M as Siom, rei de Hesbom, não nos quis deixar passar por sua terra, porquanto o Senhor teu Deus lhe endurecera o espírito, e lhe fizera obstinado o coração, para to entregar nas mãos, como hoje se vê.

But Sihon king of Heshbon would not let us pass by him; for Yahweh your God hardened his spirit, and made his heart obstinate, that he might deliver him into your hand, as it is today.
