u nd kam zwischen das Heer der Ägypter und das Heer Israels. Es war aber eine finstere Wolke und erleuchtete die Nacht, daß sie die ganze Nacht, diese und jene, nicht zusammenkommen konnten.

It came between the camp of Egypt and the camp of Israel; and there was the cloud and the darkness, yet gave it light by night: and one didn’t come near the other all night.
