1 F erice de cei fără prihană în calea lor, cari umblă întotdeauna după Legea Domnului!

Blessed are they that are perfect in the way, Who walk in the law of Jehovah.

2 F erice de ceice păzesc poruncile Lui, cari -L caută din toată inima lor,

Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, That seek him with the whole heart.

3 c ari nu săvîrşesc nicio nelegiuire, şi umblă în căile Lui!

Yea, they do no unrighteousness; They walk in his ways.

4 T u ai dat poruncile Tale ca să fie păzite cu sfinţenie.

Thou hast commanded us thy precepts, That we should observe them diligently.

5 O , de ar ţinti căile mele la păzirea orînduirilor Tale!

Oh that my ways were established To observe thy statutes!

6 A tunci nu voi roşi de ruşine, la vederea tuturor poruncilor Tale!

Then shall I not be put to shame, When I have respect unto all thy commandments.

7 T e voi lăuda cu inimă neprihănită, cînd voi învăţa legile dreptăţii Tale.

I will give thanks unto thee with uprightness of heart, When I learn thy righteous judgments.

8 V reau să păzesc orînduirile Tale: nu mă părăsi de tot!

I will observe thy statutes: Oh forsake me not utterly. BETH.

9 C um îşi va ţinea tînărul curată cărarea? Îndreptîndu-se după Cuvîntul Tău.

Wherewith shall a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed thereto according to thy word.

10 T e caut din toată inima mea; nu mă lăsa să mă abat dela poruncile Tale.

With my whole heart have I sought thee: Oh let me not wander from thy commandments.

11 S trîng Cuvîntul Tău în inima mea, ca să nu păcătuiesc împotriva Ta!

Thy word have I laid up in my heart, That I might not sin against thee.

12 B inecuvîntat să fii Tu, Doamne! Învaţă-mă orînduirile Tale!

Blessed art thou, O Jehovah: Teach me thy statutes.

13 C u buzele mele vestesc toate hotărîrile gurii Tale.

With my lips have I declared All the ordinances of thy mouth.

14 C înd urmez învăţăturile Tale, mă bucur de parc'aş avea toate comorile.

I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, As much as in all riches.

15 M ă gîndesc adînc la poruncile Tale, şi cărările Tale le am supt ochi.

I will meditate on thy precepts, And have respect unto thy ways.

16 M ă desfătez în orînduirile Tale, şi nu uit Cuvîntul Tău.

I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word. GIMEL.

17 F ă bine robului Tău, ca să trăiesc şi să păzesc Cuvîntul Tău!

Deal bountifully with thy servant, that I may live; So will I observe thy word.

18 D eschide-mi ochii, ca să văd lucrurile minunate ale Legii Tale!

Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold Wondrous things out of thy law.

19 S înt un străin pe pămînt: nu-mi ascunde poruncile Tale!

I am a sojourner in the earth: Hide not thy commandments from me.

20 T otdeauna mi se topeşte sufletul de dor după legile tale.

My soul breaketh for the longing That it hath unto thine ordinances at all times.

21 T u mustri pe cei îngîmfaţi, pe blestemaţii aceştia, cari se rătăcesc de la poruncile Tale.

Thou hast rebuked the proud that are cursed, That do wander from thy commandments.

22 R idică de peste mine ocara şi dispreţul! Căci păzesc învăţăturile Tale.

Take away from me reproach and contempt; For I have kept thy testimonies.

23 S ă tot stea voevozii şi să vorbească împotriva mea: robul tău cugetă adînc la orînduirile Tale.

Princes also sat and talked against me; But thy servant did meditate on thy statutes.

24 Î nvăţăturile Tale sînt desfătarea mea şi sfătuitorii mei.

Thy testimonies also are my delight And my counsellors. DALETH.

25 S ufletul meu este lipit de ţărînă: înviorează-mă, după făgăduinţa Ta!

My soul cleaveth unto the dust: Quicken thou me according to thy word.

26 E u îmi istorisesc căile, şi Tu mă asculţi: învaţă-mă orînduirile Tale!

I declared my ways, and thou answeredst me: Teach me thy statutes.

27 F ă-mă să pricep calea poruncilor Tale, şi voi cugeta la lucrurile Tale cele minunate.

Make me to understand the way of thy precepts: So shall I meditate on thy wondrous works.

28 Î mi plînge sufletul de durere: ridică-mă după Cuvîntul Tău!

