4 O f Heman; the sons of Heman: Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, Romamti-Ezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, and Mahazioth.

De Hemã, os filhos de Hemã: Buquias, Matanias, Uziel, Sebuel, Jerimote, Hananias, Hanâni, Eliatá, Gidálti, e Românti-Ezer, Josbecasa, Malóti, Hotir e Maaziote.

5 A ll these were the sons of Heman the king’s seer in the words of God, to lift up the horn. God gave to Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.

6 A ll these were under the hands of their father for song in Yahweh’s house, with cymbals, stringed instruments, and harps, for the service of God’s house; Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman being under the order of the king.

Todos estes estavam sob a direção de seu pai para a música na casa do Senhor, com címbalos, alaúdes e harpas para o serviço da casa de Deus. E Asafe, Jedútun e Hemã estavam sob as ordens do rei.

7 T he number of them, with their brothers who were instructed in singing to Yahweh, even all who were skillful, was two hundred eighty-eight.

Era o número deles, juntamente com seus irmãos instruídos em cantar ao Senhor, todos eles mestres, duzentos e oitenta e oito.

8 T hey cast lots for their offices, all alike, the small as well as the great, the teacher as well as the student.
