L -am auzit într-adevăr pe Efraim văitându-se: «M-ai disciplinat ca pe un viţel nedeprins la jug şi am fost disciplinat. Întoarce-mă Tu şi mă voi întoarce, căci Tu eşti Domnul, Dumnezeul meu.

I have surely heard Ephraim moaning thus: You have chastised me, and I was chastised, like a bullock unaccustomed to the yoke; bring me back, that I may be restored, for You are the Lord my God.
