd sein Heer, zusammen einundvierzigtausend und fünfhundert.

His division, and those who were numbered of them, were forty-one thousand and five hundred.

29 D azu der Stamm Naphthali; ihr Hauptmann Ahira, der Sohn Enans,

“The tribe of Naphtali: and the prince of the children of Naphtali shall be Ahira the son of Enan.

30 u nd sein Heer, zusammen dreiundfünfzigtausend und vierhundert.

His division, and those who were numbered of them, were fifty-three thousand four hundred.

31 D aß alle, die ins Lager Dans gehören, seien zusammen hundertsiebenundfünfzigtausend und sechshundert; und sie sollen die letzten sein im Ausziehen mit ihrem Panier.

“All who were numbered of the camp of Dan were one hundred fifty-seven thousand six hundred. They shall set out last by their standards.”

32 D ies ist die Summe der Kinder Israel nach ihren Vaterhäusern und Lagern mit ihren Heeren: sechshunderttausend und dreitausend fünfhundertfünfzig.

These are those who were numbered of the children of Israel by their fathers’ houses. All who were numbered of the camps according to their armies were six hundred three thousand five hundred fifty.

33 A ber die Leviten wurden nicht in die Summe unter die Kinder Israel gezählt, wie der HERR dem Mose geboten hatte.

But the Levites were not numbered among the children of Israel; as Yahweh commanded Moses.

34 U nd die Kinder Israel taten alles, wie der HERR dem Mose geboten hatte, und lagerten sich unter ihre Paniere und zogen aus, ein jeglicher in seinem Geschlecht nach seinem Vaterhaus.

Thus the children of Israel did. According to all that Yahweh commanded Moses, so they encamped by their standards, and so they set out, everyone by their families, according to their fathers’ houses.
