T hen Joshua spoke to Yahweh in the day when Yahweh delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel. He said in the sight of Israel, “Sun, stand still on Gibeon! You, moon, stop in the valley of Aijalon!”

Então Josué falou ao Senhor, no dia em que o Senhor entregou os amorreus na mão dos filhos de Israel, e disse na presença de Israel: Sol, detém-se sobre Gibeão, e tu, lua, sobre o vale de Aijalom.
