1 » No admitirás falso rumor. No te pondrás de acuerdo con el malvado para ser testigo falso.

Thou shalt not accept a false report; extend not thy hand to the wicked, to be an unrighteous witness.

2 » No seguirás a la mayoría para hacer mal, ni responderás en un litigio inclinándote a la mayoría para hacer agravios.

Thou shalt not follow the multitude for evil; neither shalt thou answer in a cause, to go after the multitude to pervert.

3 T ampoco favorecerás al pobre en su causa.

Neither shalt thou favour a poor man in his cause.

4 » Si encuentras el buey de tu enemigo o su asno extraviado, regresa a llevárselo.

—If thou meet thine enemy's ox or his ass going astray, thou shalt certainly bring it back to him.

5 S i ves el asno del que te aborrece caído debajo de su carga, ¿lo dejarás sin ayuda? Antes bien le ayudarás a levantarlo.

If thou see the ass of him that hateth thee lying under its burden, beware of leaving to him: thou shalt certainly loosen with him.

6 » No violarás el derecho del pobre en su pleito.

Thou shalt not pervert the judgment of thy poor in his cause.

7 » De palabra de mentira te alejarás, y no matarás al inocente y justo, porque yo no justificaré al malvado.

Thou shalt keep far from the cause of falsehood; and the innocent and righteous slay not; for I will not justify the wicked.

8 » No recibirás soborno, porque el soborno ciega a los que ven y pervierte las palabras de los justos.

And thou shalt take no bribe; for the bribe blindeth those whose eyes are open, and perverteth the words of the righteous.

9 » No oprimirás al extranjero, porque vosotros sabéis cómo es el alma del extranjero, ya que extranjeros fuisteis en la tierra de Egipto.

And the stranger thou shalt not oppress; for ye know the spirit of the stranger, for ye have been strangers in the land of Egypt.

10 » Seis años sembrarás tu tierra y recogerás su cosecha,

And six years thou shalt sow thy land, and gather in its produce;

11 p ero el séptimo año la dejarás libre, para que coman los pobres de tu pueblo, y de lo que quede comerán las bestias del campo. Así harás con tu viña y con tu olivar.

but in the seventh thou shalt let it rest and lie, that the poor of thy people may eat; and what they leave, the beasts of the field shall eat. In like manner thou shalt deal with thy vineyard, and with thine olive-tree.

12 » Seis días trabajarás, pero el séptimo día reposarás, para que descansen tu buey y tu asno, y tomen refrigerio el hijo de tu sierva y el extranjero.

—Six days thou shalt do thy work, but on the seventh day thou shalt rest; that thine ox and thine ass may rest, and the son of thy handmaid, and the stranger may be refreshed.

13 » Guardad todo lo que os he dicho. No invocaréis el nombre de otros dioses ni los mencionará vuestra boca. Las tres fiestas anuales

And ye shall be on your guard as to everything that I have said unto you; and shall make no mention of the name of other gods—it shall not be heard in thy mouth.

14 » Tres veces al año me celebraréis fiesta.

Thrice in the year thou shalt celebrate a feast to me.

15 L a fiesta de los Panes sin levadura guardarás. Siete días comerás los panes sin levadura, como yo te mandé, en el tiempo del mes de Abib, porque en él saliste de Egipto; y ninguno se presentará ante mí con las manos vacías.

Thou shalt keep the feast of unleavened bread, (thou shalt eat unleavened bread seven days, as I have commanded thee, in the time appointed of the month Abib; for in it thou camest out from Egypt; and none shall appear in my presence empty;)

16 » También la fiesta de la Siega, los primeros frutos de tus labores, de lo que hayas sembrado en el campo, y la fiesta de la Cosecha a la salida del año, cuando hayas recogido del campo los frutos de tus labores.

and the feast of harvest, the first-fruits of thy labours which thou hast sown in the field, and the feast of in-gathering, at the end of the year, when thou gatherest in thy labours out of the field.

17 » Tres veces al año se presentará todo hombre delante de Jehová, el Señor.

