A l ver todos los israelitas que el rey no les había hecho caso, reaccionaron contra él y le dijeron: «¿Qué tenemos nosotros que ver con David? ¡No tenemos nada que ver con el hijo de Yesé! ¡Vamos, israelitas, regresen a sus campamentos! ¡Y tú, David, ocúpate de tu casa!» Fue así como todos los israelitas se fueron a sus tiendas.

When all Israel saw that the king did not listen to them the people answered the king, saying, “ What portion do we have in David? We have no inheritance in the son of Jesse. Every man to your tents, O Israel; Now look after your own house, David.” So all Israel departed to their tents.
