I srael struck him with the edge of the sword, and possessed his land from the Arnon to the Jabbok, even to the children of Ammon; for the border of the children of Ammon was strong.

Israel aber schlug ihn mit der Schärfe des Schwerts und nahm sein Land ein vom Arnon an bis an den Jabbok und bis an die Kinder Ammon; denn die Grenzen der Kinder Ammon waren fest.