My soul melteth for heaviness: Strengthen thou me according unto thy word.

29 D epărtează-mă de calea necredincioşiei către Tine, şi dă-mi îndurarea ta, ca să urmez Legea Ta!

Remove from me the way of falsehood; And grant me thy law graciously.

30 A leg calea adevărului, pun legile Tale supt ochii mei.

I have chosen the way of faithfulness: Thine ordinances have I set before me.

31 M ă ţin de învăţăturile Tale, Doamne, nu mă lăsa de ruşine!

I cleave unto thy testimonies: O Jehovah, put me not to shame.

32 A lerg pe calea poruncilor Tale, căci îmi scoţi inima la larg.

I will run the way of thy commandments, When thou shalt enlarge my heart. HE.

33 Î nvaţă-mă, Doamne, calea orînduirilor Tale, ca s'o ţin pînă în sfîrşit!

Teach me, O Jehovah, the way of thy statutes; And I shall keep it unto the end.

34 D ă-mi pricepere, ca să păzesc Legea Ta şi s'o ţin din toată inima mea!

Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; Yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart.

35 P ovăţuieşte-mă pe cărarea poruncilor Tale, căci îmi place de ea.

Make me to go in the path of thy commandments; For therein do I delight.

36 P leacă-mi inima spre învăţăturile Tale, şi nu spre cîştig!

Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, And not to covetousness.

37 A bate-mi ochii dela vederea lucrurilor deşarte, înviorează-mă în calea Ta!

Turn away mine eyes from beholding vanity, And quicken me in thy ways.

38 Î mplineşte-Ţi făgăduinţa faţă de robul Tău, făgăduinţa făcută pentru cei ce se tem de Tine!

Confirm unto thy servant thy word, Which is in order unto the fear of thee.

39 D epărtează dela mine ocara de care mă tem! Căci judecăţile Tale sînt pline de bunătate.

Turn away my reproach whereof I am afraid; For thine ordinances are good.

40 I ată, doresc să împlinesc poruncile Tale: fă-mă să trăiesc în neprihănirea cerută de Tine!

Behold, I have longed after thy precepts: Quicken me in thy righteousness. VAV.

41 S ă vină, Doamne, îndurarea Ta peste mine, mîntuirea Ta, după făgăduinţa Ta!

Let thy lovingkindnesses also come unto me, O Jehovah, Even thy salvation, according to thy word.

42 Ş i atunci voi putea răspunde celui ce mă batjocoreşte, căci mă încred în Cuvîntul Tău.

So shall I have an answer for him that reproacheth me; For I trust in thy word.

43 N u lua de tot din gura mea cuvîntul adevărului! Căci nădăjduiesc în judecăţile Tale.

And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; For I have hoped in thine ordinances.

44 V oi păzi Legea Ta necurmat, totdeauna şi pe vecie.

So shall I observe thy law continually For ever and ever.

45 V oi umbla în loc larg, căci caut poruncile Tale.

And I shall walk at liberty; For I have sought thy precepts.

46 V oi vorbi despre învăţăturile Tale înaintea împăraţilor, şi nu-mi va roşi obrazul.

I will also speak of thy testimonies before kings, And shall not be put to shame.

47 M ă desfătez în poruncile Tale, căci le iubesc.

And I will delight myself in thy commandments, Which I have loved.

48 Î mi întind mînile spre poruncile Tale, pe cari le iubesc, şi vreau să mă gîndesc adînc la orînduirile Tale.

I will lift up my hands also unto thy commandments, which I have loved; And I will meditate on thy statutes. ZAYIN.

49 A du-Ţi aminte de făgăduinţa dată robului Tău, în care m'ai făcut să-mi pun nădejdea!

Remember the word unto thy servant, Because thou hast made me to hope.

50 A ceasta este mîngîierea mea în necazul meu: că făgăduinţa Ta îmi dă iarăş viaţă.

This is my comfort in my affliction; For thy word hath quickened me.

51 N işte îngîmfaţi mi-aruncă batjocuri; totuş eu nu mă abat dela Legea Ta.

The proud have had me greatly in derision: Yet have I not swerved from thy law.

52 M ă gîndesc la judecăţile Tale de odinioară, Doamne, şi mă mîngîi.

I have remembered thine ordinances of old, O Jehovah, And have comforted myself.

