A sa a luat tot argintul şi aurul care rămăsese în vistieriile Casei Domnului şi în vistieriile palatului regelui şi l-a dat slujitorilor săi. Apoi, regele Asa i-a trimis pe aceştia la Ben-Hadad, fiul lui Tab-Rimon, fiul lui Hezion, regele Aramului, care locuia în Damasc, zicându-i astfel:
