1 A nd the whole congregation of the children of Israel assembled themselves together at Shiloh, and set up the tent of meeting there: and the land was subdued before them.

Toda la congregación de los hijos de Israel se reunió en Silo, y erigieron allí el tabernáculo de reunión, después que la tierra les fue sometida.

2 A nd there remained among the children of Israel seven tribes, which had not yet divided their inheritance.

Pero habían quedado de los hijos de Israel siete tribus a las cuales aún no habían repartido su posesión.

3 A nd Joshua said unto the children of Israel, How long are ye slack to go in to possess the land, which Jehovah, the God of your fathers, hath given you?

Y Josué dijo a los hijos de Israel: ¿Hasta cuándo seréis negligentes para venir a poseer la tierra que os ha dado Jehová el Dios de vuestros padres?

4 A ppoint for you three men of each tribe: and I will send them, and they shall arise, and walk through the land, and describe it according to their inheritance; and they shall come unto me.

Señalad tres varones de cada tribu, para que yo los envíe, y que ellos se levanten y recorran la tierra, y la describan conforme a sus heredades, y vuelvan a mí.

5 A nd they shall divide it into seven portions: Judah shall abide in his border on the south, and the house of Joseph shall abide in their border on the north.

Y la dividirán en siete partes; y Judá quedará en su territorio al sur, y los de la casa de José en el suyo al norte.

6 A nd ye shall describe the land into seven portions, and bring the description hither to me; and I will cast lots for you here before Jehovah our God.

Vosotros, pues, delinearéis la tierra en siete partes, y me traeréis la descripción aquí, y yo os echaré suertes aquí delante de Jehová nuestro Dios.

7 F or the Levites have no portion among you; for the priesthood of Jehovah is their inheritance: and Gad and Reuben and the half-tribe of Manasseh have received their inheritance beyond the Jordan eastward, which Moses the servant of Jehovah gave them.

Pero los levitas ninguna parte tienen entre vosotros, porque el sacerdocio de Jehová es la heredad de ellos; Gad también y Rubén, y la media tribu de Manasés, ya han recibido su heredad al otro lado del Jordán al oriente, la cual les dio Moisés siervo de Jehová.

8 A nd the men arose, and went: and Joshua charged them that went to describe the land, saying, Go and walk through the land, and describe it, and come again to me; and I will cast lots for you here before Jehovah in Shiloh.

Levantándose, pues, aquellos varones, fueron; y mandó Josué a los que iban para delinear la tierra, diciéndoles: Id, recorred la tierra y delineadla, y volved a mí, para que yo os eche suertes aquí delante de Jehová en Silo.

9 A nd the men went and passed through the land, and described it by cities into seven portions in a book; and they came to Joshua unto the camp at Shiloh.

Fueron, pues, aquellos varones y recorrieron la comarca, delineándola ciudad por ciudad en siete partes en un escrito que llevaron a Josué al campamento en Silo.

10 A nd Joshua cast lots for them in Shiloh before Jehovah: and there Joshua divided the land unto the children of Israel according to their divisions.

Y Josué les echó suertes delante de Jehová en Silo; y allí repartió Josué la tierra a los hijos de Israel por sus porciones. La tribu de Benjamín

11 A nd the lot of the tribe of the children of Benjamin came up according to their families: and the border of their lot went out between the children of Judah and the children of Joseph.

Y se sacó la suerte de la tribu de los hijos de Benjamín conforme a sus familias; y el territorio adjudicado a ella quedó entre los hijos de Judá y los hijos de José.

12 A nd their border on the north quarter was from the Jordan; and the border went up to the side of Jericho on the north, and went up through the hill-country westward; and the goings out thereof were at the wilderness of Beth-aven.

Su límite por el lado norte partía del Jordán, y subía en dirección al norte sobre la vertiente de Jericó, se elevaba por la montaña a occidente y terminaba en el desierto de Bet-avén.

13 A nd the border passed along from thence to Luz, to the side of Luz (the same is Beth-el), southward; and the border went down to Ataroth-addar, by the mountain that lieth on the south of Beth-horon the nether.