53 M 'apucă o mînie aprinsă la vederea celor răi, cari părăsesc Legea Ta.

Hot indignation hath taken hold upon me, Because of the wicked that forsake thy law.

54 O rînduirile Tale sînt prilejul cîntărilor mele, în casa pribegiei mele.

Thy statutes have been my songs In the house of my pilgrimage.

55 N oaptea îmi aduc aminte de Numele Tău, Doamne, şi păzesc Legea Ta.

I have remembered thy name, O Jehovah, in the night, And have observed thy law.

56 A şa mi se cuvine, căci păzesc poruncile Tale.

This I have had, Because I have kept thy precepts. HHETH.

57 P artea mea, Doamne, o spun, este să păzesc cuvintele Tale.

Jehovah is my portion: I have said that I would observe thy words.

58 T e rog din toată inima mea: ai milă de mine, după făgăduinţa Ta!

I entreated thy favor with my whole heart: Be merciful unto me according to thy word.

59 M ă gîndesc la căile mele, şi îmi îndrept picioarele spre învăţăturile Tale.

I thought on my ways, And turned my feet unto thy testimonies.

60 M ă grăbesc, şi nu preget să păzesc poruncile Tale.

I made haste, and delayed not, To observe thy commandments.

61 C ursele celor răi mă înconjoară, dar nu uit Legea Ta.

The cords of the wicked have wrapped me round; But I have not forgotten thy law.

62 M ă scol la miezul nopţii să Te laud pentru judecăţile Tale cele drepte.

At midnight I will rise to give thanks unto thee Because of thy righteous ordinances.

63 S înt prieten cu toţi cei ce se tem de Tine, şi cu cei ce păzesc poruncile Tale.

I am a companion of all them that fear thee, And of them that observe thy precepts.

64 P ămîntul, Doamne, este plin de bunătatea Ta; învaţă-mă orînduirile Tale!

The earth, O Jehovah, is full of thy lovingkindness: Teach me thy statutes. TETH.

65 T u faci bine robului Tău, Doamne, după făgăduinţa Ta.

Thou hast dealt well with thy servant, O Jehovah, according unto thy word.

66 Î nvaţă-mă să am înţelegere şi pricepere, căci cred în poruncile Tale.

Teach me good judgment and knowledge; For I have believed in thy commandments.

67 P înă ce am fost smerit, rătăceam; dar acum păzesc Cuvîntul Tău.

Before I was afflicted I went astray; But now I observe thy word.

68 T u eşti bun şi binefăcător: învaţă-mă orînduirile tale!

Thou art good, and doest good; Teach me thy statutes.

69 N işte îngîmfaţi urzesc neadevăruri împotriva mea; dar eu păzesc din toată inima mea poruncile Tale.

The proud have forged a lie against me: With my whole heart will I keep thy precepts.

70 I nima lor este nesimţitoare ca grăsimea: dar eu mă desfătez în Legea Ta.

Their heart is as fat as grease; But I delight in thy law.

71 E ste spre binele meu că m'ai smerit, ca să învăţ orînduirile Tale.

It is good for me that I have been afflicted; That I may learn thy statutes.

72 M ai mult preţuieşte pentru mine legea gurii Tale, decît o mie de lucruri de aur şi de argint.

The law of thy mouth is better unto me Than thousands of gold and silver. YODH.

73 M îinile Tale m'au făcut, şi m'au întocmit; dă-mi pricepere, ca să învăţ poruncile Tale!

Thy hands have made me and fashioned me: Give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandments.

74 C ei ce se tem de Tine mă văd şi se bucură, căci nădăjduiesc în făgăduinţele Tale.

They that fear thee shall see me and be glad, Because I have hoped in thy word.

75 Ş tiu, Doamne, că judecăţile Tale sînt drepte: din credincioşie m'ai smerit.

I know, O Jehovah, that thy judgments are righteous, And that in faithfulness thou hast afflicted me.

76 F ă ca bunătatea Ta să-mi fie mîngîierea, cum ai făgăduit robului Tău!

Let, I pray thee, thy lovingkindness be for my comfort, According to thy word unto thy servant.

77 S ă vină peste mine îndurările Tale, ca să trăiesc, căci Legea Ta este desfătarea mea.

Let thy tender mercies come unto me, that I may live; For thy law is my delight.

