1 Д умите на Хелкевия син Еремия, един от свещениците, които бяха в Анатот във Вениаминовата земя,

The words of Jeremiah the son of Hilkiah, one of the priests who were in Anathoth in the land of Benjamin.

2 к ъм когото дохождаше Господното слово в дните на Юдовия цар Иосия, Амоновия син, в тринадесетата година от царуването му.

Yahweh’s word came to him in the days of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah, in the thirteenth year of his reign.

3 Д охождаше и в дните на Юдовия цар Иоаким, син на Иосия, до края на единадесетата година на Юдовия цар Седекия, син на Иосия, до пленяването на Ерусалим в петия месец.

It came also in the days of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, to the end of the eleventh year of Zedekiah, the son of Josiah, king of Judah, to the carrying away of Jerusalem captive in the fifth month.

4 П рочее, Господното слово дойде към мене и рече:

Now Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,

5 П реди да ти дам образ в корема, познах те, и преди да излезеш из утробата, осветих те. Поставих те за пророк на народите.

“Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. Before you were born, I sanctified you. I have appointed you a prophet to the nations.”

6 Т огава рекох: О, Господи Иеова! ето, аз не зная да говоря, защото съм дете.

Then I said, “Ah, Lord Yahweh! Behold, I don’t know how to speak; for I am a child.”

7 А Господ ми рече: Не думай - Дете съм; защото при всичките, при които ще те пратя, ще идеш, и всичко, що ти заповядвам, ще кажеш.

But Yahweh said to me, “Don’t say, ‘I am a child;’ for you must go to whomever I send you, and you must say whatever I command you.

8 Д а се не боиш от тях; защото Аз съм с тебе, за да те избавям, казва Господ.

Don’t be afraid because of them, for I am with you to rescue you,” says Yahweh.

9 Т огава Господ простря ръката Си та я допря до устата ми; и Господ ми рече: Ето, турих думите Си в устата ти.

Then Yahweh stretched out his hand, and touched my mouth. Then Yahweh said to me, “Behold, I have put my words in your mouth.

10 В иж, днес те поставих над народите и над царствата, за да изкореняваш и да съсипваш, да погубваш и да събаряш, да градиш и да садиш.

Behold, I have today set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, to uproot and to tear down, to destroy and to overthrow, to build and to plant.”

11 П ри това, Господното слово дойде към мене и рече: Що виждаш, Еремие? И рекох: Виждам бадемова пръчка.

Moreover Yahweh’s word came to me, saying, “Jeremiah, what do you see?” I said, “I see a branch of an almond tree.”

12 Т огава Господ ми рече: Право си видял; защото Аз бързам да изпълня словото Си.

Then Yahweh said to me, “You have seen well; for I watch over my word to perform it.”

13 И втори път дойде Господното слово към мене и рече: Що виждаш ти? И рекох: Виждам котел, който възвира; и лицето му е от север.

Yahweh’s word came to me the second time, saying, “What do you see?” I said, “I see a boiling cauldron; and it is tipping away from the north.”

14 Т огава Господ ми рече: От север ще избухне зло Върху всичките жители на тая земя.

Then Yahweh said to me, “Out of the north, evil will break out on all the inhabitants of the land.

15 З ащото, ето, Аз ще повикам Всичките колена на северните царства, казва Господ; И те ще дойдат и ще поставят всеки престола си Във входа на ерусалимските порти, И срещу всичките стени около него, И срещу всичките Юдови градове.

For, behold, I will call all the families of the kingdoms of the north,” says Yahweh. “They will come, and they will each set his throne at the entrance of the gates of Jerusalem, and against all its walls all around, and against all the cities of Judah.

16 И ще произнеса съдбите Си против тях Поради всичкото им нечестие, Гдето Ме оставиха, и кадиха на чужди богове, И се поклониха на делата на своите ръце.

I will utter my judgments against them concerning all their wickedness, in that they have forsaken me, and have burned incense to other gods, and worshiped the works of their own hands.

17 Т и, прочее, опаши кръста си, И стани та им кажи всичко, което ще ти заповядам; Да се не уплашиш от тях, Да не би Аз да те уплаша пред тях.

“You therefore put your belt on your waist, arise, and say to them all that I command you. Don’t be dismayed at them, lest I dismay you before them.

18 З ащото, ето, Аз те поставих днес Като укрепен град, железен стълб, И като медни стени против цялата страна, Против царете на Юда, против първенците му, Против свещениците му, и против людете на тая страна.

For, behold, I have made you today a fortified city, an iron pillar, and bronze walls, against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, against its princes, against its priests, and against the people of the land.

19 Т е ще воюват против тебе, Но няма да ти надвият; Защото Аз съм тебе, за да те избавям, казва Господ.

They will fight against you, but they will not prevail against you; for I am with you”, says Yahweh, “to rescue you.”
