1 ( По слав. 103.) Благославяй, душо моя, Господа. Господи, Боже мой, Ти си твърде велик, с блясък и величие си облечен -

Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul! O Lord my God, You are very great! You are clothed with honor and majesty—

2 Т и, Който се обличаш със светлината като с дреха и простираш небето като завеса;

Who covers Yourself with light as with a garment, Who stretches out the heavens like a curtain or a tent,

3 К ойто издигаш високите Си обиталища над водите, правиш облаците Своя колесница и вървиш с крилете на вятъра;

Who lays the beams of the upper room of His abode in the waters, Who makes the clouds His chariot, Who walks on the wings of the wind,

4 К ойто правиш ангелите Си силни като ветровете и слугите Си - като огнения пламък;

Who makes winds His messengers, flames of fire His ministers.

5 К ойто си положил земята на основата ѝ, за да не се поклати за вечни времена.

You laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be moved forever.

6 П окрил си я с морето като с дреха; водите застанаха над планините.

You covered it with the deep as with a garment; the waters stood above the mountains.

7 О т Твоето смъмряне те побегнаха, от гласа на гърма Ти се впуснаха в бяг.

At Your rebuke they fled; at the voice of Your thunder they hastened away.

8 И здигнаха се планините, снишаваха се долините на мястото, което беше определил за тях.

The mountains rose, the valleys sank down to the place which You appointed for them.

9 П оложил си граница на водите, за да не могат да преминат, нито да се върнат пак да покрият земята.

You have set a boundary which they may not pass over, that they turn not again to deluge the earth.

10 Т и си, Който изпращаш извори в доловете, за да текат между планините.

He sends forth springs into the valleys; their waters run among the mountains.

11 Н апояват всички полски зверове; с тях дивите осли утоляват жаждата си;

They give drink to every beast of the field; the wild asses quench their thirst there.

12 п ри тях небесните птици живеят и пеят между клоните.

Beside them the birds of the heavens have their nests; they sing among the branches.

13 Т и си, Който поиш планините от високите Си обиталища, така че от плода на Твоите дела се насища земята;

He waters the mountains from His upper rooms; the earth is satisfied and abounds with the fruit of His works.

14 п равиш да никне трева за добитъка и зеленчуци, необходими на човека, за да изважда храна от земята,

He causes vegetation to grow for the cattle, and all that the earth produces for man to cultivate, that he may bring forth food out of the earth—

15 и вино, което весели сърцето на човека и прави да лъщи лицето му повече от дървено масло, и хляб, който укрепва сърцето на човека.

And wine that gladdens the heart of man, to make his face shine more than oil, and bread to support, refresh, and strengthen man’s heart.

16 В еликолепните дървета се наситиха, ливанските кедри, които Господ е насадил,

The trees of the Lord are watered abundantly and are filled with sap, the cedars of Lebanon which He has planted,

17 к ъдето птиците си свиват гнезда и елхите са жилище на щъркела;

Where the birds make their nests; as for the stork, the fir trees are her house.

18 в исоките планини са дом на дивите кози, канарите са прибежище на дивите зайци.

The high mountains are for the wild goats; the rocks are a refuge for the conies and badgers.

19 Т ой е определил луната, за да показва времената; слънцето знае кога да залязва.

appointed the moon for the seasons; the sun knows its setting.

20 С пускаш тъмнина и настава нощ, когато всичките горски зверове се разхождат.

You make darkness and it becomes night, in which creeps forth every wild beast of the forest.

21 Л ъвчетата реват за плячка и търсят от Бога храна.

The young lions roar after their prey and seek their food from God.

22 И згрее ли слънцето, те си отиват и лягат в рововете си.

When the sun arises, they withdraw themselves and lie down in their dens.

23 Ч овек излиза на работата си и се труди до вечерта.

Man goes forth to his work and remains at his task until evening.

24 К олко са разнообразни Твоите дела, Господи! С мъдрост си направил всички тях; земята е пълна с Твоите творения.

O Lord, how many and varied are Your works! In wisdom have You made them all; the earth is full of Your riches and Your creatures.

25 Е то голямото и просторно море, където има безброй пълзящи животни - животни малки и големи.

Yonder is the sea, great and wide, in which are swarms of innumerable creeping things, creatures both small and great.

26 Т ам плават корабите; там е и чудовището, което си създал да играе в него.

There go the ships of the sea, and Leviathan (the sea monster), which You have formed to sport in it.

27 В сички те от Теб очакват да им дадеш навреме храната.

These all wait and are dependent upon You, that You may give them their food in due season.

28 К аквото им даваш, те го събират; отваряш ръката Си и те се насищат с блага,

When You give it to them, they gather it up; You open Your hand, and they are filled with good things.

29 с криеш ли лицето Си, те се смущават; прибираш ли дъха им, те умират и се връщат в пръстта си.

When You hide Your face, they are troubled and dismayed; when You take away their breath, they die and return to their dust.

30 И зпращаш ли Духа Си, те се създават; и подновяваш лицето на земята.

When You send forth Your Spirit and give them breath, they are created, and You replenish the face of the ground.

31 Н ека трае довека славата Господня; нека се радва в делата Си Господ,

May the glory of the Lord endure forever; may the Lord rejoice in His works—

32 К ойто, когато гледа към земята, тя трепери, когато се допира до планините, те димят.

Who looks on the earth, and it quakes and trembles, Who touches the mountains, and they smoke!

33 Щ е пея на Господа, докато съм жив; ще славословя моя Бог, докато съществувам.

I will sing to the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have any being.

34 Д а Му бъде приятно моето размишление; аз ще се веселя в Господа.

May my meditation be sweet to Him; as for me, I will rejoice in the Lord.

35 Н ека се довършат грешните от земята и нечестивите да ги няма вече. Благославяй, душо моя, Господа. Алилуя.

Let sinners be consumed from the earth, and let the wicked be no more. Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul! Praise the Lord! (Hallelujah!)