78 S ă fie înfruntaţi îngîmfaţii cari mă asupresc fără temei! Căci eu mă gîndesc adînc la poruncile Tale.

Let the proud be put to shame; For they have overthrown me wrongfully: But I will meditate on thy precepts.

79 S ă se întoarcă la mine, cei ce se tem de Tine, şi cei ce cunosc învăţăturile Tale!

Let those that fear thee turn unto me; And they shall know thy testimonies.

80 I nima să-mi fie neîmpărţită în orînduirile Tale, ca să nu fiu dat de ruşine!

Let my heart be perfect in thy statutes, That I be not put to shame. KAPH.

81 Î mi tînjeşte sufletul după mîntuirea Ta: nădăjduiesc în făgăduinţa Ta.

My soul fainteth for thy salvation; But I hope in thy word.

82 M i se topesc ochii după făgăduinţa Ta, şi zic:,, Cînd mă vei mîngîia?``

Mine eyes fail for thy word, While I say, When wilt thou comfort me?

83 C ăci am ajuns ca un burduf pus în fum; totuş nu uit orînduirile Tale.

For I am become like a wine-skin in the smoke; Yet do I not forget thy statutes.

84 C are este numărul zilelor robului Tău? Cînd vei pedepsi pe cei ce mă prigonesc?

How many are the days of thy servant? When wilt thou execute judgment on them that persecute me?

85 N işte îngîmfaţi sapă gropi înaintea mea; nu lucrează după Legea ta.

The proud have digged pits for me, Who are not according to thy law.

86 T oate poruncile tale nu sînt decît credincioşie; ei mă prigonesc fără temei: ajută-mă!

All thy commandments are faithful: They persecute me wrongfully; help thou me.

87 G ata, gata să mă doboare şi să mă prăpădească, dar eu nu părăsesc poruncile Tale.

They had almost consumed me upon earth; But I forsook not thy precepts. LAMEDH.

88 Î nviorează-mă după bunătatea Ta, ca să păzesc învăţăturile gurii Tale!

Quicken me after thy lovingkindness; So shall I observe the testimony of thy mouth.

89 C uvîntul Tău, Doamne, dăinuieşte în veci în ceruri.

For ever, O Jehovah, Thy word is settled in heaven.

90 C redincioşia ta ţine din neam în neam; Tu ai întemeiat pămîntul, şi el rămîne tare.

Thy faithfulness is unto all generations: Thou hast established the earth, and it abideth.

91 D upă legile Tale stă în picioare totul astăzi, căci toate lucrurile Îţi sînt supuse.

They abide this day according to thine ordinances; For all things are thy servants.

92 D acă n'ar fi fost Legea Ta desfătarea mea, aş fi pierit în ticăloşia mea.

Unless thy law had been my delight, I should then have perished in mine affliction.

93 N iciodată nu voi uita poruncile Tale, căci prin ele mă înviorezi.

I will never forget thy precepts; For with them thou hast quickened me.

94 A l Tău sînt: mîntuieşte-mă! Căci caut poruncile Tale.

I am thine, save me; For I have sought thy precepts.

95 N işte răi mă aşteaptă ca să mă piardă; dar eu iau aminte la învăţăturile Tale.

The wicked have waited for me, to destroy me; But I will consider thy testimonies. MEM.

96 V ăd că tot ce este desăvîrşit are margini: poruncile Tale însă sînt fără margini.

I have seen an end of all perfection; But thy commandment is exceeding broad.

97 C ît de mult iubesc Legea Ta! Toată ziua mă gîndesc la ea.

Oh how love I thy law! It is my meditation all the day.

98 P oruncile Tale mă fac mai înţelept decît vrăjmaşii mei, căci totdeauna le am cu mine.

Thy commandments make me wiser than mine enemies; For they are ever with me.

99 S înt mai învăţat decît toţi învăţătorii mei, căci mă gîndesc la învăţăturile Tale.

I have more understanding than all my teachers; For thy testimonies are my meditation.

100 A m mai multă pricepere decît bătrînii, căci păzesc poruncile Tale.

I understand more than the aged, Because I have kept thy precepts.

101 Î mi ţin piciorul departe de orice drum rău, ca să păzesc Cuvîntul Tău.

I have refrained my feet from every evil way, That I might observe thy word.

102 N u mă depărtez de legile Tale, căci Tu mă înveţi.

I have not turned aside from thine ordinances; For thou hast taught me.

103 C e dulci sînt cuvintele Tale pentru cerul gurii mele! Mai dulci decît mierea în gura mea!

How sweet are thy words unto my taste! Yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!

104 P rin poruncile Tale mă fac mai priceput, deaceea urăsc orice cale a minciunii.

Through thy precepts I get understanding: Therefore I hate every false way. NUN.

105 C uvîntul Tău este o candelă pentru picioarele mele, şi o lumină pe cărarea mea.

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, And light unto my path.

106 J ur, -şi mă voi ţinea de jurămînt, -că voi păzi legile Tale cele drepte.

I have sworn, and have confirmed it, That I will observe thy righteous ordinances.

107 S înt foarte amărît: înviorează-mă, Doamne, după Cuvîntul Tău!

I am afflicted very much: Quicken me, O Jehovah, according unto thy word.

108 P rimeşte, Doamne, simţimintele pe cari le spune gura mea, şi învaţă-mă legile Tale!

Accept, I beseech thee, the freewill-offerings of my mouth, O Jehovah, And teach me thine ordinances.

109 V iaţa îmi este necurmat în primejdie, şi totuş nu uit Legea Ta.

My soul is continually in my hand; Yet do I not forget thy law.

110 N işte răi îmi întind curse, dar eu nu mă rătăcesc dela poruncile Tale.

The wicked have laid a snare for me; Yet have I not gone astray from thy precepts.

111 Î nvăţăturile Tale sînt moştenirea mea de veci, căci ele sînt bucuria inimii mele.

Thy testimonies have I taken as a heritage for ever; For they are the rejoicing of my heart.

112 Î mi plec inima să împlinesc orînduirile Tale, totdeauna şi pînă la sfîrşit.

I have inclined my heart to perform thy statutes For ever, even unto the end. SAMEKH.

113 U răsc pe oamenii nehotărîţi, dar iubesc Legea Ta.

I hate them that are of a double mind; But thy law do I love.

114 T u eşti adăpostul şi scutul meu; eu nădăjduiesc în făgăduinţa Ta.

Thou art my hiding-place and my shield: I hope in thy word.

115 D epărtaţi-vă de mine, răilor, ca să păzesc poruncile Dumnezeului meu!

Depart from me, ye evil-doers, That I may keep the commandments of my God.

116 S prijineşte-mă, după făgăduinţa Ta, ca să trăiesc, şi nu mă lăsa de ruşine în nădejdea mea!

Uphold me according unto thy word, that I may live; And let me not be ashamed of my hope.

117 F ii sprijinul meu, ca să fiu scăpat, şi să mă veselesc neîncetat de orînduirile Tale!

Hold thou me up, and I shall be safe, And shall have respect unto thy statutes continually.

118 T u dispreţuieşti pe toţi ceice se depărtează de orînduirile Tale, căci înşelătoria lor este zădarnică.

Thou hast set at nought all them that err from thy statutes; For their deceit is falsehood.

119 C a spuma iei pe toţi cei răi de pe pămînt: de aceea eu iubesc învăţăturile Tale.

Thou puttest away all the wicked of the earth like dross: Therefore I love thy testimonies.

120 M i se înfioară carnea de frica Ta, şi mă tem de judecăţile Tale.

My flesh trembleth for fear of thee; And I am afraid of thy judgments. AYIN.

121 P ăzesc legea şi dreptatea: nu mă lăsa în voia asupritorilor mei!

I have done justice and righteousness: Leave me not to mine oppressors.

122 I a supt ocrotirea Ta binele robului Tău, şi nu mă lăsa apăsat de nişte îngîmfaţi!

Be surety for thy servant for good: Let not the proud oppress me.

123 M i se topesc ochii după mîntuirea Ta, şi după făgăduinţa Ta cea dreaptă.

Mine eyes fail for thy salvation, And for thy righteous word.

124 P oartă-Te cu robul Tău după bunătatea Ta, şi învaţă-mă orînduirile Tale!

Deal with thy servant according unto thy lovingkindness, And teach me thy statutes.

125 E u sînt robul tău; dă-mi pricepere, ca să cunosc învăţăturile Tale.

I am thy servant; give me understanding, That I may know thy testimonies.

126 E ste vremea ca Domnul să lucreze: căci ei calcă Legea Ta.

It is time for Jehovah to work; For they have made void thy law.

127 D e aceea, eu iubesc poruncile Tale, mai mult de cît aurul, da, mai mult decît aurul curat:

Therefore I love thy commandments Above gold, yea, above fine gold.

128 D e aceea găsesc drepte toate poruncile Tale, şi urăsc orice cale a minciunii.

Therefore I esteem all thy precepts concerning all things to be right; And I hate every false way. PE.

129 Î nvăţăturile Tale sînt minunate: de aceea le păzeşte sufletul meu.

Thy testimonies are wonderful; Therefore doth my soul keep them.

130 D escoperirea cuvintelor Tale dă lumină, dă pricepere celor fără răutate.

The opening of thy words giveth light; It giveth understanding unto the simple.

131 D eschid gura şi oftez, căci sînt lacom după poruncile Tale.

I opened wide my mouth, and panted; For I longed for thy commandments.

132 Î ntoarce-Ţi Faţa spre mine, şi ai milă de mine, după obiceiul Tău faţă de ceice iubesc Numele Tău!

Turn thee unto me, and have mercy upon me, As thou usest to do unto those that love thy name.

133 Î ntăreşte-mi paşii în Cuvîntul Tău, şi nu lăsa nici o nelegiuire să stăpînească peste mine!

Establish my footsteps in thy word; And let not any iniquity have dominion over me.

134 I zbăveşte-mă de asuprirea oamenilor, ca să păzesc poruncile Tale!

Redeem me from the oppression of man: So will I observe thy precepts.

135 F ă să strălucească Faţa Ta peste robul Tău, şi învaţă-mă orînduirile Tale!

Make thy face to shine upon thy servant; And teach me thy statutes.

136 O chii îmi varsă şiroaie de ape, pentrucă Legea Ta nu este păzită.

Streams of water run down mine eyes, Because they observe not thy law. TSADHE.

137 T u eşti drept, Doamne, şi judecăţile Tale sînt fără prihană.

Righteous art thou, O Jehovah, And upright are thy judgments.

138 T u Îţi întemeiezi învăţăturile pe dreptate, şi pe cea mai mare credincioşie.

Thou hast commanded thy testimonies in righteousness And very faithfulness.

139 R îvna mea mă mănîncă, pentru că protivnicii mei uită cuvintele Tale.

My zeal hath consumed me, Because mine adversaries have forgotten thy words.

140 C uvîntul Tău este cu totul încercat, şi robul Tău îl iubeşte.

Thy word is very pure; Therefore thy servant loveth it.

141 S înt mic şi dispreţuit, dar nu uit poruncile Tale.

I am small and despised; Yet do I not forget thy precepts.

142 D reptatea Ta este o dreptate vecinică, şi Legea Ta este adevărul.

Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, And thy law is truth.

143 N ecazul şi strîmtorarea mă ajung, dar poruncile Tale sînt desfătarea mea.

Trouble and anguish have taken hold on me; Yet thy commandments are my delight.

144 Î nvăţăturile Tale sînt drepte pe vecie: dă-mi pricepere, ca să trăiesc!

Thy testimonies are righteous for ever: Give me understanding, and I shall live. QOPH.

145 T e chem din toată inima mea: ascultă-mă, Doamne, ca să păzesc orînduirile Tale.

I have called with my whole heart; answer me, O Jehovah: I will keep thy statutes.

146 T e chem: mîntuieşte-mă, ca să păzesc învăţăturile Tale!

I have called unto thee; save me, And I shall observe thy testimonies.

147 O iau înaintea zorilor şi strig; nădăjduiesc în făgăduinţele Tale.

148 O iau înaintea străjilor de noapte, şi deschid ochii, ca să mă gîndesc adînc la Cuvîntul Tău.

Mine eyes anticipated the night-watches, That I might meditate on thy word.

149 A scultă-mi glasul, după bunătatea Ta: înviorează-mă, Doamne, după judecata ta!

Hear my voice according unto thy lovingkindness: Quicken me, O Jehovah, according to thine ordinances.

150 S e apropie ceice urmăresc mişelia, şi se depărtează de Legea Ta.

They draw nigh that follow after wickedness; They are far from thy law.

151 D ar Tu eşti aproape, Doamne, şi toate poruncile Tale sînt adevărul.

Thou art nigh, O Jehovah; And all thy commandments are truth.

