J oash said to all who stood against him, “Will you contend for Baal? Or will you save him? He who will contend for him, let him be put to death by morning! If he is a god, let him contend for himself, because someone has broken down his altar!”

Pero Joás dijo a todos los que estaban contra él: “¿Lucharán ustedes por Baal, o lo librarán? A cualquiera que luche por él, se le dará muerte antes de llegar la mañana. Si es un dios, que luche por sí mismo, porque alguien ha derribado su altar.”
