T hey took Absalom and cast him into the great pit in the forest, and raised over him a very great heap of stones. Then all Israel fled, each to his own tent.

Und sie nahmen Absalom und warfen ihn in den Wald in eine große Grube und legten einen sehr großen Haufen Steine auf ihn. Und das ganze Israel floh, ein jeglicher in seine Hütte.