De allí pasa en dirección de Luz, al lado sur de Luz (que es Betel), y desciende de Atarot-adar al monte que está al sur de Bethorón la de abajo.

14 A nd the border extended thence, and turned about on the west quarter southward, from the mountain that lieth before Beth-horon southward; and the goings out thereof were at Kiriath-baal (the same is Kiriath-jearim), a city of the children of Judah: this was the west quarter.

Y tuerce hacia el oeste por el lado sur del monte que está delante de Bet-horón al sur; y viene a salir a Quiryat-baal (que es Quiryat-jearim), ciudad de los hijos de Judá. Éste es el lado del occidente.

15 A nd the south quarter was from the uttermost part of Kiriath-jearim; and the border went out westward, and went out to the fountain of the waters of Nephtoah;

El lado del sur es desde el extremo de Quiryat-jearim, y sale al occidente, a la fuente de las aguas de Neftoa;

16 a nd the border went down to the uttermost part of the mountain that lieth before the valley of the son of Hinnom, which is in the vale of Rephaim northward; and it went down to the valley of Hinnom, to the side of the Jebusite southward, and went down to En-rogel;

y desciende este límite al extremo del monte que está delante del valle del hijo de Hinom, que está al norte en el valle de Refaím; desciende luego al valle de Hinom, al lado sur del jebuseo, y de allí desciende a la fuente de Rogel.

17 a nd it extended northward, and went out at En-shemesh, and went out to Geliloth, which is over against the ascent of Adummim; and it went down to the stone of Bohan the son of Reuben;

Luego se inclina hacia el norte y sale a En-semes, y de allí a Gelilot, que está delante de la subida de Adumín, y desciende a la piedra de Bohán hijo de Rubén,

18 a nd it passed along to the side over against the Arabah northward, and went down unto the Arabah;

y pasa al lado que está enfrente del Arabá, y desciende al Arabá.

19 a nd the border passed along to the side of Beth-hoglah northward; and the goings out of the border were at the north bay of the Salt Sea, at the south end of the Jordan: this was the south border.

Y pasa el límite al lado norte de Bet-hoglá, y termina en la bahía norte del Mar Salado, a la extremidad sur del Jordán; éste es el límite sur.

20 A nd the Jordan was the border of it on the east quarter. This was the inheritance of the children of Benjamin, by the borders thereof round about, according to their families.

Y el Jordán era el límite al lado del oriente. Ésta es la heredad de los hijos de Benjamín por sus límites alrededor, conforme a sus familias. Ciudades de Benjamín

21 N ow the cities of the tribe of the children of Benjamin according to their families were Jericho, and Beth-hoglah, and Emek-keziz,

Las ciudades de la tribu de los hijos de Benjamín, por sus familias, fueron Jericó, Bet-hoglá, el valle de Casís,

22 a nd Beth-arabah, and Zemaraim, and Beth-el,

Bet-arabá, Zemaraim, Betel,

23 a nd Avvim, and Parah, and Ophrah,

Avim, Pará, Ofrá,

24 a nd Chephar-ammoni, and Ophni, and Geba; twelve cities with their villages:

Quefar-haamoní, Ofní y Gabá; doce ciudades con sus aldeas;

25 G ibeon, and Ramah, and Beeroth,

Gabaón, Ramá, Beerot,

26 a nd Mizpeh, and Chephirah, and Mozah,

Mizpá, Quefirá, Mozá,

27 a nd Rekem, and Irpeel, and Taralah,

Réquem, Yirpeel, Taralá,

28 a nd Zelah, Eleph, and the Jebusite (the same is Jerusalem), Gibeath, and Kiriath; fourteen cities with their villages. This is the inheritance of the children of Benjamin according to their families.

Zela, Elef, Jebús (que es Jerusalén), Guibeá y Quiryat; catorce ciudades con sus aldeas. Ésta es la heredad de los hijos de Benjamín conforme a sus familias.
