A l ver todos los israelitas que el rey no les había hecho caso, reaccionaron contra él y le dijeron: «¿Qué tenemos nosotros que ver con David? ¡No tenemos nada que ver con el hijo de Yesé! ¡Vamos, israelitas, regresen a sus campamentos! ¡Y tú, David, ocúpate de tu casa!» Fue así como todos los israelitas se fueron a sus tiendas.

And when all Israel saw that the king would not hearken unto them, the people answered the king, saying, What portion have we in David? and we have none inheritance in the son of Jesse: every man to your tents, O Israel: and now, David, see to thine own house. So all Israel went to their tents.
