A llora Asa prese tutto l’argento e l’oro che era rimasto nei tesori della casa del Signore, prese i tesori del palazzo del re e li affidò ai suoi servitori, che mandò presso Ben-Adad, figlio di Tabrimmon, figlio di Chesion, re di Siria, che abitava a Damasco, per dirgli:
