E t David dit à Joab et aux chefs du peuple: Allez, faites le dénombrement d'Israël, depuis Beer Schéba jusqu'à Dan, et rapportez-le-moi, afin que je sache à combien il s'élève.

So David said to Joab and to the princes of the people, “ Go, number Israel from Beersheba even to Dan, and bring me word that I may know their number.”