Three times in the year all thy males shall appear in the presence of the Lord Jehovah.

18 » No ofrecerás con pan leudado la sangre de mi sacrificio, ni la grasa de la víctima quedará de la noche hasta la mañana.

Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leavened bread; neither shall the fat of my feast remain all night until the morning.

19 » Las primicias de los primeros frutos de tu tierra traerás a la casa de Jehová, tu Dios. »No guisarás el cabrito en la leche de su madre. El ángel de Jehová enviado para guiar a Israel

The first of the first-fruits of thy land thou shalt bring into the house of Jehovah thy God. Thou shalt not boil a kid in its mother's milk.

20 » Yo envío mi ángel delante de ti, para que te guarde en el camino y te introduzca en el lugar que yo he preparado.

Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee to the place that I have prepared.

21 C ompórtate delante de él y oye su voz; no le seas rebelde, porque él no perdonará vuestra rebelión, pues mi nombre está en él.

Be careful in his presence, and hearken unto his voice: do not provoke him, for he will not forgive your transgressions; for my name is in him.

22 P ero si en verdad oyes su voz y haces todo lo que yo te diga, seré enemigo de tus enemigos y afligiré a los que te aflijan.

But if thou shalt diligently hearken unto his voice, and do all that I shall say, then I will be an enemy to thine enemies, and an adversary to thine adversaries.

23 M i ángel irá delante de ti y te llevará a la tierra del amorreo, del heteo, del ferezeo, del cananeo, del heveo y del jebuseo, a los cuales yo haré destruir.

For mine Angel shall go before thee, and bring thee in unto the Amorites and the Hittites and the Perizzites and the Canaanites, the Hivites and the Jebusites; and I will cut them off.

24 N o te inclinarás ante sus dioses ni los servirás, ni harás como ellos hacen, sino que los destruirás del todo y quebrarás totalmente sus estatuas.

Thou shalt not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do after their deeds; but thou shalt utterly destroy them, and utterly shatter their statues.

25 P ero serviréis a Jehová, vuestro Dios, y él bendecirá tu pan y tus aguas. »Yo apartaré de ti toda enfermedad.

And ye shall serve Jehovah your God; and he shall bless thy bread and thy water; and I will take sickness away from thy midst.

26 E n tu tierra no habrá mujer que aborte ni que sea estéril, y alargaré el número de tus días.

There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land; the number of thy days will I fulfil.

27 » Yo enviaré mi terror delante de ti; turbaré a todos los pueblos donde entres y haré que todos tus enemigos huyan delante de ti.

I will send my fear before thee, and confound every people to which thou comest, and will make all thine enemies turn their back to thee.

28 E nviaré delante de ti la avispa, que eche de tu presencia al heveo, al cananeo y al heteo.

And I will send hornets before thee, which shall drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite, from before thee.

29 N o los expulsaré de tu presencia en un año, para que no quede la tierra desierta ni se multipliquen contra ti las fieras del campo.

I will not drive them out from before thee in one year: lest the land become desolate, and the beast of the field multiply against thee.

30 P oco a poco los echaré de tu presencia, hasta que te multipliques y tomes posesión de la tierra.

By little and little I will drive them out from before thee, until thou art fruitful, and possess the land.

31 F ijaré tus límites desde el Mar Rojo hasta el mar de los filisteos y desde el desierto hasta el Éufrates, porque pondré en tus manos a los habitantes de la tierra y tú los arrojarás de delante de ti.

And I will set thy bounds from the Red Sea even unto the sea of the Philistines, and from the wilderness unto the river; for I will give the inhabitants of the land into your hand, that thou mayest dispossess them from before thee.

32 » No harás alianza con ellos ni con sus dioses.

Thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor with their gods.

33 E n tu tierra no habitarán, no sea que te hagan pecar contra mí sirviendo a sus dioses, porque te será tropiezo.»

They shall not dwell in thy land, lest they make thee sin against me; for if thou serve their gods, it is sure to be a snare unto thee.