152 D e multă vreme ştiu din învăţăturile Tale, că le-ai aşezat pentru totdeauna.

Of old have I known from thy testimonies, That thou hast founded them for ever. RESH.

153 V ezi-mi ticăloşia, şi izbăveşte-mă, căci nu uit Legea Ta.

Consider mine affliction, and deliver me; For I do not forget thy law.

154 A pără-mi pricina, şi răscumpără-mă, înviorează-mă după făgăduinţa Ta.

Plead thou my cause, and redeem me: Quicken me according to thy word.

155 M întuirea este departe de cei răi, căci ei nu caută orînduirile Tale.

Salvation is far from the wicked; For they seek not thy statutes.

156 M ari sînt îndurările Tale, Doamne! Înviorează-mă după judecăţile Tale!

Great are thy tender mercies, O Jehovah: Quicken me according to thine ordinances.

157 M ulţi sînt prigonitorii şi protivnicii mei, dar nu mă depărtez de învăţăturile Tale.

Many are my persecutors and mine adversaries; Yet have I not swerved from thy testimonies.

158 V ăd cu scîrbă pe cei necredincioşi Ţie, cari nu păzesc Cuvîntul Tău.

I beheld the treacherous, and was grieved, Because they observe not thy word.

159 V ezi cît de mult iubesc eu poruncile Tale: înviorează-mă, Doamne, după bunătatea Ta!

Consider how I love thy precepts: Quicken me, O Jehovah, according to thy lovingkindness.

160 T emelia Cuvîntului Tău este adevărul, şi toate legile Tale cele drepte sînt vecinice.

The sum of thy word is truth; And every one of thy righteous ordinances endureth for ever. SHIN.

161 N işte voievozi mă prigonesc fără temei, dar inima mea nu tremură decît de cuvintele Tale.

Princes have persecuted me without a cause; But my heart standeth in awe of thy words.

162 M ă bucur de Cuvîntul Tău, ca cel ce găseşte o mare pradă.

I rejoice at thy word, As one that findeth great spoil.

163 U răsc şi nu pot suferi minciuna, dar iubesc Legea Ta.

I hate and abhor falsehood; But thy law do I love.

164 D e şapte ori pe zi Te laud, din pricina legilor Tale celor drepte.

Seven times a day do I praise thee, Because of thy righteous ordinances.

165 M ultă pace au ceice iubesc Legea Ta, şi nu li se întîmplă nicio nenorocire.

Great peace have they that love thy law; And they have no occasion of stumbling.

166 E u nădăjduiesc în mîntuirea Ta, Doamne, şi împlinesc poruncile Tale.

I have hoped for thy salvation, O Jehovah, And have done thy commandments.

167 S ufletul meu ţine învăţăturile Tale, şi le iubesc mult de tot!

My soul hath observed thy testimonies; And I love them exceedingly.

168 P ăzesc poruncile şi învăţăturile Tale, căci toate căile mele sînt înaintea Ta.

I have observed thy precepts and thy testimonies; For all my ways are before thee. TAV.

169 S ă ajungă strigătul meu pînă la Tine, Doamne! Dă-mi pricepere, după făgăduinţa Ta.

Let my cry come near before thee, O Jehovah: Give me understanding according to thy word.

170 S ă ajungă cererea mea pînă la Tine! Izbăveşte-mă, după făgăduinţa Ta!

Let my supplication come before thee: Deliver me according to thy word.

171 B uzele mele să vestească lauda Ta, căci Tu mă înveţi orînduirile Tale!

Let my lips utter praise; For thou teachest me thy statutes.

172 S ă cînte limba mea Cuvîntul Tău, căci toate poruncile Tale sînt drepte!

Let my tongue sing of thy word; For all thy commandments are righteousness.

173 M îna Ta să-mi fie într'ajutor, căci am ales poruncile Tale.

Let thy hand be ready to help me; For I have chosen thy precepts.

174 S uspin după mîntuirea Ta, Doamne, şi Legea Ta este desfătarea mea.

I have longed for thy salvation, O Jehovah; And thy law is my delight.

175 S ă-mi trăiască sufletul şi să Te laude, şi judecăţile Tale să mă sprijinească!

Let my soul live, and it shall praise thee; And let thine ordinances help me.

176 R ătăcesc ca o oaie pierdută: caută pe robul Tău, căci nu uit poruncile Tale.

I have gone astray like a lost sheep; Seek thy servant; For I do not forget thy commandments.
