H e bought the hill Samaria of Shemer for two talents of silver; and he built on the hill, and called the name of the city which he built Samaria, after the name of Shemer, the owner of the hill.

El a cumpărat de la Şemer dealul Samariei cu doi talanţi de argint; apoi a zidit o cetate pe deal şi i-a pus numele Samaria, după numele lui Şemer, fostul proprietar al dealului.
